| The hotel is right on the major street adjacent to the beach which goes to the downtown area. It is definitely in walking distance to the harbor and has 2 pools to enjoy if you don't like the beach. The inside resteraunt was fine and not too pricey. The hotel had some water leaks which caused the fire alarm system to activate randomly and disturb many peoples sleep. The rooms were clean but looked like they could have used a paint job.

| This hotel was in unbelievably bad condition. Although the view of the ocean was great, the condition of the hotel was unacceptable. We had a non-working toilet for two days, a non-working air conditioner for two days, and a cochroach as a guest in our room too. The tub was not even fit to sit in. Their was rust on the metal in the bathroom and in the refrigerator. We were not give washcloths with out towels. We called for maitance several times with no response. We were awoken at 12:30 pm with people screaming the swimming pool after the pool was supposed to close at 9 or 10.

Prior to me departing to the bahamas I read reviews on this hotel(not good ones)yes the bar is small and yes it may take a while to recieve service at the bar, but keep in mind the amt of money your paying to stay in this hotel. I thought i was going to end up in a dump for a hotel, but that was not the case it was awsome it looks good too!

| Overall I was happy with my stay at The Nassau Palm Resort and Conference Center. The hotel is within walking distance the Nassau and accross the street from the beach. The room was great with an ocean view on 3 sides, the room was very clean and quite comfortable, everything was as described in the hotel description on Expedia. The hotels two swimming pools and jacuzzi were very clean, however there were some late night swimmers that get a little loud, even and 9pm when the pools are supposed to be closed. The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly. The only complaint I would have was when I was checking out, I got a phone bill for $151. I tried using the phone approxiamtely 15 times and only actually got through 6 times, they did not state that I would be charged international rates for calls that did not even connect. IN the end we resolved the matter and the phone bill was reduced to $58 which I thought was fare. Overall I was very happy with my stay and would much reccomment it to anyone looking to visit Nassau, Bahamas.

| At first, I was not going to stay here due to the poor reviews. Then I read some recent, positive, reviews and changed my mind. The hotel was nice for the price. If you plan to spend all your time in your room then you might want to stay somewhere else. If you plan to shop and lay on the beach and only need a clean, safe place to crash at night after partying at the clubs, then this is it!

| If your looking for a good hotel to stay in that's close to the action (nightlife) of down town, dont need the luxeries, dont want to pay for them, stay here. We had a blast in the city, and were happy to be able to retire to a hotel that didnt have a lot of over exagerated drama. It's not so fancy, but in the Bahamas you should be out having fun, not sitting in a luxery hotel, right???

| We booked this hotel because of the great location and low price. It was directly across the street from the beach and was located w/in a few blocks of Nassau's old town area. I was a little anxious of what the actual condition of the hotel would be once we arrived. The outside condition was fairly good. It looked as though the larger of the 2 pools had been redone, and it was in very nice condition. You also had a view of the ocean from the pool areas. The curtains and bedding in the rooms also seemed pretty new and were in a colorful island theme. The carpets defintely needed replacement or, at least, a good cleaning. It also appeared that the shower and floor tile in our bathroom had recently been replaced. Overall, for the price, we felt it was a pretty good deal.

| To begin with, when we first arrived they had missplaced our reservation it took the better part of 1/2 an hour to find it. When they did we had to wait 4 hours to actually get a room. When we finally got to the room it smelled like mildew, the covers had a very unpleasant oder. The carpet NEEDS to be replaced ASAP!! They have only two people to attend the restaurant! We all waited a good 20 minutes to be seated, eventhough there were empty tables. The personnel at the hotel was not hospitable AT ALL. Not once did we notice a smile on any the staff. It seemed like everyone there were being held against their will. And it showed!!!!!!! I will never set foot on that hotel again, and it made me never go back to Nassau...

| The price was right, but the service was awful. If you don't mind that "housekeeping" means making the bed and not even replacing towels, coffee, etc. (even if you remind them nicely...) and you don't mind waiting and waiting for someone to deliver missing items after calling housekeeping just to have them never even show up half of the time, you'll be fine. This is not a hotel you are likely to be pampered at, so if that is the type of vacationer you are - keep shopping around. If you just need a place to sleep between explorations and are on a tight budget, go for it.

Room service is poor. You may like this hotel because of the price just be warned you get what you pay for you are not going to get cheap and nice you will get cheap or nice!

| I stayed at the Nassau Palm Resort in July 2005. First they gave me the keys to a room that was already occupied. They when we got to our room it was filthy. The shower had strands of hair in it, the chair on the balcony was filty (I mean coated with black dirt)and the sheets were not clean. I called for a change in linens, they said they would be right up and no one showed up. There is a beach across the street but it is rocky and I did not see many tourist there.Other than the filt, the hotel is in a convient location. It was easy to catch a cab or bus throughout the island.

| If I were still in college, this would have been the perfect place to stay - few (if any) restrictions about guests, noise, or security (meaning there was none). The teenagers at the hotel during my stay had a blast - partying all night by the pool and leaving garbage everywhere. The room was less than impressive - bring your own sheets and towels if you can. And don't expect any gourmet food or courteous service. It's not there. If you're just looking for a place to crash that's close to the beach, however, then this hotel is fine.

| This hotel is a dump. If you are going to go to the Bahamas, don't waste your money in Nassau. You will not save any money by staying there. The real attractions for the Bahamas, is on Paradise Island. Everything is beautiful once you cross the bridge to paradise island. Nassau is terrible, dirty, and very "unsafe" feeling. A huge tourist trap! Ferries, buses, taxis, and dining will kill you. Go for an all inclusive resort. You will not miss out on anything. Nothing is a bargain down there, so have your wallet out! I don't mind paying top dollar for good food & good service, nothing was worth what you were paying for there. The whole island seemed dirty and watch your money...there are lines of locals waiting to get their hands on it.

| I thought the hotel was newly renovated. The renovations have not begun. The first room they placed us in, was as small as my closet. There was no tub, just a stand-up shower. We shared a balcony with the adjacent room and our blinds didn't close. The carpet and refrigerator were filthy. I called down to the front desk to complain and was advised that another room wouldn't be available until the following day. I then proceeded to go down to the front desk to complain. All of a sudden, a room became available. I go to the Bahamas several times a year and this is the worst hotel I have stayed in.

| I went to this hotel for spring break with some friends. For the cost, I can't argue, but I will warn anyone (who is not a college student) about coming here during spring break. It seemed to be where every spring breaker was staying...which may be what you want (if you are a college student). The hotel was in decent shape, and our room was relatively clean. However, we had no in-room safe, one light was out, and our tub had seen better plumbing days. Service at the hotel was virtually non-existent. While my keys would never work, they were glad to re-swipe them time and time again, but beyond that the front desk was very uninformed, unhelpful, and rude at times. If you are well-informed about your trip to the Bahamas, and if you thrive on adventuring on your own (outside of hotel help), this place will be okay for you. The beach is also spring break central as well, but otherwise the location is great right near downtown, and I never felt unsafe. By the end of the trip, spring-breaker or not, you will probably find that no matter how disgruntled with the 'service' you are, the island is beautiful and well worth it. If you are on a budget and it is not the month of March (spring break central), I would recommend this hotel - otherwise, head over to Paradise Island.

| If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel room and if and when you do, it's not the most quality time, then the Holiday Inn at Junkanoo is just right for you. It was a DECENT hotel in the full sense of the word i.e. tolerable, mediocre... the only thing it had going for it was that it was close to downtown. No need to take cabs everywhere (as would be the case with hotels near Cable Beach or on Paradise Island). Ice machines were broken, the staff was not particularly informed or helpful, and the hotel room was either too hot or too cold, despite the knobs on the air conditioner.

| This hotel is elegant and for the most part, very clean. All employees are very friendly and helpful and try their best to make your stay comfortable. However, we were very dissatisfied with the security of the hotel and with the area of town it is located in. We did not feel safe walking to and from the hotel because of people constantly loitering nearby. We observed people sleeping on nearby park benches and rummaging in trash barrels. We were not given a room key, and told that the door keys did not work because of the recent hurricanes. We were assurred however that this would not be a problem as we would always be able to get someone to come from the front desk to open our door. This proved to be true: we got into our room on two different occasions without proving our ownership of the room. We also had to wait some time outside our door, each time we wished to get in, and once for over 10 minutes, for someone to come open it for us.
