| On a Friday night downtown there is a lot of partying going on, so you need to be prepared for that. We were on the 8th floor, and could hear very loud music, cars honking, people screaming until at least 2:45 a.m. Perhaps if we were up higher or facing a different direction the noise level would have been less. But, that is expected with such exciting city life that Austin has to offer - just be prepared to sleep in on Saturday a.m.! Otherwise, the hotel was fantastic, the breakfast buffet was quite substantial, and the 2nd floor veranda and indoor seating was extremely comfy and relaxing. We will definitely stay there again.

| Hampton Inn is so central and was a great find. Close to 6th Ave. the hotel offers a beautiful outdoor balcony to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean. A definate to visit again.

| Very conveniently located downtown just blocks from everything - in any direction - the Metro, the Dillo, Restaurants, Business, Shopping. Excellent service, very friendly, helpful staff. Although the food at the breakfast buffet could have been better, there was a nice veranda to sit outside and eat. The beds were so comfortable and cozy, it was difficult dragging ourselves out of bed in the morning.

| This hotel was perfect for our anniversary getaway. It is centrally located to all of Austin's nightlife and the infamous bats under South Congress bridge. The breakfast in the morning was certainly not gourmet, but it was plentiful, varied, hot, and convenient. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

| To be frank, Austin doesn't excite me, but if you choose or have to go, this is a fine hotel to stay at. My conference was at a more expensive hotel on the river, but it was just a block away. If you're going to be in Austin, you want to be near the River Walk as well as an easy walk into town, and this provides both. Everything was clean and friendly.

| The hotel is 2 blocks from sixth street, it is directly across from P.F. Changs, valet parking in front and a really nice breakfast bar in the morning with hot food, and easy check-in and out.

| Nestled in the downtown area a block from the river walk and surrounded by top notch restraunts I was really impressed. Loved my room service dinner from P. F. Changs that was delivered 20 min. after I placed the order. Wish I had extra evenings so I could explore the warehouse district and some of the clubs. I will go back!

| The experience was very good. We enjoyed having several resturants in such close proximity. Being a few blocks from 6th Street was nice because sometimes the noise gets out of hand down there. The staff were extremely helpful esp. the valet parkers.
