This "hotel" was nothing more than a run down motel, with broken pavement, walls, and old beds and linens. I really don't see how Expedia could have associated themselves with this place.

Stayed on a Sat. night. Had a few issues checking in. (They gave me the wrong room and made me move all my stuff to the other side of the hotel.) The staff was polite and apologetic, but they were kind of clueless. The rooms are starting to show some wear. There was some mold on the bathroom ceiling. But the tub and surround were clean. Enjoyed the hot-tub after a long day of skiing. It was very relaxing. Walking distance to the gondola and casinos was a great bonus -- as were the donuts, coffee, oranges and apples for breakfast. Would stay again if the price was right.

Check your room before you unpack and get settled in. The heater in our room didn't cycle - it was either blazing hot or cold. There was no weather stripping at the bottom of the door so there was about a 1/2" gap to let the cold in. There was a hole in the wall above the heater where it appeared as though it was cut too big for the installation and never patched up so cold came thru there also. The bed was exceptionally firm. On the upside, it was convenient to town and the 6 person hot tub was kept clean, hot, and filled, which is a definite plus when you are skiing. The fridge and microwave were a nice addition that most places don't have. We did bring up a few issues to management at check out and they immediately took the room off market until those items could be addressed. Staff was very friendly and had I addressed these issues to them at the beginning of my stay, I am sure that they would have moved us to a different room. We were already unpacked and settled after a long day and nothing was so bad that we couldn't live with it for a few days.

My brother and I stayed here for a week in Febriary to ski. The location is excellent. Walking distance to the Heavenly Gondola. The hot tub was very nice after a day on the slopes. The continental breakfast was doughnuts, tea, orange juice and coffee. Nothing amazing but great for free. Overall this place is great value.

This hotel has everything you need. Loved having the free Donuts, Coffee, Juice, and Fruit every morning. The room also has a microwave and a fridge. Great to keep snacks. I was pleased to find Bath and Bodyworks soaps, shampoo, and lotion! the staff is very helpful. I would definitely stay there again. So close to the Casinos nice to wind down an active day in Tahoe having a little fun. The bathroom need to be updated but other than that it's perfect!

Five minutes to the casino's, five minutes to the lake, quiet street, clean facilities, what more can you ask for? Rates were reasonable considering it was Labor Day weekend. My wife and I are definately coming back to BlueLake in the future. This hotel was the biggest bang-for-the-buck by far. Service was first class.

Very nice place to stay and affordable. It was well located between Heavenly Gondola and the private beach which the hotel provided a pass for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had all the ammenties plus continental breakfast was offered. Staff was very accomodating when we decided to stay an additional night without a reservation. I would definetly consider staying there again should I visit South Lake Tahoe in the future.

Nice to have fruit and coffee in the morning. Pool and hot tub area well maintained. I will definitly return.

Room was very clean. The staff was helpful. It had a refrigerator and microwave in the room, which was great. The location is very good, and the breakfast was good. It was quiet. But the bed was not leveled which was very uncomfortable. The water from the sink and tub did not drain well. They only provided one soap, so we had to move it between the sink and bathtub as needed. Ok for the price...

I stayed with my family in March. The location can't be beat as it is across the street from the Heavenly gondola. However, the hotel condition is worn down - i.e. shower drain didn't work to well, paint peeling, etc. It was nice to have a microwave and a mini fridge in the room. The pool was heated and jacuzzi spa was great! The AM breakfast of donuts and coffee was a nice touch.

I stayed here in February with the walkways and parking lot covered in ice. While we were there never put any sand down. My friend slipped and fell on the concrete. I'd rather be skiing than nursing a spill I took walking down the stairs.

Great deal for the money. I have to admit I was expecting something like indoor camping for what I paid here. I was very pleasantly surprised. The room, while dated, was clean and their staff was pleasant and easy to deal with. The location was perfect, a block away from the busy, "noisy" highway 50. Easy 1 block walk Heavenly Gondola. 5 minute walk to Casino's.Would definitely stay here again.
