We booked this hotel weeks in advance and thank goodness we did. Pope Benedict was inaugrated that weekend and there were no reasonably priced rooms to be found. Four Cardinals stayed that weekend. For Europe it was a great value. And the breakfast (included) was quite good.

This hotel worked for us. It caters to tourists, so often the lobby is full of people and baggage. But it is close to the Vatican, restaurants and the metro. It's a little noisy, so if you want elegance, this isn't it. However, our room was clean and neat; the staff was very friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was good with a big selection. It isn't a hotel to spend all day in and has few amenities.

This hotel was conveniently located near the Vatican. It's in the urban area of Rome, so you may not like the city noise. We found a great restaurant nearby, La Florentina with great food and bakery. The walls are thin, noise from bathrooms carry into your room, but the hotel staff was so friendly. If you're looking for luxury, this is not it. But if you want clean and friendly with a decent price-try this hotel.

I liked the size of the room and it had a large bed. The things that irritated me the most is that it is in NO way soundproof. You can clearly hear your neighbors conversation at normal speaking tone. The reason is that the walls are thin and the vent in the bathrooms are connected...and these are big vents. It was kinda uncanny because I actually lifted up the screen and you are within an area with pipes but this area is DIRECTLY connected with your neighbors vent as I could see the light coming up from their bathroom. Furthermore, if you happen to be in the bathroom at the same time as your neighbor you will be privileged to all of the sounds that go along with being in the bathroom...including urination and flatulence.

This hotel clearly is favored by the large tour groups, to avoid them at breakfast just go a little later in the morning. Take the Metro stop: Cipri as it's only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Walking distance to the Vatican and St Peters and every thing else you can get to via the Metro. Room was comfortable, no view but the only reason to look out the window is to check the weather. Shower was small. There's a restaurant in the hotel but we didn't eat there however, we did utilize the bar a few times after an adventurous day in the city. We didn't find many restaurants within walking distance so get recommendations from the staff rather than walking for a mile looking for food like we did at first.

Our hotel was very close to the vatican and the metro station . the staff had at least one person at the front desk who could speak english well at all times. the staff was more than willing to help. we were given a map of points of interest and directions and advice to determine if things were walking distance or taxi distance.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice, the service is fine, the price is ok. What we liked in particular with this hotel is the location. Its near to vaticano and most other attractions, but it is also in an urban area where real romans live, so you find a lot of good and inexpensive restaurants, genuine roman market at Via Andrea Doria, shopping at Via Candidia, and so on.
