This is our second trip to Kauai at Plantation Hale and we love it. The rooms are spacious and clean, though not overly fancy. The staff is warm and friendly and most eager to help in any way possible. We used the hot tub, the pools, and the barbecue--all were great. The kitchenette facilities and central location to everything make Plantation Hale comfortable for families. We will definitely go back.

Clean and comfortable place that a family could stay. Close to a beach, but the beach isn't family friendly. Good pools and good service. It isn't a four star hotel, but it was nice.

We were bitten up by fleas. My five and fifteen year old were miserable scratching the whole entire time and then the effects from the Benydrl made them tired and sleepy. We tried not to let it interfer with having a good time but it was next to impossible. Even after changing hotel which was another nusence.

About the only thing that this hotel is missing is restaurant and SPA (it has basic pool, nothing fancy) services that comes standard with other pricier hotels... but then again, they are pricier and you get to pay for it one way or another.

This is our second stay at Plantation Hale. We returned because we found the rooms very comfortable and clean. The grounds are very well kept. It is a short walk to the beach and very convenient for shopping. Excellent resturants close by. The staff and management are full of aloha and are always anxious to help in any way. The location is very good for going either direction on the island. It is a great place for a family vacation!

We were very satisfied with the Plantation Hale. Our condo was great...everyone on the staff was very nice. We enjoyed the separate bedroom, kitchen, two TV sets, etc. The location was very convenient...right next to the Marketplace, plenty of free parking. We would not recommend spending the extra $ on a room with an "ocean view," because there really is no ocean view unless you have some good binoculars! We would definitely stay at the Hale again! The price was right! Very satisfied!

The resort is a great value for the price. Close to all activities, walked to the Luau next door, nice beach for strolling after breakfast, pool & jaccuzzi open till 10pm nitely, convenient and clean. Very polite staff. Roaming security guard made us feel safe throughout the complex. Left my laptop in the room with no fear of theft. Parking free and never a problem. Arrival cold towel and bottled water was a welcome treat. After a full day we always returned to a cleaned and restocked suite. Washers .75 dryers .50 and available until 10pm. Tide .50 at front desk. A wonderful time full of memories and unfinished activities yet to be ventured.

The hotel and room was very comfortable, clean and convenient. The full kitchen was great for eating in--it had everything I needed for cooking meals. The room was big and clean with a huge lanai. I would recommend a garden view room over a beach view, because there isn't really a beach view! The beach is close, but not visible. I would not recommend this hotel if you want a swimming beach right outside your door, however, because the beach in front is too rough and rocky to swim. There is the great Coconut Marketplace to walk to with terrific little boutiques for all your souvenirs, and a nice grocery store within walking distance. I would recommend renting a car to get to good sightseeing places as none are close enough to walk to from the hotel. Overall this was a great location--close to shops, restaurants, markets, and the airport; the hotel was nothing special, but still very comfortable.

Spacious units are pleasant, but are starting to show their age. Countertops, cabinets and showers are looking ready for remodel. Air Conditioner was barely adequate. Furnishings are pleasant. Nice staff and well maintained pools and grounds.
