The hotel was very modern and in an absolute great location for seeing Boston. We only have two things we feel are worth consideration of mentioning: 1) There was no bathtub in the room (shower only) and a good soak is always a relaxer; 2) The hotel reasturant was overpriced for the quality of food and service provided...not recommended for dining. I do and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Boston.

We travel a lot, and consequently stay in many hotels. Nine-Zero was the very best hotel we've found in a very long time. The staff is friendly and competent, the rooms exceedingly comfortable, the restaurant top notch, and you can't beat the location. It's about 2 short blocks from the Boston Common and a T station, and is on the Freedom Trail. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was the perfect home base during our week in Boston to see the historical sights, go to the symphony, museums, Fenway Park, a movie, the aquarium and check out colleges. The subway stop was a block away, the Freedom Trail red line was across the street, shopping, restaurants, theaters were within walking distance and the hotel was a peaceful retreat to come back to every night. We enjoyed the spacious room and took advantage of the "pillow menu". It was a great choice for our family.

This hotel is located within walking distance of many of the historic locations in Boston. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We realized when we checked in that they only had us for two nights instead of the three that I booked with Expedia. I gave them a copy of my confirmation and everything was taken care of! No problems. The concierge had terrific restaurant suggestions. The only down side was the inroom bar was VERY overpriced -- so we went out instead.

This hotel was centrally located and absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were very clean and not as small as the website describes. The bar Spire is happening yet not too over crowded. The bed and linens was amazing, couldn't get enough of it. Room service is very expensive and so is the $4 bottle of water - but still cheaper than drinking at a bar.

For a "Boutique" hotel it was very large. I expected a hotel described as "boutique to be small and exclusive. The service was excellent. While the amenities were of the best quality (linens, toiletries) the room was small and a bit cramped. The lobby and entrance were ordinary. The location was ideal for business or tourist travellers. By far, the best thing about the hotel was the services they offered.

Only concern was the lack of a security checker late at night, as we (an everyone else) was free to enter and exit late at night (1 am and later) without someone there to verify that they we were guests of the hotel. Anyone and everyone was allowed to go to the guest elevators at all times without being asked to show a room key.

This hotel is extremely modern in style and in appearance. Definently not old style Boston. The service was impeccable almost over the top. The concierge was able to do just about anything you wanted, which was very helpful. Walking distance from everything. The 'red line' (on the freedom trail) was literally on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. The only place we could not walk was fenway park (a mere 5 minute ride on the "T") and the subway stop was less than a block down the street. The best part was that Bean Town pub is right next door..... It is the only place you can have a Sam Adams beer and look over toast Sam Adams grave at the same place... Needless to say the place was "wicked sweet" as they say on saturday night live!!!

The hotel was very modern and had a really comfortable bed and spacious room. the shower leaked and flooded the bathroom but it wasnt too much of a problem. right near a couple subway stops and restaurants - i recommend the Silverton Bar and Grill for some good inexpensive food.

Hotel was amazing. They had a really great service for our dog - they brough him a dog bed, some treats, shampoo, a list of places where we could take him for walks, grooming, and even dog-friendly restaurants, among other stuff. Overall, the service was impeccable and our only mistake was to now check out the restaurant -- it is supposed to be one of the nicer places to dine in Boston. Highly recommended!

The NINE ZERO Hotel has the most comfortable beds of any hotel I have ever stayed in. That will be my best memory of this hotel. The bathrooms were large and spacious. The rooms were of adequate size. The report from fellow travelers was that the water pressure seemed to trickle off in the showers the higher the room was in the hotel. The entire hotel is decorated very modern which makes it stand out among the middle of the road hotel chains across America. All employees that we encountered throughout the stay were extremely nice and very helpful in terms of giving information about Boston attractions. If I were to travel back to Boston I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The place was sligtly contradictory--nice furnishings in the room, but bolted on to a bad structure. The painting in my room reminded me of my dorm in college, the maid service skipped a day until I requested it, the sheets were threadbare and had holes in them, the bar and restaurant were a warm 85 or so. Sounds bad, but the rest was excellent--service people were very helpful, comfortable bed and room, view was superb. One of the bar staff tended to agree, though in a whisper--the place is great, but needs more staff and to catch up with its reputation. All in all, I would go back though, as I think it will catch up. I would recommend it, at least to give it a try

The "Nine Zero" is a great location if you wish to be walking distance to any of these areas: theatre district, Faneuil Hall, Government Center, Downtown Crossing, Public Garden. It's also convenient to the MBTA red, green and blue lines. The hotel itself is new, architecture interesting, very contemporary. We had a post-theatre dinner at "Spire", which is considered to be a hot spot. Decor is interesting, food is creative, prices are steep. We stayed in a room that was a step above their most, economical room. It was spacious enough with good seating, a desk, mini-bar and very nice bath with luxurious, "Mario Russo" bath products. We ordered room service, once, and it was prompt and reasonably-priced.There are only a couple of elevators, so you will likely find yourself waiting for them.If you like "traditional" hotels, this probably isn't for you, but if you like some contemporary and hip, and want to be in a great location, this is an excellent choice.

We got an excellent rate (Expedia rate) when we stayed here the first week of December 2004. The hotel was very hard to find but in a good location - we walked everywhere and felt relatively safe. The front desk was very friendly as was all of the staff. Our bed was uncomfortable but only because it was slightly sunken in the middle - not uncommon for any hotel. Other than that, we would stay here again!!
