Good clean hotel, well situated near the metro station. It would be absolutely perfect for business trips if the Wi-Fi connection to the Internet was available in room and not only in lobby of the hotel.

Was very dissapointing, Hotel staff did not know anything about Washington DC. Room s view was dismal. The only positive aspect of hotel was decent location.

With the price and location, I have to say this is my favorite hotel I've been in, in DC. It is very close to the metro, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Highly reccommended!

The Days Inn was perfect for our trip. We didn't rent a car and used the Metro the whole time we were in DC. The Days Inn was conveniently located down the street from the Van Ness/UDC stop on the Red Line, and from there we could get everywhere we wanted to go. It wasn't in the heart of Washington, so it was a peaceful neighborhood for a city. It's kind of a hike from there to American University, so if you're visiting AU, plan for at least a 20-min. walk to the hotel.

The hotel was reasonably price, the hotel was clean and very friendly. They were doing maintance on the hotel rooms, so I assume they are working on the quailty of the hotel (for those who had previous posted about poor maintance). We had no problems with the hotel, the hotel was kept neat and clean. I loved the additional security for the elevators you had to use your key to move the elevator (maybe we don't go to hotels all that often and thats a common feature in elevators). The hotel a few blocks near the metro, that was a added plus to our trip. We would come back again.

The hotel is conveniently located two short blocks from a metro station, and there is an excellent Italian restaurant, Tesoro, just next door for dinner. For breakfast you would have to walk a couple of blocks, as the nearest coffee stop is next to the metro. They also oddly enough do not have DO NOT DISTURB signs in the room, so you can't leave a message for the cleaning staff. However, it is the most convenient hotel if you are visiting American University, very reasonable priced, and clean.

Very nice area. Close to Metro. Adjacent restaurant (Tesoro) was wonderful. Hotel rooms are showing slight signs of age and could use a few cosmetic repairs but was quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. The only suggested improvement would be to serve Continental Breakfast.

I was extremely disappointed with the Connecticut Ave. Days Inn in Wash. D.C. The porcelin around the drain in the bathtub was chipped terribly, and their was a non-skid rubber mat in the tub with mold all along the edge. There was a pipe sticking out under the box springs, and we asked the desk 2 times to move the box springs over to cover the pipe, they never complied. One day when we returned to our room we found the door was not completely closed.

While this hotel does not provide a breakfast, it has everything else a traveller needs. It is only two blocks from the Metro Station and the University of the District of Columbia, which means there are abundant reasonable eating places and coffee shops. A great bargain for the Washington D.C. area.

A clean, attractive hotel located very near a Metro stop (Red Line) which makes access to downtown Washington quite easy. My room had a most comfortable bed and reasonable amenities for the price paid. My only complaint (and not a major one) is the rather tight parking space available in the adjoining garage, which could also have been better-lit.
