This hotel appears nice when you approach, however, between the lack of courtesy of the night desk help, and the unavailability of the manager "after hours", along with the delapitated condition of the rooms (some of them), it is far from what it appears to be on the surface. Dig deep and you will find that the desk help can not "make any changes without the approval of the manager" yet, the "manager is not answering" and they "don't know when he will be back." It takes too much time and aggrevation to actually get the service your money deserves to not choose another hotel to stay in- believe me, there are plenty to choose from in Bakersfield, and a good amount are in the same price range. Take a look around, I am sure you will find better service and more up-to-date accomodations (the one room had a television that had to be from the 1970's with the channel dial and the tube that kept fading to black). The choice is yours, but the reccomendation is to look elsewhere!!!

The hotel looks nice when you drive up, but the rooms are old and smelly. The continetel breakfast is just cold cereal and a bottle of juice set out on the counter. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

We were at this hotel 3 nights. The pool, hottub and grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was a little skimpy but it was enough. Our room was clean and the service friendly. We would return. It was very convenient to Highway 99 so getting around was easy.

There isn't much at the hotel. But it serves the purpose for sleeping away from home.

At first arrival, grounds were overgrown and unkept. Room was diry, carpets were so dirty that my socks were totally black. Several issues with non working items.

The first room we had was filthy and old. Woke up in the morning at 6am to absolutly NO hot water. Front desk said the problem was fixed and that we should wait for an hour before taking a shower. At 11:30am they moved us to rooms that had hot water. The front desk and manager were very rude about the whole situation despite our patience with them.

We went to 3 different rooms before the hotel actually gave us a card that would work to open the room. Both rooms smelled moldy and the housekeepers did not change our sheets or the spreads. I finally had to ask one of the housekeepers if she could change the sheets for us and she did. We were there for a full week. I also had money taken out of my room while we were gone. The manager was also very rude. We were pretty much their only customers for the week except for a couple of people who stayed one night and I can understand why. I would have left but due to the circumstances on which we were there (death), I had other things to take care of.
