This was our first trip to Seattle and this was the perfect hotel. We were about 5 blocks from Pike Place Market and about 1 block from food and coffee. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The only thing I noticed was that the bathroom was a tad small. I can't wait to go back!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Paramount. Although it has the feel of an older hotel, the manager commented it was not that old. The lobby was very inviting and cozy, with gas logs and sofas to sit on. My room had quite a good view and was confortable enough. I had two meals in the restaurant adjoining the lobby and it was reasonably priced and served a combination of Asian and American food. Breakfast was huge. I had one breakfast in my room which came on time and was still warm from the kitchen. The concierge here was very helpful, and when I made a return visit to Elliott's they served a hot crab cake as an appetizer " compliments of the concierge!"...I take that as a way the restaurant returns the favor. Although the staff if efficient, they are not overly friendly. But the hotel is very well run and seemed to be filled the four days I was there.

The hotel was nice. The staff was pleasant and helpful, but not over the top. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Great night sleep. Would stay again. We walked everywhere.

We looked at a construction crane out our window the entire time we were there. The staff was rude when asked questions regarding Seattle and locations of certain places. Not necessarily worthy of the 3 1/2 stars it was awarded.

The staff at the hotel was great, but the management seems intent on squeezing every penny it can out of its guests. The rooms are expensive, and then require you to pay more for in-room internet access. The heater in the room was inadequate and loud, making it difficult to sleep because of the cold and the noise. Not a good value for your dollar.

Good location, but the value for money was very poor. The hotel although clean and well maintained is in need of renovation, or the nightly rates need to be lowered more in line with the condition and amenities of the rooms. Other hotels in downtown Seattle for similar prices offer much more luxurious and modern accomodations.
