The only thing that we were not satisfied was that the kitchenette did not have any utensils or pots, pans or kettles. (Although we did not initially ask for a kitchenette...) Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel service wasn't that great and there were numerous things wrong with our room (bed was slanted, bathroom light and fan worked intermitently), but it was ok enough for sleeping.

Rodeway Inn is old. The units have old carpets, old bathrooms, old furniture, old beds, old TVs, etc. The only thing new in these units is the high speed Internet access. You need to bring an ethernet cable which plugs into your laptop. The towels are clean. The sheets are clean. And the soap/shampoo are new. There's not much security in at Rodeway Inn because anyone can enter the hallway. But at least the rooms are secured by magnetic room cards. The wake up call service did not work. Luckily I woke up early without it. But that's why I noticed that the wake up service didn't work.

This is a very basic motel. Don't expect many extras. The staff was extremely nice. I only use a room to shower and sleep in. For the price, nothing more should be expected. There was no problem taking my small dog there.

If you're looking for cheap and close to casinos, and Heavenly gondola, this does the trick, but with so many options in Tahoe, I'd try something different next time. It's not dirty, just not up to date. But there is free internet (though no cable in the room) so I can't really speak to whether it works. And the staffers were all nice.

The location is excellent if you want to visit the casinos. One bit of advice: Bring your own blankets if you can.

Other than having free wirless internet and phone calls, this hotel is gross and disgusting. The heater didn't work and the front desk provide me with a portable one. The room had huge, fist size holes, that were patch and not painted over. The walls were dirty and had big nail holes not filled. The bathroom had paint peeling off all every where and plaster chucks that had fallen off the walls. There wasn't a handle on the sink stopper. Unless they give you a new refurbished room, shop around before spending the night here.

When we first arrived, we were quite skeptical. This motel definitel needs a "facelift". However, it turned out very well. EXCELLENT location, bed felt initially hard, but we both slept more comfortably than any other more "luxury" hotel we have ever stayed at. The room was very small, but quite clean. Staff was very accomodating. But again, at first look, this motel appears dirty and run down. Give it a chance, it's not that bad.

I wasn't expecting much from this motel, but when they put us in a 3rd floor room facing the back parking lot I was definitely not happy. The only window in the room had no screen which wasn't good for our three year old daughter. The room was very small and claustrophobic feeling, due in part to the one window that overlooked the back parking lot. The hallway to the room was in shabby condition and the grounds outside were not well kept. We asked to be moved into a different room, and that room was much larger, had a window that looked out the front, complete with a screen. We were offered a fridge and microwave at no charge, which was handy. Every night was very quiet, which was nice, and the pool was very clean.

My daughter and I were there for the end of the ski season. We spent 5 week nights. The owner/manager and staff were certainly pleasant enough and they provided AM coffee, juice, cereal, and toast. We almost had the place to ourselves. The worst was the beds were uncomfortable, hard with little padding. The best was large enough rooms and bathrooms, no crowds so no noise, and we were skiing so one afternoon the exterior spa was hot and refreshing. The location is 2 blocks to the back door at Harveys, otherwise 3 full blocks to the Casino area and 4 blocks to the Gondola.

We stayed at this hotel b/c all the major casinos were sold out and it was close by so we figured what the hell. The walls are extremely thin so you hear people slamming the doors and walking up and down the halls at all hours. The walls in the restroom where peeling. I barely wanted to take a shower in there.

This hotel was a joke! One of the chairs in our room was broken, water spots on the roof from leakage, cigarette butts on the windowsill, not enough parking for every car because of the snow, they said internet access (yeah, if you go down and sit in their 10x10 lobby and wait in line). We were very disappointed. The worst part was that we were on the third floor and it said there was an elevator, it was out of order. I have bad knees, so it was not good.
