| Room had no hot water for 2 days. Rooms magnetic keys were not working every evening. Elevator has long has long wait.Breakfast is expensive but food is lousy.

| If you are not staying in Amsterdam long, this is a great choice. Inexpensive and great location, close to everything.If you require a more comfortable atmosphere with more ammenities I would suggest a four or five star hotel in the same area, near the Rembrantplein.

| I took the train to central train station and #4 tram to within a block of the hotel. Was there a week and walked to Rembrandthaus, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Jewish History Museum,Musik Theater, Torture Museum,Magna Plaza, Dam Place and yes Red Light District. Near EasyInternet cafe and Mulligans Irish Pub 1/2 block away and music most nights. Great breakfast there but tons of restaurants in the area too. Hotel is right on the Amstel river which adds to the charm.
