Excellent location. Personnel very mannerly. We had a wonderful dinner in The Azure Restaurant in the Lenox. "OUR" Lenox Hotel made our stay in Boston very enjoyable.

The only down side about the room, which was spacious, was that there are noreading lights by the beds. The overhead chandelier does not hack it. We did not eat in the restaurant, or have room service.

The Lenox Hotel Boston is an old but re-furbished hotel with some of the "old days" remaining in its ambiance and service. The exterior architecture is attractive - but not dramatic - while the interior is warm with appropriate decor. The room was small but nicely laid out, clean and comfortably furnished. Street and hallway noise was inperceptable. The only issue I had was that room service did not pick up the dirty breakfast dishes from a room down the hall until late in the evening...However, if I return to visit this area again, I would stay at the Lenox Hotel Boston.

This hotel was too nice for me. I am a poor graduate student, but Ibooked this hotel as a treat for my girlfriend. It was SO nice that I had to put on nicer clothes than I normally wear. I shaved for the first time in months while I was there, just so I wouldn't frighten the other patrons. I got a razor from the front desk. The clerk told me he would give it to me, but only if I promised not to shave my sideburns (which he said were 'radical'). It was a beautiful hotel and a lovely experience.

We have stayed in a variety of hotels in this class and The Lenox has all the comforts and much less of the bland, chain quality and a rather fun sense of its own history. It's wonderfully located on Boylston a block west of Copley Square and right next to the Boston Public Library. It is thus very convenient for Berklee College of Music and Emerson, among other colleges. The desk people were friendly and warm in a quirky way rather than the rather dried out style of the Sheratons and Hiltons. The free wireless Internet access was nice and worked simply and flawlessly. The room itself was of a nice size and the bed was extremely comfortable - and they didn't advertise it as anything special. One minor gripe: We don't blame hotels when the odd bulb isn't working but our room had four maintenance items - a bad fluorescent tube in a lamp, a semifunctional TV controller, a leak around the bathtub and no shatter-proof glasses in the bathroom - we used the tumblers with the not-so-complimentary bottles of water. Finally, room service after 11 pm is more than usually limited and wasn't very good. But overall, it was a good experience, good enough that we will go back.

This hotel had a good service but the room was not so confortable, too small, no fridge, and noise made my party kids. I cannot recommend for a business trip people for attending many days of conference. On the weekend, young kids were staying so there was much noise made while nights becuase of the thin wall so I was not able to sleep. However, I do recommend to stay during the week days. Never on the weekend.

We have 2 infants that came with us on the trip. The Lenox is not condusive for children. There are three bars downstairs that seem to always be busy. The room walls are very thin so a small child has difficult sleeping. Lastly, there is no acces to the hotel other than up stairs so we either had to pick up our double stroller or get assistance from the bellmen.

Hotel was located in a great spot. Room was horrible. Requested non-smoking, king size bed. Got non-smoking, double bed (which sank in the middle) & was the only double bed we saw on the floor and it was next to the service elevator which made noise every 10 minutes until midnight. Small room and bathroom but very quaint.

Everything was within walking distance. No coffee pot in the room, but there's a Starbuck's across the street. While the closet was extra roomy, there was hardly any bathroom counter space. The bathrobes and Aveda toiletries were nice. The free wireless access is great if you bring your laptop.

My wife and I stayed at the Lenox on a Friday night in route to Maine. It was our first time to Boston and we loved it. The hotel's location is great for out of towners because there are tons of restaurants and shops within close walking distance. The room was very clean and nice and the staff was very helpful. Just about anything in the city is accessible by the T, which has a station less than a block from the hotel.

The Lenox Hotel Boston is a great spot with easy access to area attractions. This is not a hotel that caters to business services though -- we had a challenging time receiving faxes and using the "Business Center" -- a single PC with printer. The accomodations were excellent though -- nice large room with a fireplace! Great casual restaurant, clubby bar, and upscale restaurant all on premises. Excellent access to shopping, the T, Boston Commons, Copley Square, etc. I would stay there again.

I'm writing this review because I found others' comments helpful when picking this hotel. For the price and location of this Hotel, you can't go wrong! This hotel has been host to many celebrities as the pictures prove in the elevator! I used their valet parking and the charge for parking was put right onto my card, when I needed to leave the car was brought right out front, totally recommend this! (from what I understand it's cheaper or equal to parking yourself elsewhere!) I went as a pleasure trip to see the SOX of course and I even walked back to this hotel from Fenway Park!! We could see the CITGO sign from our room. You are so centrally located in Copley Square, close to subway connections and a block away from the Duck Tour boarding area! I opted for the Superior Room with the King bed and it was just the right size. Maid service was excellent and the marble bathrooms are beautiful. Everyone downstairs was helpful and very polite. I can't say enough about the beautiful, clean city of Boston and I recommend topping of your trip with a stay at the Lenox Hotel!

We were so pleased with our decision to stay at The Lenox Hotel. Great history with a touch of high tech...Great combo...We were so impressed with the hotel staff. We had a very nice corner room with the view of the city. The bed was very comfortable and the staff treated us like VIP. We had B/B package and AZURE was excellent. Great martini @ City Bar, too. They even prepared care packages for us since we had an early flight in the morning. We really enjoyed the care packages during our six hours flight that AZURE put together for us. What a life saver.(Thank You....) We will stay here again.

We live in the suburbs and spent a romantic overnight in downtown Boston. We asked for and received a free upgrade to a wonderful corner room with a fireplace. We dined on the premisis at Azure after a drink at the City Lights Bar. Wonderful atmosphere at both places. Best food I've had in ages. No better place to stay to get a flavor of Boston. Much more personable than the much larger luxury hotels nearby.

I have stayed at The Lenox for several years in a row in connection with my participation in the Boston Marathon. It's location right at the finish line is ideal, and it is small enough that one is not overwhelmed by a horde of other runners. It is a luxury hotel, and the service is always excellent. Even at other times of the year, I will stay at The Lenox for its service, the quality of its dining room, and its location in the heart of Boston.

First room assigned was not made and pillows, blankets etc were spread about. Back to checkin. Reassigned same type room. Adequate apologies, but no surprise. Needed to get boarding pass, but could not print from the business center. Asked the front desk in early am and the manager printed it for me. Breakfast of granola and fruit the next day was good, but service was lacking (ie no spoon, etc). Restaurant is not part of the Westin but it is the only place to have breakfast in the hotel. Location is excellent. View of lakeshore desirable.
