| Abigail's Hotel was more than we hoped for. We'd heard it provided unsurpassed service, but we were still surprised. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and told to relax in the Library while the front desk staff helped a current patron. Once checked in, I almost fell over when the young, petite desk staffer offered to carry my husband's large bag up to our room for him. (Of course, he wouldn't dare allow her!) Once in the room, we were greeted with a welcome note, fresh oatmeal cookies, and a printed out forecast for the next day's temps and weather conditions! We felt well-rested and very pampered by the time we left two days later. If you love charming inns with personal service, this is the place for you!

| We arrived shortly after midnight on a cold November morn. When we were led to our room by Mary, our concierge, we were struck by the elegant and understated decor. There were cookies and a handwritten note awaiting us by a fireplace. The marble bathroom housed a jacuzzi, and there were two luxurious robes hanging by the door. In the mornings, we were greeted with coffee in the library prior to our gourmet breakfast in the warm dining room. Each morning of our 3-day stay, there was a different choice of sweet or savory main dish (ie: pumpkin-cinnamon buttermilk pancakes or roasted red pepper-havarti cheese omelet) with a choice of juices and treats from the bread basket (ie: sundried tomato and cheese scones or pear and hazelnut coffee cake). The hotel was within walking distance of the downtown area and the Inner Harbor. There was only one thing missing from our room--a television; however, this allowed us to reminisce by the fireplace. The service was outstanding, and we were helped or pampered at every turn. It was a memorable trip for so many reasons, and we highly recommend Abigail's to any couple seeking a warm, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy each other's company in a beautiful city!
