I chose The Inn because it came up as cheapest, but wow, it would have been worth full price. The rooms were large, and the whole hotel feels very much like I'd imagine a bed and breakfast to feel, which is a nice change from most hotels. The staff were all amazingly nice and helpful, and everything was clean and well-stocked. Best part of the hotel? Every day a freshly baked cookie was delivered to the room. It's so ridiculously over the top, but it fit right into the atmosphere of accomodation. I'm never staying anywhere else when I'm in Detroit.

An amazing place, 4--100 year old mansions and 2 carriage houses in midtown Detroit with superbly finsished, unique, gracious and comfortable rooms. All the modern amenities with character. Very accomdating staff, excellent shuttle service to and from downtown. Art, science and other museums wihtin walking distance as well as Wayne State campus. There are stairs to negotiate for some rooms. We got a reduced internet rate but, are looking for reasons to return soon, even at the regular rate. Not much for kids to do at the hotel

On a business trip I found this a great hotel for my needs. Beautiful, large room with lots of workspace and wireless internet throughout the hotel. Great, hearty breakfast in the dining room each morning with lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, cereal, all kinds of foods. Quiet, peaceful.

This hotel is a renovated group of four houses and two carriage houses built in the late 1800's by wealthy businessmen. They have been nicely restored including old photographs of those who lived there. they are right across from wayne state and just behind the art museum. rooms were lovely and comfortable -- complimentary continental [plus] breakfast was fresh. I was there very briefly but felt like I got a tiny view into a long lost part of Detroit's history as well as a quiet, comfortable stay. Note: Ask about elevators if you need one -- I was on third floor without but staff brought my luggage up and down. parking easy and shuttle transportation available to guests for nearby locations.

This hotel was excellent value for money, we will definately visit again. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable and the free breakfast was a bonus. The hotel is in a good location near the Wayne university campus and several museums. There is no restaurant on site but you can order room service from a nearby restaurant or visit several eating places within 10 minutes walk.

I couldn't belive what a quaint hotel this was in the middle of downtown Detroit. The room was clean and well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. I was very sorry that my trip was only overnight. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel provided amenities to assist with working on the road. I would definately stay here again.
