| Great location--right on the water, with a terrific view from the lanai. Nice ambience, with relaxed and happy guests, including families. A laidback atmosphere with a wonderful view; what more could you want? And you can walk to some shops and restaurants. The price is very reasonable, too. We hope to be able to return, and we would gladly recommend it.

| Fabulous location, right on the water, but the unit was rundown. The sheets were threadbare, 3 sets of louvre windows would not open and close properly (I ended up just jamming them closed), several dresser drawers were broken, the switch on one of the bedroom lamps was broken, and there was a bra left in a drawer. We were not told anything about late check-in--upon arrival, there was a sign posted to call the number of a property management company. The rather unfriendly person who answered gave us the combination of a drop box to retrieve our keys--it would have been quite annoying had we not had a cell phone. We enjoyed our stay, it was great just sitting on our balcony looking out over the ocean, but certainly don't feel that the Kihei Surfside deserves the 3-star rating that Expedia gives it.
