Very clean well kept hotel, lots of activities for children, pie in the face trivia, treasure hunts etc, pools and landscaping were well kept, and the bar at the pool was great for food and drink, the only thing was the sleep sofa, not very comfortable for the kids.

The room had a great layout, had all amenities, and was clean. It was also situated on convenient highways/roads to Disney World. The pools and bar had a cuise like atmosphere - very fun and a lot of planned activities. Hotel staff were very responsive about out park passes and followed up by phone.

Stayed at the Oak Plantation in Mid January with my wife and child. Overall we all had a nice stay and enjoyed ourselves. We first were given a very small room that had a big black stain on the carpet. We called to get them to clean it and were given a larger room right next door. The larger room had a washer and dryer and MUCH more room. (they gave other people our old room -I guess the stain didn't bother them)Our room had ants too that seemed to come from the Garbage disposal. We also had to beg for toilet paper for some strange reason since they would only bring one roll at a time. The maintenance workers were always speeding around in golf carts 24x7 but I guess TP and stained carpets weren't their top priorities. They asked us at check-in to do the breakfast but we declined. They called one other time in the week and we politely said no thanks. The grounds are real nice and well kept. The pool and jacuzzi are beautiful! Nice and quiet except for the occasional Jet takeoff that will practically pop your ears out!

the hotel is actually a old apartment complex they converted to "hotel rooms" but their business is not the hotel business, its timeshares they are more worried about getting you to go to their time share meeting to get you to buy one of these converted apartments then they are about being a hotel. this is not a place to stay for a vacation its a place to stay and get harrased daily about going to some "VIP breakfast" which is really their sales pitch. I recoment staying some where more hotel focused.

I stayed at a 2-room deluxe villa. The villa was large and comfortable. Cleanliness wasn't great, but in line with what you can expect from a hotel. Location is reasonably good, around 10 minutes from the parks. No high-speed internet access in the room, and the internet cafe they have doesn't allow to connect you own computer.

The person at the front desk when we called was extremely helpful and stayed on the phone with us until we arrived (we were lost). This is a condominium with all the ameneties. It had a washer/dryer, ice maker, stove and the pools were terrific. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again and will tell everyone about it. We went to Sea World which was a little bit of a drive away but it was still worth it. The only draw back of the rooms was that there was no non smoking. It reeked of cigaratte smoke but we opened some windows and brought air freshner in and it was liveable. We still had a very nice time.

The sheets were dirty when we arrived with little black hairs all over the sheets and blanket. The blanket also had clear stains all over it that you could feel, but not see. There was a wasp nest outside our door that was never taken care of, even though we reported it. There is a washing machine in the room, but no detergent.

We have stayed here twice. Both times we loved the place. It is definitly a home away from home. The only thing that I did not care for was the 1 bedroom unit we stayed in during our last visit. It was a lot smaller than the 1 bedroom unit we stayed in 2 years ago. Overall, this is a great place for the kids and I would recommend it to anyone!

The Oak Plantation Resort Vacation Villas is a nice resort tucked away behind the "old part" of Vine in Kissimmee. You would never find it without a map, which is nice. It's in a wooded area that gives it a country feel, and it's designed around a huge pond that makes you forget you're in the middle of commercialized Orlando. The one bedroom units are pretty small, so you wouldn't want to stay in one with more than one couple. Even with the fold-out, it's too small to be comfortable if you had kids or anything. The pool, spa, tennis, and basketball courts are in great shape and are a great amenity. The "work-out" room was pretty minimalist and certainly not worth the trip. The front desk staff was a bit of a disappointment. Certainly not very friendly or helpful. Although I called a couple times looking for faxes that I knew had been sent, I didn't get them until I checked out -- three days after they had arrived. The timeshare people were low key and took no for an answer. They were not pushy on the "set up a time" thing, and that was nice. The location was good for getting to and from everything -- the convention center, the airport, Disney, Universal. That part of Vine is a little seedy though, so there's not much real close in the way of nice restaurants. As long as you have a car, this place is great.

The resort itself is very nice, and the condo was fairly comfortable. However, the floors/walls are very, very thin. We had to endure the sound of the people upstairs using the bathrooms, which is a most unpleasent sound.

They gave a welcome packet, and provided info concerning parks and restaurants. I found it to be comfortable. I would go back.

We stayed for a total of seven nights. We found the room very clean and the checkin was speedy. Be sure to check the coupons in the lobby for local discounts. I didn't notice them and the clerk did not suggest I check them out. We were not pestered by anyone to attend a sales meeting. We found this stay to be a great value. The only trouble was some construction on a general store on the property immediately adjacent to our room. There was also work being done to repair the roof. It was quite noisy at times and one day they began hammering on the other side of our wall before 7am. I called the front desk and they were very responsive and the hammering subsided until about 8:00. I would recommend this place for extended stay but if your going to Disney any time soon, be prepared to spend some extra time on HWY 192 which is under a huge amount of construction. Drive time to Disney is 30-45 minutes. Be aware that the second floor one bedroom model has an open staircase inside the room which is dangerous for small children.
