| The hotel was just average; not what I expected. The room was clean and comfortable but I didn't like having to go upstairs every time I had to use the restroom. This was not convenient. Another thing was that the ceiling upstairs over the bedroom was so low in certain areas that you had to bend over to move around. Also, the jets in the tub were not functional and the tub would not hold water. Thank goodness I was only staying for one night.

| This hotel was fabulous. It is located in midtown near piedmont park and atlantic station. While this hotel is not a skyscraper it was small, quaint, cozy...a hidden jewel. This hotel is one of the best kept secrets in Birmingham. The staff was super friendly, there is a complimentary cocktail hour, and the rooms were super clean. As for parking, there is parking underneath the hotel available for a small cost, which is completely worth it. However, there were lots around the hotel where you could also pay to park. We used the Marta station which is right across the street to get to Turner Field and it made it so nice to avoid the traffic. A Wonderful Hotel

| First the good - location, price, breakfast (much better than ordinary continental breakfast). But outweighed by the bad. My wife called to say that the toilet seemed stopped up. Someone came up and told us, "That's just the way it is", but the next morning it overflowed all over the floor. It took two more calls to get someone up and then they just wiped it up with a towel and never came an mopped or cleaned. Don't bring a car - the small garage is incredibly difficult to maneuver in. Consturction banging began before 7 a.m. Next time I'll stay somewhere else, even if I need to pay more.

| The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal for my trip. Otherwise, the hotel was unremarkable. Parking under the hotel was cramped and potentially dangerous (valet recommended, although our rental car became mysteriously dinged during our stay). Room was comfortable, but not stylish. Cheaper than other area hotels, and likely best for travelers on a budget.

| Hotel is a renovated apartment building; each room is laid out differently (I went through three...vacated one because wireless signal was weak, another because the air conditioner wasn't cooling). Halls and common areas are "tight quarters" (narrow with low cielings); the parking garage below even moreso. Guests could have used a lesson in civility: noisy, smoked in hallways, etc.

| This charming establishment allowed for comfort and fun. The MARTA was easily accessible and there was covered parking at the hotel. We enjoyed the court yard and marvaled that we were staying in a renovated and not abandoned apartment building. The breakfast was good and not your regular hotel breakfast, but it actually had real eggs and homefry potatoes!! A plus no matter how you look at it.

| Parking is a hassle and they charge $12/day. The parking places in the garage are tiny, very challenging to fit a midsize car. Valet is included, but we prefer to come and go without a wait. The small front driveway is very tight and often fills up. The hotel is on a busy oneway street. Complimentary drinks M-Th is nice, but the bartender disappears for long periods of time. Complimentary breakfast is good if you come early. We got a free upgrade to a room with a kitchen. Room service will only turn down the bed upon special request, otherwise it's every 3d day.

| The hotel is old and not the cleaniest I have stayed in. My bathroom had a stale urine odor and I asked that it be cleaned. The next day it still smelled, but not quite as bad. The staff did not bring in replacements for soap or shampoo for the second day. They also did not replace the hand towels. The hotel parking was expensive and the spaces in the basement were very small and hard to get in and out of. I would recommend you try a different hotel when you visit Atlanta.

| Had to change rooms twice. First room was a converted attic. Unique but loud, low ceilings, a leaky tub and only skylight windows that didn't close. Second room was large and comfortable but the bathroom was a wreck. When we finaly settled in, the room was clean, good size and with a kitchenette. The best thing was the location, close everything. They also have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius.

| I was pleasantly surprised with the convenient location of this hotel, and the charm of the old building and courtyard. The staff were incredibly friendly, and they were always very accomodating. The only drawback was the cramped parking garage underneath the building - my compact car was even tricky to park, so I would caution against parking a large SUV or truck there, unless you are particularly brave.

| The Granada isn't for everyone but if you want to stay in a hotel with some personality this is the place for you. The rooms are converted apartments with lots of interesting architectural details even including a personal staircase. It is showing some years on it but it was neat and clean and quite romantic. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway there. If you prefer the typical hotel experience you may want to pick another place to stay but if you want to mix things up a bit reserve a room here.

| The Granada was a perfect location for us on this trip--2 blocks from Orchestra Hall. A reasonable price for a convenient mid-town location. It's a little funky--an older building with some character. It was clean & there were no maintenance issues. The bathroom was a little small. There was some street noise, but no "inside noise" at all. The basement parking was tight, but very convenient. The staff were very helpful in giving directions & restaurant recommendations.

| Overall the hotel was nice. It wass a renovated old building and many of the old components(windows) had not been upgraded, allowing a lot of noise to come in from the outside. This wasn't much of an issue except that in the morning, the garbage truck would come and empty dumpsters. This was loud enough to wake up the whole hotel. The parking was ten dollars a day. This is valet service for no extra charge, but it still seemed a little expensive, since there was a $3 lot up the street. Other than the garbage men, the hotel was nice.

The clean-up service is questionable (didn't get shampoo and soap for 2 days, only at the front desk). My room (on the 1st floor, in the middle of the yard) didn't have a translucent curtain, so people could look into the room. The only positive thing in this hotel was the breakfast.
