I had no real problems with the hotel at all. I was happy with the oceanfront view. However, the couch felt kind of uncomfortable. I felt like I needed a shower after I sat on it.

This is a very low-key place to stay. Almost like an apartment rather than a hotel. The lanai was the best feature since it faces the ocean straight on. Not much of a beach, but nice lawn and recliner chairs. Our unit was well equipped with beach chairs, mats, cooler. If you want romantic and exclusive this is not for you, but if you want casual and comfortable, it works.

We were wowed by the inside of the condo once we got there. I was really surprised that it looked exactly like the photographed I viewed through expedia. Everything was fine because we weren't looking for a luxurious hotel that serviced or waited on use hand and foot. The only thing we disliked were the roaches in the kitchen. This didn't bother use too much since we didn't do a lot of cooking, and there weren't a lot of them-one or two would show up during the evenings. This is a good place to stay if you are not looking for luxury; and planned to spend most of your time out and about in Muai.

The only concern we experienced was cockroaches. Of course this is not totally unexpected in the islands... I did like the quiet, calm peaceful atmosphere of the resort. Would definitely go back and stay there again. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating.

Kahana Reef is nice, very comfortable and clean. The views are beautiful. If you like to swim in the ocean, you will want to travel to another beach in order to swim due to seaweed and coral chunks.

My husband and I were very pleased with the condo and the accomodations. The beach is steps away. The place was clean and well stocked with dishes and whatnot. My only complaint is the laundry room closed at 6:30 pm and we were gone every day until at least 10 (so much to see and do) and the pillows were awful (we went to walmart and bought more!). Other than that, it was a wonderful place with an incredible view. The neighbours were terrific, no noise to speak of (some light traffic) and close to everything. We would stay here again, no question! :o) Eat, drink and be MAUI!

The place was a fully equipped condo. The bed was 2 singles placed together to form a queen bed. The people at the front desk were not the friendliest. If you get buy that, and don't need to get assistance from the office people, it is a nice place to stay with a great rate.

I was very pleased with this condo. I hesitate to give it too good of a review for frear that it will become too popular. It was very comfortable, clean, and offered everything I needed and more, including a very quiet environment, waterfront location, and proximity to some very nice beaches. The only downside to staying in this area was the daily west bound "rush hour" traffic, especially in the Lahaina area.

If you want Ocen Front view then this is the best location. Rooms are fine except there is no AC which may be unbareable in summer. Overall location was very good and satisfactory. Close to all the good beaches.

These condos are situated on Maui's west shore. They are placed about as close to the ocean as you can get. Clean and comfortable units, each with a lani overlooking the ocean and most with tables outside so you can dine with wonderful views. They have barbeques that guests can use and a pool by the ocean. Prime sunset and whale activity viewing area too. Guess that's why I keep going back :)

This oceanfront [not beach front] condo has great views of Lahaina & Molokai and is clean and quiet, a short walk from gas/food/minor shopping and a short drive to nice beaches & Lahaina Town. Not luxurious but very comfortable and a nice layout. Would have preferred heated pool not unheated in December but warm ocean beaches just a short distance away.

Loved every minute of it. Listened to the ocean 24/7. Cooked steaks on their gas grille. Watched whales from our lanai as well as sunsets every night. A swimming beach was close by. Room was very adequate & well furnished. Staff was helpful. Close to everything we needed.

the kahana reef is a wonderful condo in west maui. slept in the living room to be serenaded by the crashing waves 20 feet away. kahana reef is a great location, close enough to kaanapali, lahaina, napili and kapalua to enjoy all their amenities, restaurants, shopping, ocean activities, but very quiet and peaceful. will definitely return.
