| I absolutely loved the all-inclusive hotel, the room, the staff, the food, the rest and relaxion! Rooms were very clean and we had an amazing view eventhough it was considered a "resort view". Food was great, and drinks were a-plenty. Staff was very nice and proud of their country. Beach was nice and pools were everywhere and were also very clean. Lots to do, good shows, and Dunn's River waterfalls which is about 8 mins. away is a must see. Residents of Jamaica are a very lively bunch and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting their country! There are only 4 things that I could find wrong: 1)The bus ride from MoBay Airport--VERY,VERY LONG 2)The cups at the buffet meals for unlimited soft drinks were about the size of a shot glass 3)The beach was nice but you can only go out about 4 feet until you reach the buoys, because boats, jet skis, and even a cruise ship were floating and zipping around just slightly further out. 4)The elevator at the hotel is horrible--the wait is long because sometimes you have to pass on 2-3 elevators because they're filled to the max with people. Other than that everything was grand!!!!!!

| After reading several reviews from others who had visited SJG, I had mixed feelings about staying there but we just got back and found that the hotel was GREAT! After traveling 2.5 hours to get there (urghh), we were greeted with drinks while waiting to check in. The beautiful, open lobby was spectacular. The room was nice, but nothing to write home about. We spent most of our time lounging by the many pools. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and made you feel like you were in paradise. The beach was just steps away from the pools should you chose to lay out there. There was lots to eat and drink. Never got tired of the food and didn't have a problem making reservations at the 3 restaurants...although you were only able to eat at each restaurant once which was a bit of a disappointment. I can understand why some people said they had problems with the staff...although I think it is just the Jamaican way..to be layed back and relaxed about things. There is a reason why they say No Problem, Mon!

| The improvements are great. There are more swimming areas and the north beach grill is great. The cabanas, lounge chairs were plentiful. My only complaint was service in the main restaurant was slow. Only certain servers had a problem of getting your drinks and coffee to you. Overall the staff was great. I traveled with two young adults who enjoyed the events, parties and socialization. Great time was had by all.

| Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The food was absolutely above par, the grills were excellent, and all of the bars served excellent drinks! All three of the specialty restaurants require reservations, and they fill up quickly, but they are well worth the time. Each of them include 6 course meals and beautiful presentation of the food. The only area for improvement was the lack of available elevators for the south tower. There are only 3 for 15 floors, and none of them are air-conditioned, so it can become very stuffy quickly. Find the nearest stairs and you're all set.

| The hotel was okay. The buffet was good except for lunch. They could have had a better selection. I booked 2 rooms and they separated us into to separate towers until we complained enough for them to put us together. Especially since we were only there for 3 days. Our room was not cleaned one of the days and we called housekeeping a couple of times. Yet it still wasn't cleaned. Now my friend has a rash that may have come from the sheets not being clean. We are still awaitng the results from the doctor. The hotel itself was not bad. The pools and the private beach were great.

The service at the hotel is great - the staff is so friendly and are always on top of things. The facilities are beautiful. Everything is open air and very clean. The pools are very well maintained, as is the beach. The food was always fresh, even at the buffets. Overall, we had a great experience, and for the price, I would recommend it to anyone.

| This service in this hotel is impeccible- the staff was very, very accomodating! The hotel could use some work but overall it is in good condition! The food was great- the restaurants and the buffets offered! The only thing that could be improved is the entertainment- it was not very exciting. But, there are plenty of bars to keep you entertained. Like other people say, take your own mug because the drinks are served in small plastic cups but the staff certainly keeps the alcohol flowing! When we went, we met people from all over the world- it was awesome!

| Loved the hotel! Staff was always nice, expecially if you treat them as people and not servants. Politeness from the guest should be expected also. I saw some guest treat the staff as if they were underneath them. Thats wrong! they are doing their job like we have our jobs. We made friends with staff and locals in the town and could not have been treated any better. Everyone one was nice and we had a great time. the cruise ships docking near the hotel was a little annoying and the hustlers on the streets downtown. You have to be careful cause they will overcharge for sourveniors. always bargain with them. They love the American dollar.

| Compared to other resorts I saw while driving to Ocho Rios, I was certainly relieved when we got to Sunset Jamaica Grande. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Great pools with waterfalls. Lots of air conditioned areas. Great staff. It was even in Ocho Rios town center so you could go out and shop during the days (unlike other resorts which are in the middle of nowhere). Everything was perfect...I literally have not a single complaint. The pictures posted on Expedia do the hotel no justice. I've been to other all-inclusives before and the restaurant food and service at Jamaica Grande is great. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation. If you're there on a Tuesday, you'll get to experience the Jamaican Beach Party they have every week...well worth it and great fun!!

| Overall we were happy with the resort. There are 3 restaurants plus the buffet and snack bars. The 3 restaurants are small, and require a reservation. There is a dress code for these restaurants -- no shorts. I couldn't find that published anywhere and had to go into town to buy slacks. Buffet was pretty good, better than I usually expect from a buffet. If you like sun, there is lots of space by the pool. Very hard to find any shade -- they could invest in a few more umbrellas. When you leave the resort, you are not in a "tourist area". We got a taxi outside the gate and found the driver very helpful. Cheaper than the shuttle from the resort to shopping areas. This is a better choice if you wnt to spend most of your time at the resort than if you want to be "off campus".

| The hotel was exactly what we expected for the price we paid. The food, service, drinks and room were very average. The beach was pleasant and protected from the locals. Overall, for a moderately priced resort the experience was worth it.

| This hotel is just what the doctor ordered for my family great time Club Mongoose is great w/Kids loved the club the tiles in their guestrooms was too much a sterile look I just threw their towels on the floor to create a throw rug type of feel and the staff would pick them up everyday Others in their reviews stated staff was rude NOT very friendly stayed in the south tower. Our room had 3 balconies and all of the views were beautiful. A fantasy island feel The lobby has the best views expedia needs a new set a photos for this resort. The food was good at the buffet depending on what ya like. shout out to Jamilicous Cafe...the patties and currygoat/ rice&peas slammin Ginger Lily and SBG were good. I didn't care for La Diva didn't tie into the resort well, too formal None of the speciality restaurants cater to kids make reservations for the restaurants for between 6-8, so if you don't like it you can always go to buffet which closes at 10. The beach wasn't small two sides w/ white sand. Pools were great the bars good. Try an uncle sam frozen drink umm The ride from the airport 3 hours, didn't mind. we tend to forget that everyone does not live like we do So seeing the true side of Jamaica, not just the resort side made me appreciate what my family & I have more I felt BLESSED to have the opportunity to have visited Jamaica and to see up close the reality of the carribean countries. So as they would say "evryting arie mon""yaeh mon""no problem"

| We were extreamy satisified with Sunset Jamaica Grande. The hotel and property are beautiful. The staff is friendly enough, a few bad seeds but then again there were plenty who went above and beyond who made up for them. The food was pretty good, go early thought for breakfeast if you don't want to deal with long lines. My bigest complain would have to be the elevators for the towers. There seemed always to be a long wait and when an elevator finally did come it would be packed to capacity and then you would have to wait for another. Other than that, our stay was very enjoyable and I would highly recomed this resort for a family oriented vacation.

| The lobby was spectacular and the complimentary drinks were great. Other than that, I was not really impressed. The staff were not outgoing and didn't seem to enjoy themselves. There were a few staff members that were rather friendly, but it was few and far between. The rooms were fine. They were spacious and the view was marvelous from the balcony. The beaches were on the bay and you were able to look at the cruise ships docking and departing. The beach front was surprisingly small but the pools were magnificent. Great decor and there were plenty of pools for everyone to enjoy the space. The kids were able to go to their own locations and the adults had plenty of other options. The food was average and the menu varied day to day. They also had vegetarian choices which was a plus. Overall it was a little disappointing, but the trip was still worthwhile due to the tourist attractions that were nearby.

Definitly attend the Tuesday night beach party/dinner; grilled meats and great entertainment. The trip from the airport to the resort was 2 hours. The jerk chicken at the rest stop was the best ! The North Tower casino is now open. The water slides are several monthes a way. Monday night is SJG night at Jimmy Buffets's Bar in Ocho Rios; free bus. Bar service was fast with Red Stripe and Red Stripe Light on tap. The best drink; a hummingbird. They have pool tables and air hockey tables for the kids along with free use of water bikes and kayaks. Also have 2 large water trampolines in the bay.
