The hotel looked great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and I got a good night's sleep. So why am I complaining? The staff. We were greeted by a desk clerk who couldn't have cared less that we were there. After checking us in, he sent me, AT MIDNIGHT AND IN THE RAIN, to move my car near an outside door without letting me know that a key was required to get in! The morning desk clerk met all of my attempts at friendliness with a stare. When asked for some specific directions, she could tell me, "go straight, turn left, and turn right" but could not give me any street names. Needless to say, following her directions got me pretty lost.

This hotel was not up to the typical standard that I have set a LaQuinta Inns and Suites. The furniture was not that comfortable, the sheets felt a little rough.

This La Quinta is located in a nice section of town- near a very nice shopping center, and in a suburban style business district. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. The staff is gracious, and there's a really good complimentary breakfast bar... the works- even a waffle grille.I would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at this inn several times in the past 3 years. We have been satisfied with the quality and comfort. During the last stay the heater/airconditioner was noisey and the management promptly had it fixed. I would not recommend the 1st floor rooms as the exit door opening and closing at night was a bit noisey.

We checked in late on Sunday night, after flying from Texas. The next morning at 7:00 am, someone was vacuuming in the hall outside of our door. We were very tired and had not planned to get up that early. I later complained at the front desk and was told that they were getting ready for inspections that day. This tells me that management has little regard for the comfort and peace of mind of the guests. Also, I could hear the traffic noise all night, because of the hotels proximity to the freeway.

It is somewhat strenous to find this hotel, since it is a quarter mile away from a main street and up a small road that has openings to several other motels. I did not see a very good sign and would have missed the turn if I had not been following someone from the Raleigh area who knew how to get there. My only real complaint was that there was a small dog in the room next to mine and it barked for about 45 minutes until I called the front desk. About ten minutes later I heard someone talking outside my door to several people who apparently were staying in that room, laughing about the dog. After that visit, the dog only barked several times more. I did not see a "no pets" policy stated, but have not been in many motels without such a policy. I think the dog had been left in the room alone and because there was a large group of teenagers staying there that night, I guess one of them or their chaperones brought the dog. So this may not be a problem for any future visits.

One was that our card key would not work in the back door near our room. We told the front desk who then told us they've been having problems with that door, try the other back door. Well that one didn't work either! Thankfully, each time we had to come in, there was someone nearby within a few minutes to open the door for us. The only other minor problem was in our bathroom there appeared to be a water leak from above, and it was causing a musty smell in the bathroom.Other than that, we had a very spacious room, king sized bed, very clean. And it was located close to malls, restaurants, downtown. We were in town for a wedding, and had no problems navigating around town. It was about 15 minutes from Raleigh airport.

The hotel was a little hard to find at first as it is in the same enclave as two others.Nice place to stay. The complementary breakfast was great, included waffles you make yourself. Unfortunately, only served very early from 6-9 a.m. Plenty of parking with easy access to rooms.
