| While the place is located on Pacific Coast Highway, it's not worth what they charge. If the price was lower it would be a good value. Not real clean, parking is difficult, 3 floors with no elevator. It's an older hotel that needs some renovation and a good cleaning.

| Went to San Diego for Spring Break and this place was great! We checked in very late and he got out of bed for us. Family owned business, so it was a very nice atmosphere. Everyone was kind and it was close to the beach. Huge hot tub and I couldnt of asked for anything more. Great breakfast! Dont recommend San Diego but if you have to be there stay here!

| Close to everything you need. Beach front atmosphere without being right on the beach. people friendly when I saw them. Very quiet place to stay at least at this time of year. Told my wife, we'll go back somw day.

| My family enjoyed our stay at the Portofino Beach Inn. Our room was very clean and had all the necessary amenities and even a little bit of an ocean view. We will choose this hotel again.

| The staff was extremely nice, helpful and polite.Breakfast is fair, the Starbucks coffee also average. The beach is just a short walk away and the neighborhood is safe and quiet.Parking at this hotel is very limited and difficult if you're driving a large vehicle. If you're in a room upstairs (the building has 3 levels) be prepared to carry your suitcase up the stairs. Overall good, but not great.

| Nice and quiet. Only complaints, towels are very old, stained, holes. And do a little touch uppain in the rooms. Also better care of tub/shower (stains.)Very quiet, nice people, convient.
