| Fort Marcy has not aged gracefully. At one time it may have been a pleasant establishment, but time has taken its toll. The bluish-green mold on the linoleum flooring in the bathroom next to the tub was a dead giveaway to the poor maintenance practices of the hotel. The enamel in the bottom of the tub was mostly nonexistent, as well as the enamel fixit paint that was supposed to cover up the missing enamel. The mattress on the bed was less comfortable than the ground pad that I sleep on when backpacking. I will not comment on the rest of the suite, as we checked out of Fort Marcy immediately. I lost the entire cost of the room (not to mention putting a damper on what was supposed to be a pleasant getaway) because I did not have sufficient information to cancel my reservation before checking in. A word to the wise, do not believe the attractive looking pictures of the rooms, they must have been taken several years ago.

| Spacious but poorly maintained. All the faucets needed new washers and dripped. Shades on windows that were either all open allshut no way to have light and privacy at the same time. Location excellent. Concierge unhelpful when asked questions regarding Easter services in Santa Fe. Our unit was a bit worn.

| We stayed in a 2 bdrm, 2 bath suite with my Mom and 2 kids, ages 1 and 2. Plenty of space to run around and give the kids some space after staying in other cramped hotels. Breakfast was just right for us - nothing fancy, but filling. Only drawback is location - difficult to find. Staff was very helpful with directions when I called.

| This is a VERY dated property- it is difficult to find, the service was poor and our unit (a 2 BR condo) was somewhat run down. Although the unit and property were clean and "tidy", the parking lot was in disrepair, they "forgot" to service our unit twice, and the complimentary breakfast was quite meagor. Beware before spending money at this facility.

| Fort Marcy Suites is not too far away from the downtown area. A lot of great shops and galleries. Rooms were nicely decorated in a Southwest theme. Room included a full kitchen, living room and individual bedroom. Nice comforts included a small library of books, DVDs and VHS tapes. The TVs were on the small side and would benefit from an upgrade on that end. Complimentary breakfast available - basic cereal, fruit and toast. One negative, that was out of the control of the hotel, was that we faced some car vandalism. 20 cars were vandalized in the early morning, as we had parked out on the street adjacent to our suite. I would recommend parking in the lot.

| Fort Marcy offers condos, many of which are individually owned. Decor varies. My son was not happy with only one small TV in the two bedroom suite. It can be a real bargain for a family. Good location, no luxury, but good solid accomodations. Friendly, nice breakfast.

| perfect location above the city. suites 51,53,55 look right out at the mountains. fort marcy park is right across the street to view the sunset and sunrise. easy walk down to the plaza, but i would suggest calling for the free shuttle back. it is a rather steep climb back. the condos are private residences, so they are nicely decorated and easy to live in. great place for a visit to santa fe. i can't wait to return

| If you don't need the services of a hotel, this condohotel is perfect. We loved the location - up above Santa Fe with great views yet only a 10 minute walk to the plaza. Condos are roomy but dated. We asked for an upgraded 1 br condo and instead got a dated 2 bedroom condo - oh well. The girl at the front desk didn't seem to care about any of our requests. Very private.

| Unit was older than we had expected but spacious and comfortable. Not at all impressed with staff and management. They don't seem to be very accomodating or knowledgeable of the area. The climb up the hill would probably be an issue for elderly as it can be a steep walk. Great location otherwise and short walk to plaza. Good value also.

| We stayed in a 2 bedroom / 2 bath suite. Although it was slighlty dated, it was very comfortable. The housekeeping staff came one day while we were still in the room and never came back that day to clean and then when they did, they did a poor job. I think that it says this hotel is like 4 blocks from the Plaza, which may be fairly true, but it would not be an easy walk, especially if you are traveling with a senior citizen. All in all, if we were to return to Santa Fe we would stay there again.

| The hotel was a little hard to find. Had to call desk for directions . Location is extremely convenient for all tourist activities but it is a little too far far to walk to the center of town. The suites were nicely decorated, but as each is privately owned condo, they will vary according to owner. The one bedroom that we stayed in had only a small very high window to see the promised mountain view. It was necessary to climb up on high chair to enjoy the view at all, and the roofs of the adjoining condos with protruding equipment made it less than idyllic. The front door and windows of the condo overlooked a small patio that abutted against a concrete retaining wall for the parking lot and gave no view at all. In order to see the promised sunset over the mountains or the Sangre de Christo peaks it was necessary to go up to the parking lot or across the street to a public park. The condo was clean and convenient and certainly luxurious for the cost of this hotel

| After reading the mixed reviews of the Fort Marcy Suites on this and other travel sites, my husband and I were a little nervous about our stay here. As a party of 4, we needed a two-room suite in the heart of Santa Fe. With somewhat low expectations upon arrival, we were SURPRISED to see how lovely, comfortable, and extremely roomy our TWO-FLOOR suite was. It had all the comforts of home: spacious kitchen; dining area; living room (sofa had a comfy pull-out bed) with fireplace; and two nice bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths! It also included a small terrace/balcony accessable by each bedroom. Complimentary breakfast (coffee, juices, cereals, bread, fruit) is available in the mornings at front office. Plenty of parking (lots available), but we preferred street parking, right outside of our suite (we stayed in a corner unit) I would HIGHLY recommend a stay at Fort Marcy. Ask for SUITE #70! Not sure if the other suites are as nice as this one. We would definitely stay here again!

| This was a condo unit, full kitchen (a little short on dishes), very nice digs, but with no hotel-type service except for cursory maid service. Our particular unit was one of a group that required climbing 19 steep steps from the parking lot, with no help with suitcases etc. Fine for young skiers, etc, but NOT for seniors like us. When booking, I suggest you specify a need for easy access.

| We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo at Ft Marcy Suites. The condo was very spacious and felt like a small, simple home. Each unit is individually owned -- our unit was on the older side and simply decorated. The complex is showing it's age with some wear & tear. It was great off-season value for the amount of space. The pool is small, the jacuzzi needs new jets. I would stay there again, but know I wouldn't recommend it to people who normally stay in nicer hotels. It is walkable to Old Town for those in good shape who can deal with the uphill climb.

| Overall Fort Marcy Suites is a good value. The unit we were in was outdated and in need of upgrading but everything worked properly, it was well equipped and clean. It was really nice to have a full living area and kitchen instead of just a hotel room. For the price of two standard hotel rooms we got two bedrooms, two baths and the living, dining and kitchen areas. It is true that the property really isn't within walking distance to anything but it has such a nice open feel and it is so quiet that it's worth it. Besides, the free shuttle service was very convenient. The driver was always prompt, courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast was a bit lame both in terms of hours offered and selection. I've never seen a continental breakfast without muffins or pastries. Unlike most places, they will not let you take your breakfast back to your room. That's a bit of an inconvenience since the breakfast room gets pretty crowded. The breakfast felt pretty cheap. We were surprised that there was no ice machine on site but were able to buy a small bag at the front desk for $2. That seemed odd but it was more convenient than going elsewhere to buy ice. Overall, it's a good value and I'd probably return when we have more than two in our group. Hopefully we'd get a nicer unit next time.

| As we turned onto Artist Rd, we were wondering exactly what we got into as we read Fort Marcy Compound...hahaha, sick joke. We had a 1 bedroom condo, with almost every amenitie we could ask for. It was like the comfort of home. Not to mention the owner can decorate! We saw a couple huge jackrabbits at night, and it was right on the road you take from downtown Sana Fe to the Ski Santa Fe area 15 miles away. I highly recommend this condo to those that are on vacation. It has all the comforts of home with great location central to everything from skiing to dining to museums.

| We had a two bedroom, two bath suite and it was very comfortable. It was snowy and beautiful outside and we were warm and toasty inside. We did have our own car so transportation was not a problem, but there is a shuttle that can take you the short distance to the Plaza, or to any restaurant, I suppose. We think it beats staying in any motel/hotel. Oh, we reported the dishwasher broken and men were there in 20 minutes and repaired it. Can't get that kind of service at home!

| This hotel has all the comforts of home including living room with wood burning stove, dining room and kitchen (equipped with stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and all utensils). The bedrooms were roomy, and well stocked with extra pillows and blankets (you may need them on the cold winter nights). Bathrooms were clean and fresh towels supplied daily. A short drive into downtown -- if you even want to leave! The view is amazing in all directions.
