| Any hotel in the Caribbean must be put into context...hotels there (and in most places) just aren't as nice as their American counterparts. This one is average, at best. This is not the kind of place to stay for an entire vacation unless cost is the primary concern. It's generally clean, the staff is reasonably friendly (but not terribly so by Caribbean standards)and it's just a short walk from the beach. The beds are only passably comfortable and the pillows are about as useful as folded towels. Still, if you're very cost conscious, you could do worse.

| The Comfort Suites at Turks is a pleasant facility located walking distance from the beach and 1/2 mile from Leeward Hwy. Its tropical set up gives you the feeling you are on vacation, even though you might be there for business. The staff is friendly and resourcefull.

| Location was great, and the rate was relatively inexpensive, but this was definitely not luxury...it was "fine." They had only a handful of beach chairs at their beach - first come, first served - so we NEVER got one. They were routinely out of beach towels too, and the place was crawling with ill-behaved, unsupervised children. My only other complaint was the mattress and bedding weren't very comfortable. We spent little time in and around the hotel, so the problems didn't matter that much. It was our first trip to T&C, so we didn't know where to stay. Now we know, and we also know where NOT to stay for a quiet, relaxing week!

| We've stayed at the Comfort Suites twice, once in 2001 and most recently in Nov. 2004. It's across the street from several restaurants, within easy walking distance of the ocean and close to easy shopping for supplies, clothes, snacks, tours, etc. The staff was extremely friendly, always felt safe. My only complaint - the pool isn't heated. Will we go back? Absolutely.
