| The hotel was nicer than I expected. The elevators were the slowest I have ever seen. The one that worked anyway

| I am not sure this hotel has desinated non-smoking floor. The elevator and 2nd floor hallway smelled terrible (cigaret smoke). Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower curtain did not do its job well. The bathroom floor flooded everytime we had showers. I did not follow the mapquest direction to get to DC area. Instead we traveled on Rt 214 west (left turn on Rt 214 from hotel). It brought us straight to the heart of DC, which was capital hill. It took about 15 min-20 min. DC visit was as great as it should be. Seems all government buildings required time tickets. We got to washington momument on Sat. about 10:30am, all tickets were gone. At capital hill, all persons needed to be present to get tickets. It was impossible to obtain tickets and visit more than 2 government buildings in one day. The walk (2 miles from capital hill to washington momument, and everything else is in-between or beyond) was too much for my kids (3 and 6 yo) even though we brought stroller and bike.
