There are just too many people within the hotel trying to sell something to guests. I feel if I want to buy something I will do it on my own. I just felt as if some of the "workers" were too pushy.....it just made my husband and I avoid some of the places in the casino, but I guess overall we had a pretty good trip and stay at the hotel. Why don't the rooms look like the ones that I've seen shown on television and on the web pages? They look so much different on the web and television.

The bathroom was great, marble tub and granite counter, and it was a very good-sized room. We asked for the Monaco tower as a friend said good things about it. The room was clean and the view was nice. The hotel is at the far northern part of the strip - be sure to stop in across the street for the biggest hot dog you've ever seen for $1.49! I was impressed with the hotel to say the least, especially considering it's much much less tham most others in the area. The casino isn't much to write home about, but who gambles where they sleep anyway!? have fun!

Considering we weren't going to spend a lot of time in the room, we wanted comfort. There was very little service other than from the Housekeeping staff, which accomodated us in every way. The valet service was poor and not customer friendly, the self-parking was not easy to find and was drenched in the rain even though it was a covered garage. The elevators to the rooms were not easy to find and there wasn't any baggage service. The price was the best part of the deal. The room was clean and spacious but the walls are a little thin. Checking in was almost all automated with very little customer service. Checking out was easy through the t.v. system.

I do work in a hotel so I am not the best at rating because I look for everything...Bad and good - so I can never rest. I was pleased with my room selection and the view!!!!! I also liked the express c/o and c/i computers. I don't have them in my hotel and it was fast. Also the hotel was clean and did not smell so bad of smoke like others. Thanks for everything!!

I lived in three hotels in LV for my trip on Dec. 2004. This hotel is the only hotel who charged extra money, energy/heating fees. I reserved a non-smoking room, however, they gave me a smoking room. I even found some hair on the bed-sheet just after checked in.

I did not anticipate the quality of the service and accommodations that the Riveria presented given the large number of "higher end" and 5-star hotels in Las Vegas. The Riveria holds its' own in comparison to the other hotels and I will definitely go back!

My husband is somewhat handicaped - We have never been there before. There automatic checkin system Stinks! It is anything but user friendly. There was no one around to help or ask questions regarding the accomodations or directions. The room was OK, but not what we wanted. Again no one to ask. There was no one around to find out where the room was. A BUSY bellman (the only person I could find, told me it was in the back building.) The Doorman at the front of the building (very curt) didn't know how to explaine how I could get to the back of the building to park, (my husband is 79, partially handicaped and could no way walk the distance from the front of the building to the back tower. I guess the doorman was mad that we didn't get valet service. We got a bellman to take our bags and he tryed to tell us where to go for the back parking lot. FOUND IT! Now we went in the back door, and there was NO ONE to ask how to get to the elevators for the back building. Not one clerk, promotion person, no one we asked new. (The attitude of all we asked was "Why are you asking me?") There was no place, (not one bench, chair or stool) for my husband to sit while I went looking for a way to get to our room. The attitude of most all employees of the hotel (including the waitress in the coffee shop) was haughty, rude and just plane STUNK!

Rapid check-in. Able to get with agent and change to more convenient location in minutes. Room was very clean, remodeled, tile bath--all much better than expected for a great Expedia price. Checked out by television. Used the 2 for 1 coupon for meal in the hotel restaurant. Reasonable price; food was fine; service excellent. Casino did not pay well though.

The layout of the hotel isn't all that great. Our room was very clean, however the rest of the hotel wasn't very clean looking and the general appearance of the hotel is not up to the standards I'm used to seeing in Las Vegas. The only way I'd stay at the Riviera again is if I had a conference at the hotel.

Enjoyed what was probably my 6th time at the Riviera. It's not the flashiest or hippest hotel in Vegas, but it's old-school Vegas and it is affordable. You'll find comfortable rooms, certainly more than adequate for the amount of time you spend in your hotel room when you are in Las Vegas.

We arrived late and it was almost one hour and a half (with very few people in line) for us to be checked in. There were no rooms ready for us, they put us in the penthouse suite with only two beds, we needed tbree one of us slept on a couch, because I complained that my 82 yr old mother was very tired. It was almost three am before we went to bed and we had to vacate the room early the next morning. Not a happy situation.
