| The staff is very helpful. They were eager to answer questions and knew the area very well. The lobby has lots of couches and great natural lighting. The location coudn't be better. The hotel's only shortcoming is that the rooms are very basic (no refrigerator, not much seating). We paid half price and I was very satisfied. Had we paid full I would have been a little disappointed.

| The hotel was old and things like mirrors and windows were not very clean. There were many children at the hotel this particular weekend and they were left to run amok in the hotel lobby with little parent supervision nor hotel personnel intervention. The pool was crowded with children throwing balls over the pool again, with no parental supervision. This is not what I would have expected from a high end hotel like the Omni.

| The Omni is connected to everything a travler could want. The hotel, shops, bakeries, and restuarants are all under one roof. (Fall 2005, a full service gym is opening which will also be connected.) Very convenient!

| I have no doubt that this hotel was a near luxury stay at one time. However, that was many years ago. The hotel is falling apart. The vestages of it's granduer could be seen through the fading quality of the furnishings, but the hotel in my view has a two star category. The quality of the front desk service is still up there in the four to five star area. I would not recommend the stay to anyone that thinks they are going into a luxury hotel.

| the service was excellent. My husband and i did a lot of shopping and not once did i take a bag out of the car. Room service was always on quick although the hotel was packed. We did use the driving service they offered at the hotel. Our driver was excellent and was always there at the requested time. the only complaint is that using the driver had "hidden" charges. make sure you know what you will be charged for your entire stay! our flight did not leave until 7 pm and check out time was at 12. The hotel gladly extended our stay....free of charge!!! i would definely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Charlotte area. THis hotel is also walking distance to all the eatery and shops downtown!!!
