We checked in on Friday and left on Sunday. Our stay was very pleasant except for very limited parking in the evening. The hotel hosts banquets and wedding receptions whose attendees take up most of the hotel's parking. The hotel is comfortably furnished and the restaurant is excellent. Hotel is within a few miles of downtown Portland and is far less expensive than Portland lodging.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay and we are repeat guests. The rustic elegance is absolutely charming. The rooms are very comfortable and the tempurpedic beds are a wow! The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous and have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. The restaurant and bar is excellent and a great place to have a meal or cocktail by the fire. The pianist was really good, too. We took our Grandmother there for her birthday breakfast and she loved it!

This hotel was a delight, the beds are terrific (Tempurpedic), the hotel restaurant (Hudson's) is a romantic, comfortable place with great food and a piano player for ambiance. A little expensive, but worth it. The lodge is beautiful. We had noisy neighbors, but it was muffled enough where we were able to skip feeling so jet-lagged the next day! Worth every penny!

The night staff were extremely helpful and hospitable when we arrived. The exterior is very inviting and beautiful. The suite was gorgeous with 2 bedrooms and a large balcony; both beds were Tempupedic mattresses which were very comfortable. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious (try the bread pudding French toast). We enjoyed our visit so much, we wanted to stay the last night of our trip. Everyone must have discovered our secret because there was no availability. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The folks in Oregon are so pleasant and kind- going out of their way to make you feel really welcomed.

I travel to the Portland/Vancouver area many times during the year and have been a guest at many hotels. From my travel experiences in this area the Heathman Lodge is one of the best places to stay. Once I entered the property all staff treated my with the upmost respect. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rustic design gives it a one of a kind experience. The Heathman Lodge is a must stay for any traveler. Once I got home a letter was waiting for me from the Heathman Lodge thanking me for my stay and wanting to know how they can make my next visit a better one.

The hotel was attractive, clean and comfortable. But best of all was the extremely helpful staff at the front desk. The location was easy to find and not very far from downtown Portland, but try to avoid the roads at rush hour! The only downside was the room I received was one of their low end rooms (no balcony, windows overlooked the road etc) but I did get a really good price on it so I can't complain.

I was completely impressed with the Heathman Lodge. The front staff went above and beyond the call of duty (I received so much help from them, and I hadn't even gotten to the concierge yet!), the rooms were huge and the tempur-pedic beds were a big plus. The ambiance was warm and not too much, the hot tub/pool was spacious and parking was great. My sister and I stayed there for a weekend shopping trip and the hotel may have been our best deal yet! Stay here when next in Portland/Vancouver.

The room was big and lovely. The service was above reproach. However, there should have been more sound proofing done to the rooms. You can hear everything. From the showers going on around you, that sounded like waterfall in the walls. Poeple walking above you and all activity going on in the halls. For all the lovely surounding it is too bad I couldn't get a sound night's rest.

If it hadn't been for Expedia I wouldn't have known of it's existance. The beds were wonderful, the rooms very comfortable, with great ammenities. You would never know you were not out in the country.

Besides being a great hotel, with tons of amenities, I really loved the main floor restaurant/bar area. I spent several days in Vancouver visiting my brother, and I even got him to come over for meals, I liked the food so much! Plus, an indoor pool was a plus with the murky Pacific Northwest weather. Nice touches: newspaper waiting at your front door each morning. And the bathroom shower was nicer than mine at home! Overall, a great stay, and whenever I'm in Vancouver, this is where I'm coming.

The staff at the hotel was very friendly and conscientious and there was a constant warm and comfortable ambience to the place that gave it a sense of seclusion. While my first impression of the beds was not too favorable, I ended up getting the best sleep that I have had in a long time. I attribute that to the beds. I plan on visiting the area on a regular basis and will make Heathman Lodge my hotel of choice.

The Heathman is beautiful, it is in an urban area but well off the beaten path. We reserved a king room on expedia, but got two queens. The restaurant in the hotel was terrific, at least one meal was. I ordered a salad and it was not fit for such a nice restaurant, however the waiter comped the meal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the grounds and hotel are nicely appointed and groomed.
