| From the pictures, the Sheraton Waikiki looked extremely nice, and I was not disappointed when I arrived. The staff were all very kind. They gave my family and I a lei when we checked in. Although the rooms are very nice, they were planning for renovations. A model room was set up in the lobby and it looks beautiful and relaxing. I had a city view room, so the view wasn't spectacular, but I could see the beach off to the corner if I looked hard enough. I would definitely stay here if I go back to Oahu. The cleaning staff are also very nice. Instead of cleaning around my items like in most hotels, they actually organized my things. For example, in the bathroom, I generally leave my hairbrush, etc lying around; they organized it so that I would have a lot of counter space when I returned to the room. Highly recommended!

| We had an oceanfront room reserved and that is what we got but the decor was about 20 years old. We didn't complain until the water was turned off on the 2nd morning and the hallway had a horible trash smell. Upon registering a complaint, the manager moved us up to another oceanfront room. Although the room view was the same (which was great), the room itself was no comparison. It was newly remodeled with water and no more smells. The hotel amenities were convenient and nice but not outstanding.

| This hotel was a great place to relax and enjoy Waikiki attractions. I wouldn't rent a car again only because we were able to walk every where, and if there somewhere to go then you had the bus or the hotel offered shuttles everywhere.... They only thing that was uncomfortable in the room were the pillows so if you have to have that certain kind of pillow please take your own! But a great place with lots of great dining places around....go to DUKES! it was great! Would stay here again!

| Great hotel for location and the service staff (couldn't be better.) Within walking distance of all of the stores you could want, and the ocean is right there out the back enterance. Only two flaws: extremely limited TV service, and no obvious signs upon exiting the elevators, to find your rooms. Apart from that, perfect!

| Our "city view" room was dated, worn and filthy. Some of the problems include: dirty rug, old matresses, wood peeling from the old dresser, no fan in bathroom, discolored tile and cracked tub. I heard the industrial toilets flush all night long. A roach and ants led me to the manager. We were moved to a different hotel next door at the Sheraton's expense.

| We stayed here 4 years ago and the hotel rooms and hallways are showing a bit of wear. Really nice views from the balcony and wonderful access to the beach. Room was comfortable but not fancy. This hotel has very noisy plumbing and noticable flushing sounds which could bother some. Some rooms seem to be closer to the noisy plumbing than others.

| Only advantage is that it has beaches to the sides of it. Hard beds, peeling walls and ceilings, and carpets, remote didn't work (didn't try to watch too much tv) cold food, $15.00 a day for slow valet. Very little if any Hawaiian spirit, other than it's in Hawaii. Much nicer hotels and spirit on the beach for a lot less.

| We stayed in the hotel over Christmas. We were worried that the kids would miss being at home with all the holiday traditions. I mentioned to the staff in the gift shop, that I wanted to find Christmas decorations for the kids to decorate our hotel room. Not only did they loan us a tree with all the decorations, they sent a gift basket to our room wishing us a Merry Christmas!!! This made our trip with the kids very special & memorable.

| The family spent a week at the Sheraton Waikiki - We had a breathtaking view of the ocean from our lanai. We will never stay anywhere else - it was the most comfortable stay we have ever had. The employees of the hotel are just fabulous - they made us feel as though we were the only people staying there.

| I have been to Hawaii six times, and the Sheraton Waikiki has to be the worst overall hotel I have stayed at. Excellent location but loud and outdated rooms, average service, and average amenities make the Sheraton Waikiki a poor choice for a family vacation.

| The quality and the price are not matched. I should expect better quality of room and service. I requested the one-king size bed room upon check-in but I got the room with the bed combined by two single beds. I had to change room the following day. When we were on the bed, we could feel the springs of the bed. That's why I'd like to choose others next time.

| I was very happy with the quality of service and amenities at this hotel. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room (upgraded by the hotel on arrival) was outstanding with a breathtaking view of Waikiki beach and Diamond Head. The in hotel restaurant, Ocean Terrace, served well prepared, generous portions as well as having an excellent buffet breakfast. Wait service was friendly and prompt and the prices were not outrageous. I would recommend the Sheraton Waikiki to anyone that is staying in Honolulu, and plan to go back myself!

| The room where we stayed didn't do a good job of keeping out, or minimizing noise (from the hallways, the adjoining rooms or the plumbing fixtures). It could be just our room, or it could be the age of the building. This tended to overshadow the pleasant aspects of the resort facilities, as well as the friendly and efficient service. We've been vacationing in Hawaii (Oahu and all the neighbor islands) for years, but this is our first stay in the Sheraton Waikiki. I expected more from a hotel in such a great location.

| In great location. Service is normal. The rooms are very old. Carpets ripped and pulled out along the door and front of the bathroom, some areas, nails exposed. Soap holder in shower stall broken so the water leaks to other side of the wall. If you don't care for these, good location to shopping and restaurants are great

| The hotel room was more than I had expected. I was not expecting an ocean view at all. We had a partial ocean view which was very nice and beautiful sunsets. The bed was so comfortable that I wanted to come home and change out my bed. We slept like babies. The Sand Bar out by the pool was great and everyone very friendly including the pool persons.

| Would go back in a heartbeat!! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Our room was a partial ocean view and couldn't have been better. we overlooked the hotels/beaches between our hotel and Diamond head. What a view!!!! The hotel beach was a little too small, but we survived on what was there. our only complaint - the buffet meals were just too overpriced. Breakfast for 4 was $20.00 each, making it $95.00 for Breakfast with tip!!! Holy cow! Dinner buffet $35.00 each??? But....we found other places close by to accomodate our needs, our price. The location of the hotel is such a plus, we were willing to explore other food possibilities and loved the journey while exploring!!! All in all - one of the best vacation experiences ever!

| My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary July 9 - July 15 2005. When we arrived they surprised us with an upgrade to a one-bedroom suite on the oceanfront instead of the ocean front escape room that we originally booked. We were treated with a complimentary bottle of campaign and when we got back to our room every evening the bed was turned down and orchid petals were spread on the pillow. The lanai off of the living room face Diamond Head and the lanai off of the bedroom overlooked the main pool. We enjoyed the nightly poolside entertainment and evening walks on Waikiki beach. They made our stay very memorable. We are hoping to stay there again to celebrate our retirement in two years. I would have enjoyed the stay even without the room upgrade. They have a very friendly Hawaiian atmosphere.

| Our week in Hawaii was a great one. We definately were happy to be on the beach and the ocean view incredible. Only comment on the room was that there was no table and chairs only bed and nightstand. But there were 2 chairs on the small patio. Also, when we arrived there was standing water in the bathtub, but they responded immediately and it was taken care of and they gave a $15.00 food coupon for the inconvenience. Dinner at the HanoHano room was good (expensive but nice view) and breakfast buffet at Ocean Terrace overpriced (19.95), a better and cheaper breakfast buffet was down the street at the Outrigger's Shorebird resturant.

| Like those of you reading this review, I to reviewed previous guest comments. It was through those comments that I made my decision to stay at this hotel. The hotel was quiet nice, the beach was right outside the hotel. There are plenty places to eat within the hotel and walking distance. I made use of the fitness center, the business center, and the guest information desk. My room was nice and the view was great. Make sure you ask for an upgrade you never know, I did and it was a nice free perk!! I would recommend this hotel to those who plan on traveling there soon. All of the Sheraton Hotel's in Waikiki were nice.

| We are family with three young children (15 months, 3 and 5 years old), so the location on the beach and the proximity to all the attractions of Waikiki made this a great place to stay. The hotel facilities and service staff were excellent. The room we stayed in was outdated, the hotel staff informed us that the are beginning a three year process to update and remodel all the rooms of the hotel. I can't wait to get back when they are done.

| Our stay in an ocean front room was great. My only complaint is the thin walls! You could hear complete conversations next door! When on the balcony, it was less-than private, and if our drapes were open, our neighbors could look right in. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful stay, and we really enjoyed the nightly shows by the pool, at sunset, with the tiki torches flaming, and Diamond Head in the distance. Pina Colada in hand, with the one I love, it was heaven!!!!
