| It seems like renovations on this hotel were never finished. The rooms have missing baseboards, the walls had cracks, one of the walls in my room near the window had was very badly in need of repair and two walls in the bathroom had 2 holes. The lobby of the hotel looks nice but that is all a front. I don't think I would stay there again. I rather pay for more and get a room that is decent enough. I didn't complain to the manager because I only slept in my room, it's not like I stayed my entire trip's time in the room. Also I was with roommates and we were in New Orleans to have fun - not worry about the interior repairs.

| I paid way too much to stay in this hotel. I arrived at noon. Check-in time was at 4. They said the room would be ready at 1:30. I went back and it wasn't. I called at 3 - still not ready. I went at 4 - not ready yet. Five o'clock I got my room! The door was wide-open and tv on. The bed situation was not what I ordered. They vaccummed while I showered to go to the big game! In checking out, they added multiple charges for the safe-deposit box and phone, which I never touched. Beware - the elevator is slow and missing buttons, while the stairs lead to an emergency exit.

| Service is poor. We had to wait more than 15 minutes to register, with only one people before us. It was an unusually cold night in New Orleans, and the room was chilly. The heat didn't work, they didn't offer us a different room, were very slow in repairing it, and even after that, the room was never really warm. Breakfast is poor, and they finish it at 9 am. Hidden charges: we were charged $ 7,90 daily for telephone and security box, even as we didn't use them.

| The room was not clean. The water in the shower came out in five trickles. The hair dryer did not work. A friends room had no hot water for 3 days that could not be fixed so they finally changed her hotel. Another guests toilet was stopped for 3 hours. The clerk on duty would do nothing repeatedly as it was "not his job". This was the same clerk who would not get us a different hair dryer on New Year's Eve! Other staff were wonderful & very helpful. But some of the other hotels in the French Quarter possibly are worse but there are others that are really nice but a lot more expensive.

| We were there for the Sugar Bowl. OK rooms. Very good location but too expensive for the quality of the hotel.

| The location of this hotel was great for my attendance of a meeting at the convention center. I could walk or get a shuttle ride around the corner from the Marriott Hotel on Canal. The stay was marked by mistakenly getting put in a large, strange old suite the first night, but then being politely moved to a non-smoking, updated, corner room the next day. It was also a bit noisy due to construction on the road below. Otherwise euro-quaint. Convenient restaurant off lobby with continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
