| A wonderful experience. They sold out of mountain view rooms and upgraded us for free, without even mentioning it. We had a lagoon view, and were about 50 feet from the beach. The room service was wonderful. So, to be honest there was little reason to venture away from the resort. I've already told several friends!!!

| Oh my goodness! This was the nicest place I have ever stayed at. My husband and I spent our Honeymoon here and when we booked it we had decided that it was a little out of our price range but we went ahead and splurged anyway. And boy were we glad we did. The entire resort was beautiful and we were treated so wonderfully by each and every employee. It will be a long time before we can return but someday when we do, it will be spent here.

| JW Marriott Ihilani was a slice of paradise. Our ocean view room had a spectacular view of the lagoon. We could hear the ocean all night by leaving the lanai doors open. The lanai was large enough to accomodate a table, two chairs and a lounge. Our king room was large and comfortable. The staff was very accomodating, especially the front desk crew and concierge. The pool was beautiful, somewhat crowded but we didn't care; we did not use it as the beach was only steps away. We appreciated that there was no charge for use of lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach (it was first come, first served). Rental hut on the beach had reasonable rates and good tips for things like the best times/areas for snorkeling. There was a walk around the four lagoons that was beautiful with the island flowers, plants and birds. Everything was well maintained on the grounds of the entire hotel area - we enjoyed just walking around. Only complaints were having to call room service for ice, though response was generally prompt. Also, some nights we heard the crew cleaning up from events up till about midnight. Hotel was usually quiet from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. during our 7 night stay. We will definitely be returning for another stay at this hotel and recommend it whole heartedly for travelers who want a quiet, relaxing, away-from-it-all vacation. We traveled the whole island and checked out other places - we were so glad we chose the Ihilani Resort.

| Beautiful Lagoon and beautiful hotel. Pool is not that big, so it was a bit crowded. We lounged by the lagoon as it is perfect for swimming and the hotel provides lounge chairs there too. We were happy with the food. I did notice dust, smudges / dings on the wall, and similar items in the common areas of the hotel (halls, public bathrooms, etc). Not like a 5 star in that respect. But otherwise a splendid spot!

| I selected this hotel based on the opinions of others from this site. I could not be more pleased with the level of service and pure beauty of this place. Amazing views, great food (expensive), beautiful rooms, wonderful customer service. We were upgraded to a Deluxe Ocean View and it was perfect. Ice has to be ordered from front desk but it is delivered in minutes. Room service is also quick. Great snorkeling in lagoons. We plan to stay here again.

| The Marriott Ko Olina was a last-minute reservation, and somewhat pricey even for Hawaii; but worth it. I was upgraded to an ocean-view room, and it was wonderful. The grounds are great for walking around, and I loved the hotel's lagoon (with small black tip reef and hammerhead sharks along with local reef fish). I've since then had a chance to compare it to the hotels in the Waikiki Beach area, and I can't wait to get back to Ko Olina!

| Great hotel, friendly staff, great food. Reasonable menu prices for Hawaii. Be very aware of the riptides in the lagoon. DO NOT go past the ropes. No lifeguards. Self parking and internet should be free, but is combined $28 per day. Staff very helpful, and wouldn't accept tips (except for valet parking personnel).

| The Ihalani on Ko'Olina is not just a hotel it's a dream vacation. We took our 2 kids (10yr & 5yr) over the Easter Break and had a great time. The Ihalani is a very service oriented hotel that has a staff that is freindly and helpful. The rooms are big and very luxury. The only thing is that the food is very $$$$. You might want to go to the local town of Kapolei to eat.

| The JW Marriott is by far the best hotel west in Oahu. Our first visit to Hawaii was memorable, mostly to the thanks of our stay at the JW Marriott. The hotel has a tranquil elegance and architectural beauty of a five star resort. Starting with its beautiful Koi pond as you walk through the entryway, to the 17-story skyline glass ceiling above the hotel lobby, the hotel gave us a sense of grandeur every day we stayed. Hotel service was exemplary. The friendly Concierges' are resourceful and very helpful. We stayed in the Garden View Room and was quite roomy. The bathrooms have his/her sinks with your choice of separate shower or bathtub. Our room had a great view of the garden and salt-water pond below. There was a small but decent view of the ocean from our spacious balcony. There are numerous hotel activities to choose from. Every morning guests can enter the salt-water pond and feed the stingrays living in the aquarium. The hotel has your choice of pool or white sand beach cove to swim in. The private beach is by far the best reason to come. Guests are not competing with others for beach property, a problem many Waikiki hotels have. And the hotel is just 10 minutes away from mini malls, movie theaters, and local restaurants. The downside, just about every aspect of the hotel is pricey. The breakfast buffets, and Azul Restaurant was superb, but skyrocketed our room bill. However, given that you get what you pay for, JW Marriott was worth every penny paid.

| We really loved this hotel. From the entry with beautiful koi ponds to the open air stairway to the pool just past the check in desk was breath taking. The ease of access around the hotel, great pool side evening entertainment, and fast service from room service requests it was a great vacation. Our room was just perfect except the bed was a bit hard. This was the best hotel we have run into that is very nice and truely relaxing.

| Although the exterior of the hotel and to some extent the lobby look somewhat old, the rooms are fantastic. The rooms are both spacious and clean. The rooms have a large lanai (patio), and are well appointed with a mini bar, marble entry and bathroom, and a phone that controls lights, air conditioning, alarm, etc.The hotel deliverys the morning paper to your room and free coffee awaits in the lobby area. Bonus for the logoon stocked with hammerhead sharks and stingrays.
