| This place was a dump. The staff was so rude. There was mold growing in the air conditioner, and on the walls in the bathroom. The elevator buttons had water in the bottom; hinting that the hotel had been under water. Just don't stay there.

| I would rather stay on the corner in a cardboard box, and that would be a step up from this hotel. This hotel was very dirty and smelled of mold. I would pay a little more to stay in a place with a cleaner reputation.

| The quality of the room and amenities were good. Everything was clean and in working order. The kitchen did not have dish cloths, towels or pot holders. The parking garages were a pain. The bathroom was huge which was nice, as was the washer and dryer. The kids liked the pools

| We stayed in the old section of this hotel. The elevators were very dated,and the halls were dirty. Our "ocean view" was obstructed by construction on another hotel. The lobby was nice and clean as were the pools and new section. However I would not pay the same price to stay in the room we did.

| Hotel was nice, however, room service did not come one day and they seemed to be running short on toliet paper. Had a problem with our key to the room and the lady at the front desk was kind of rude about it...the problem did get fixed though.

| I liked the service and clean building. Everything was in place for a very comfortable stay. I went for bike week and they even set up an area for my trailer and tow vehicle. I will go back for another stay. A good value for the money.

| I had read both good & bad reviews before booking here. The good outweighed the bad, but until our stay, I was not 100% comfortable with my choice. Happily, the place was GREAT! The room was in good condition & clean. Furnishings were beach hotel style. Not gaudy, fairly stylish. The carpet was *NOT* filthy (as I read in one review) though it did not seem perfectly clean. The bathrooms & kitchen were spotless. One bath had a garden tub; the other was smaller w/ a standard tub/shower combo. Beds were comfy. The sofa bed was okay but the mattress was thin. Housekeeping was adequate, but skipped us one day. We were in the room at different times until early afternoon; I thought housekeeping would come while we were gone later, but they did not. Overall, the front desk staff was polite & professional but many did not seem particularly welcoming. None of them did anything wrong, I just did not get a sense of true hospitality from most of them. The pools were great! The kids loved them especially. The lazy river & one pool were heated; the other larger pool was still cold in late May. The lazy river is very small, but was never too crowded & the kids did not seem to mind the size. The pools were clean & well maintained. Each morning the staff power washed the pool deck was; sadly they did not also spray the legs of the chairs in the area. I noticed ashes & smears on the legs of several different chairs. Beach access was via a wooden boardwalk & steps. Overall things were very good!

| We stayed between two different motorcycle events and got a fabulous rate on an oceanfront 2-bedroom. the view was breath taking.This was not a room, it was a huge condo. The only problems were: the living room furniture was dirty and really worn; the coffee maker didn't work; the cleaners forgot towels, the front desk staffs were very ubrupt and curt. The guest services person was fantastic. I would go back in a minute.The water was undrinkable, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel.

| Easy to find, ample parking but small spaces. Desk help overall was good but most were not able to give directions to local attractions. Our room was clean upon arrival but the cleaning staff did only the bare minimum each day. They never vacuumed in 4 days! Convenient to the beach.

| The hotel was in an excellent location. We had an ocean view room for an exceptional price. There were 3 swimming pools, 1 kiddie pool and a hot tub. The hotel staff was very accomodating and friendly. My only complaint is that the beds were really quite hard, and the blankets that they use feel like plastic....literally!! When they say that the room has a kitchen, keep in mind that it is a VERY TINY kitchen, though still functional. Over all we were very satisfied with our stay.

| By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The moment we walked into the hotel, we taken aback by the hostilty of the staff and their unwillingness to help their customers. Also, the hotel was full of thugs. Overall, I really do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

| We stayed in a two bedroom ocean suite which had two full bathrooms. It was perfect for our family of 6. The management staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools were the biggest downfall. The lazy river was indoors the first part of our trip then they removed the glass for 2 days then it became an outdoor, covered lazy river.??? The main outdoor pool was not heated. Luckily the weather was so nice we spent most of our time at the beach.

| we stayed over the first weekend in april and had a blast. the hotel was in great condition, it was still a little chilly in the pool, but it is right on the beach with great views, and you can't beat the price for the oceanfront rooms.

| Everything was great except we were treated very poorly and unfairly by security who said they were called for a noise complaint when we were not in the room. I explained to the security guard that we just returned and if any noise was made, it must have been upon our arrival. I then called to complain I was eventually hung up on by the person I spoke with.

| We went to visit family in January 2006 and this hotel proved better than I had hoped. The price was lower than some so I figured I would be sacrificing something but I wasn't! The staff was fast and friendly. We used the complimentary computer to get a road map and the front desk attendant gave us some local advise. The rooms had a wonderful kitchen, stocked with silverware and dishes. The coffee maker and microwave came in handy most mornings. Beautiful views of the oceans and you could walk right out to the beach for a quick walk in the morning.

| Our room was very nice. We did upgrade to a room in the new tower. There was only two of us and the one bedroom condo room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. The location was very good. There were no problems except one day the maid took our dirty towels, but failed to leave clean ones. We called the desk and they brought some right away. I would definitely stay here again.

| This was an Expedia deal and frankly I picked it based on the amenities and the other reviews. We were not steered in the wrong direction! We stayed in an oceanfront 2-bedroom suite and two sides of the suite opened directly to the ocean. I could cook breakfast and watch the tide come in! The kitchen had a few amenities, but it is far from fully stocked for those expecting lots of gadgets and cookware. Housekeeping seemed to always forget our towels, but once we requested them, the service was fast and friendly. We did come in the off-season, but I'll be back!

| I chose to stay at this hotel by reading their reviews. It was noted a few times prior to my decision for being a great place to take kids. I definately agree with them. I am a single parent and I felt very safe here with my child. The room was big and clean. We had an oceanfront efficiency that was awesome. At night you could walk on the beach and there were some large lights that lit things up just enough to find shells. The pools were very clean, too.

| I am always apprehensive when staying at a hotel in Myrtle Beach. On two previous occasions, I was disappointed in the condition of the hotels at which I stayed. I payed the extra money and stayed in the Tower and was more than satisfied with the condition and quality of the room. Upon arrival, we were sent to a room which had not been cleaned. Housekeeping was called and had the room completely cleaned within 45 minutes. Even though we were not in an oceanfront view the side view was very good. There were a few minor glitches with Housekeeping but overall a great place to stay.

| I've stayed at this place the last two trips to Myrtle Beach. Consistently, its been fantastic both times. The 2 bedroom suites are amazing, beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home (washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc...). Very clean. The oceanfront views are worth every penny. I'll never consider staying anywhere else!

| It is a nice hotel but there are a few problems. The biggest complaint I had was the hotel is right next to a public beach access so the beach area in front of the hotel was extremely crowded with people. I was also annoyed that smoking was allowed on the beach. When it is wall to wall people smoking should not be allowed. There were a lot of cigarette butts all over the beach. Smokers should clean up after themselves. The elevators were extremely slow. Thankfully my room was on the 4th floor because many times it was just faster to take the stairs. The maid would take the dirty towels but sometimes wouldn't return with clean ones. I had to go down to guest services 3 separate days to get clean towels. The maid also never gave us new soap or ever once changed the sheets on the bed. Other than these problems the hotel was nice. The pool area was clean and my hotel room was clean. I stayed in an ocean view room / suite and this is the floor plan: You walk in the door and the bedroom is to the right. The bedroom has a window which looks out onto the hallway, directly in front of the front door is the bathroom, very roomy, to the left is the kitchen and then a small living room leading out to a very small balcony. When you sit on the sofa you can see the beach but you can't see the beach from any other part of the room except for the balcony. Also the walls are very thin so you can easily hear doors slamming and people talking.

| The single rooms in the old tower where we stayed need renovated. Room was so so. Beds should be replaced. Spend the extra money and stay in the New Towers. Will probably stay there again. Elevators slow. Did not try the Breakfast. Parking garage is across the street, but we got used to that.

| very nice hotel. the rooms were great with a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. i checked in sunday may 8th and checked out may 13th. the 14th was the beginning of biker week so on the 11th they roped off the first floor of the parking garage for bikers only which i thought was wrong. why not make them park on the upper levels or what ever space is open? i paid for my room just like them. one more thing, when the bikers came to town it was loud and noisy...glad i did not come the week of biker week.

| There were lots of positive reviews on this hotel, and it just wasn't that great. The breakfast is a block away which was fine, but the people working there are just RUDE. Paid extra for oceanview suite, and it was barely a view, you had to go to the balcony and peek around a corner. Tons of other places to stay, would try them first next time.

| The Carolinian was a great value. The room had all of the comforts of home, which is good for a group or a family. The only problem we had was the amount of construction that was going on around the hotel. But the accomodations are top notch. Book a room in the tower, which is alot newer than the other building. And free high-speed internet.
