| Loved waking up and being able to overlook the pool and the ocean. Can't beat having a balcony. Not the best on the strip, but who can afford the Hilton? Hotel could use some work, but what hotel doesn't? I'll be back to this hotel.

| The hotel staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The room needed some vacuuming, but was comfortable overall. We had a oceanfront room which provided great views of the beach and pool. The outdoor pool was a little dirty but may be expected for May. The hotel is not ideally located in Daytona - farther on the beach away from other larger hotels, boardwalk and pier. No immediate bars, clubs, or restaurants located near hotel or on the beach - we had to drive our car to restaraunts, which was unfortunate. If you are looking for relaxation, it is a great, quiet location (at least in May). If you are looking for nightlife, look elsewhere. For the low price, I'd highly recommend it.

| I booked at the Tropical Winds based on reading recent reviews. The reviews were on target. This is a nice family-friendly hotel. The room was clean; the refrigerator was spotless. The onsite cafe was adequate for breakfast or lunch. The outside pool was a decent size with a beautiful pool deck. And the ocean was just a few steps away!

| Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was clean and taken care of each day. The room needed some serious maintenance. Sliding door was broken, baseboard was sticking out away from the wall and overall it was not a 3 star hotel.

| This was my second trip to Daytona and this hotel was very similar to the previous one we stayed at. We liked the location because it was a little further away from all the shopping & boardwalk area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The condition of the hotel is like alot of other beach front hotels in that could use a little "uprgrading" but that did not spoil our fun. Oceanfront rooms have a nice small porch & balcony and the pool area was nice.

| Nice staff. Fairly good sized rooms. All balconies were private, but you could see and talk with all your neighbors by hanging out the balcony.
