| The property had all the benefits you expect from a resort. A spa, many activities for children and expansive grounds. All of that came at a cost, high but not exorbitant.

| Nice looking place but a total rip off...with the added "resort fees" and incredibly high priced food, as well as the highway robbery we encountered from the phone charges (we paid an average of $5.00 per minute + state and local charges) we felt quite ripped off. (we had not cell service within the resort) Not to mention the fact that when you call the desk for things they never answer or are not helpful...We caution anyone who doesn't have a bunch of cash they are willing to drop NOT to go here.

| My sons and I booked 2 nights here so we could dive with of the on-site scuba shop. We got a good rate on one of the hotel rooms, did not have an opportunity to check out their villas but they probably are very nice. Upon arrival many guests were standing around waiting for rooms so don't expect to get yours until the 4PM deadline. They have a major shortage of labor (advertising for many positions in the local paper). Resort is very spread out so bell service is critical if you have more than a carry-on. Bell service is also short staffed (we heard that many times for only a 2 day stay!) Restaurant service was very slow to the point of being almost non-existent during one meal while the waiter chatted with fellow employees around the corner ignoring our table during the entire meal. We had to get another staff person to refill our drinks. Food in the casual restaurant was good with outside seating and prices in line. Saving grace is the diving was good, dive shop very helpful and the resort has many family friendly amenities on site (multiple pools, tennis, bikes, arcade, teen center)but many have extra charges. Rooms were average but clean. However, overall I would stay there again given the fairly attractive Expedia rate we received. Just don't expect five star service or much more than a basic room. Without a car, you are captive to

| We stayed a week at Hawk's Cay and loved it! We stayed in a villa, which had a washer and dryer - that was very convenient with so many water activities available. The staff was excellent, the villa was decorated nicely. There was so much to do: shopping, water sports, restaurants. We also did the dolphin experience which was well worth the money. My only complaint was that, for the money, I expected very comfortable beds but the villa we stayed in had non-plush beds and comforters. However, every thing else was so superior, that it was a minor discomfort.

| Hawks Cay is a nice resort, with plenty of things to do and great food. But this is NOT a place for couples with no children who want to spend a relaxing and very quiet time in the keys. Unfortuneately, there was also a group of high school kids on a trip with 1-2 chaparones, and with the "adult" pool age requirement being 16 they invaded the adult pool and were quite loud. Couple in their 30's do not want to spend their 1st romantic vacation in 5 years hearing highschool kids talk about curfews and getting their driving permits. Even after numerous complaints by us and other adult couples, hotel management just told the kids to be quiet and once managment walked away they got loud again. We left a day early because we couldnt relax. Would be great for a family though if you are used to children making noise constantly. Another drawback is there is no direct access to the ocean. Just a lagoon that only allows boats. Would not stay here again.

| Hawks Cay is a beautiful resort, perfect for families and couples of all ages. Paradise all wrapped up on a 60 acre island in the USA. There are activities of all sorts on the premises along with restaurants, shops, a lagoon and several pools. The sky, water and cool breezes will bring you back to this wonderful resort for years to come. Great rooms, staff and the grounds just awesome!

There is so much to do, and not enough time in one week to experience it all. We rented a boat and fished for 1/2 day - even caught fish!! The kids loved it.... Will be back for more on another vacation. You must visit Bahia Honda State Park beach, it is wonderful....

| We had a great stay at this hotel and look forward to a return visit. We did not eat at the hotel. We had breakfast at Little Italy Rest about 5 - min north, or Mangrove Mike's Rest. about 12 min north in Islmarada. Both have big helpings of great food for a very fair price. With four pools & lagoon the hotel does not have the crowded feeling. Even though the weekend was sold out, we were always able to get to chairs by the adult's only pool. The grounds are nicely kept, but I think since you pay a resort fee, that the extras (tennis racket & balls, fishing rods, etc.) should be at no charge. The staff is very freindly, and always willing to help.

| This was a beautiful hotel for sure but the food was a little expensive, and the drinks were outrageous. The one thing that really upset us was at everything you bought they included gratuity right in the bill, and THEN added tax on top of it, so you had to pay their tax which is already high compared to what ours in MN on gratuity! And, I only give a really good tip if I get good service but that was not an option seeing as thought they tack it on to your bill. I would normally not leave a $4 tip to have to walk up to the bar to get a smoothie. My husband and I went to get a massage at the spa there and I almost gave a cash tip to the therapist. Then I got in the car and looked at our bill, there was already a $23 tip tacked on for both of us, and tax on that. $50 in gratuity for a massage that was less than an hour. Also, house keeping had a tendency of knocking on our door at 2-3pm to clean our room. We would be back getting ready to go to dinner and our room was not cleaned yet. I have never been to a hotel that house keeping is not through the hotel by 10am or noon at the latest. If money is no object great, but we got a lot better service for the same price if not less where we stayed in Hawaii and would much rather go there in the future. The staff was really freindly I will give them that, and it is a pretty area. But I would rather spend my money somewhere else.

My daughter loved the Kids Club, went three time and I didn't want to leave. My sister and I had a relaxing few hours at the adult only pool - which is strickly enforced. The food was very good, every thing was clean, the service was great. This is a very good family vacation - my daughter liked it better than Disney.

| We stayed here for a few days over Spring Break. It was a great place. Multiple pools, plenty of activitites, nice grounds. I really liked that the resort wasn't right on the highway. You could bike or walk around the rest of the islands, and it was all residential, low-keyed and not commercial. We had the low-end room, which turned out to be really nice. It was large, had a balcony, a two-room bath with walk-in closet. The staff was always pleasant. You need to plan on eatting and incidental expenses. Dinner at the casual cantina ran us about twice what you'd expect at a similar chain resturant. The sports/activitites fill up so reserve as soon as you know what you want to do.

| We took our family of four to Hawk's Cay in March, 2006 and had a wonderful time. Our boys are ages 4 and 6 and there are numerous activities from swimming, the lagoon, arts and crafts, and sports for them to enjoy. The area has much to offer and the location was prime, in the heart of the keys. We were 60 miles from Key West, 20 miles from Islamorada, and 10 from Marathon. Between what the resort itself offered and what those other areas offered, it was a wonderful place to stay.

| My mother, sister and I had a fantastic time at this resort. We found the hotel amenities, adult pool, the strip of beach surrounding the lagoon (where drinks were served), the gift shop, and the poolside and marina restaurants on the island to be first rate. We enjoyed the mix of families and couples, of all ages, and found the other guests to be kind and friendly but unobtrusive. The hotel staff were upbeat and helpful. The only suprise was the $20 per day fee charged for "incidentals" (towels, etc.) for staying in a villa ($10 a day for an apartment), but otherwise we have nothing but praise for this resort.

| We stayed at the resort the week before Christmas and there were not many people at the resort. The place is beautiful but there is one huge downfall. The resort way over charges for food! Charging $10 for a hamburger and $40 for a buffet breakfast for 2 is ridiculous! Drinks plus tax and gratuity of 15% cost $12 for water and one alcoholic drink! Make sure if you stay at the resort to rent a car and travel into Marathon or uptown is Islamadora and eat and drink out every day. It is a shame a resort of this calaber cannot realize they are turning people away because of the food prices. The room was clean and well kept. The resort was clean also.

| I would definitely recommend this place to stay - it is a very good value compared to what else is out there.. Food was pricy though as most other people are saying here. There is a Publix in Marathon which is a 10 minute drive towards Key West. Rooms have a fridge and we requested a microwave which was free.. this really kept our food costs down. they upgraded us for free to a better room due to our honeymoon with some free champagne which was a nice touch. they have free wireless internet in the library area near the front desk as well.. as I said before - it is a Great Bang for your Buck.

Food was excelent every day,and even room service was at a good rate.Staff and everyone at the place treated you like royality. I am going back next year for sure.

Only downside was we did not have a working phone in our villa but they offerred to switch us to another villa (hurricane had damaged some of the phones) or knock off money from the daily resort fee. We are definately considering going next year and would highly recommend it to others.

| We booked three rooms at the hotel part of Hawk's Cay Resort. The rooms were adequate - nothing special. They did have nice walk-in closets and refrigerators to keep sodas and snacks. Hawk's Cay went cheap with the cable television options -no premium channels like HBO. I guess they want to make money renting you the pay per view movies. The restaurants (we ate in Water's Edge, Porto Cayo and the poolside restaurant) were mostly poor. The food was delivered cold, with no attention to detail and from server's who couldn't care less. Two in our party became ill from the food. The salad bar at Water's Edge is the best bet there. We did enjoy the nachos and sandwiches at the poolside restaurant. Porto Cayo is nothing special for Italian food if you live in an area that has fine options for this cuisine (we do). The adult pool with nearby hammock was a welcome relief from the rowdiness of the kid's pool. Lounge chairs were plentiful and well maintained. We rented one of their 22 foot motor boats from the Marina and that was fantastic. We went snorkeling on a nearby reef and enjoyed a picnic on a remote beach. I would definitely recommend going off property. Next time, we'll probably go a bit more upscale.

Only thing I saw that I didn't like was the bed spread was stained, but the sheets were very clean. The bathroom floor could of used some mopping and the refrigerator on the outside had some food stuck to it. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Didn't eat at the Resorts restaurants on the advice of other reviews. Found a great Bar & Grill in Grassy, Key. The Wreck has great great food, huge portions (Chef salad is enough for 3 days)and good prices. Duck Key is a little over 1 hour drive to Key West.
