| The Historic French Market Inn offered a quaint setting with an "old town" charm feeling. The courtyard was beautiful with brick walls and fountains and iron patio furnishings. The downside was that if someone was sitting in the courtyard talking and your room was close you could hear everything. All in all it was a great hotel.

| Great location on Decatur Street in the Quarter, cute and quiet but close to all restaurants, bars, etc. Picturesque cobblestone courtyards with tables where you can relax, have a glass of wine, etc. Good value and a cute convenient place to stay. One thing to note is their check-in/out times vary a bit from the norm, at least during Jazzfest. Check-in isn't until 4 pm and check-out is 11 am.

| IF you are looking for sleek and modern -stay away, but if you really love New Orleans, this place is just right. Yes, it is a bit shabby and rundown, but so is most of New Orleans. More than made up for with great price and staff. Room was huge. It was a bit dated, but ample space and comfortable beds, I can overlook ugly wall paper in bathroom. We will be back!

| Make sure you get a room with Elevator access. A couple of the second story rooms have no Elevator and are not as modern as the rest of the hotel. After a full day of site seeing, climbing up stairs is not fun.

| While the facade of this building is indeed from the 19th century, the hotel rooms definitely are not. They are complete with ugly carpet, 70/80s style bathrooms, a TV with all of the amenities such as Nintendo, movies, etc., and beds that are from the same era. Not only are the rooms a major let down, but the hotel also features the world's smallest pool. The pool is a must see for a good laugh. Totalling 3'6" in it's deepest portion, more than two people would feel cramped in this tiny tiny pool. Be sure to get the bellhop to take your luggage as well, since you'll probably not find the room if you venture on your own. I will have to admit the courtyard is quaint and the buildings themselves are nice (minus all of the renovation going on), but overall it really was a major disappointment. Definitely not worth the price at all. Would've been really nice to have known what the buildings were used for at one time as well.

| The staff is dedicated and friendly and worthy of a much nicer hotel. The physical amenities leave a lot to be desired. The doors are flimsy and one hears snoring from adjacent rooms; the windows rattle, toilets leak, and the heating is tenuous - no heat in the first room we were given. The advertised internet connectivity doesn't exist. The cafe, however, is top-notch.

| Though the hotel was conveniently located in the Frech Quarter, the room we received was not up to snuff. We were shown to a room on the first floor, right next to the construction entrance - and construction workers arrive promptly at 6:30am weekdays. The windows, which did not open, faced a brick walled, enclosed alley. I would not recommend this hotel.

| My wife and I found this hotel to be a comfortable place, we went with the expectation that this was an historic inn in an old city. We had in mind, that this would be a similar experience to another trip we had to Paris in the previous year and it was not far from that. The rooms were rather small but still had an "American" king sized bed and full size elevators. Typically when we look for a place to stay, it is more for the night time only, we don't look to spend a lot of time in a room, we target more the atmosphere and service provided. The hotel staff was at all times friendly and helpful and the building was charming despite some contruction for renovations happening at the time. The location was right in the middle of everything, there was no need for a car, not to mention no place to park anyway, a simple cab ride to and from the airport did nicely. Walking distance to anything you might want to do there, historic tours, market, about 100 yds from the Mississippi River, and of course just a couple of blocks from Bourbon St.

| I booked a room with other people and our rooms were buildings and floors away. Toilet problems and cold water showers really made the stay uncomtable. Mandatory phone and safe charges were very high and the staff wasn't very nice. But the funnest part of it all was the pool for one. I never saw anything so small and it made all the guests laugh. Like I said nothing like the pictures.
