We have stayed at the Treemont House twice now and both stays have just been wonderful! From the moment we arrived to the time we left the service we received was outstanding! The first time we stayed we were departing on a cruise and the convenience was very nice. The second chance we had to stay at the Treemont was just to relax and get away for our anniversary. We will be back!

This hotel was quaint and charming. The room was larger than expected, considering the age of this structure, and the rooftop terrace was great. The staff was friendly, and the service was very good. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel and its surroundings offered enough variety for a short romantic getaway for two, a family outing, or a business affair.

The bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned, particularly the white tiles around the toilet. I reported it when we checked out and the employee at the desk said she would report it, but didn't seem overly concerned. The hotel is pricey for what you get, but it is conveniently located to the cruise terminal.

Great old style hotel with modern convenience. Enjoyed staying in Galveston, even though work meetings required me to travel to Houston every day. Would do this agagin, recognizing the drive is not bad at all

Tremont was fantastic. The only improvement I could suggest would be more tables and less benches on their rooftop terrace.

This was a very nice hotel. I would reccomend it to anyone. The only thing I noted wrong was some maintenance issues in my room. One of the light fixtures looked as if it were about to fall off the wall. The towel rack in the bathroom looked much the same. The room was very clean, with the exception of the bathroom floor, it needed a little TLC. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. Be sure to check out the carved wood bar.

We enjoyed staying at the historic hotel and it was right in the middle of the restored Strand District. Shopping, museums and dining were in walking distance and we had a great stay! The only complaint would be that they had no "snacks" available. Only one vending machine for the whole hotel and it only had Coke products. This was a small detail that could be easily fixed by bringing your own snacks and drinks.

This is an old hotel---that has been modernized---it is very beautiful!!! Rooms are attractive and comfortable. I beleive my confirmation said, "No Smoking" and "King". This had been a smoking room---ashtray and matches in room (but, thankfully no odor). The very comfortable bed was a queen. We were shown suite, just out of curiosity, and that room had a queen bed. We were told by a cleaning lady that all the beds in the hotel were queen. She may have misunderstood us. Did not consult the hotel management. The floor of the bathroom was slightly sticky. The only annoying happening---the water pipes make a clicking noise the intire stay. We had very little hot water on the last morning, and called the desk. They offered to send up a "technician", but we made do with a quick luke warm shower. We needed to check out. I bet you think we would never stay there again---wrong! If we wanted to be in that area of Galveston---I would not hesitate to stay at the Tremont!!

The Tremont House Hotel is unique. It's location in the heart of Galveston's Strand District within walking distance of many great attractions such as the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and the Tall Ship Elissa makes it particularly attractive. Rooms have 14-ft ceilings and give you a feeling of serene quietude whether you are awake or asleep. Individual service of the staff is superior. And the bar is tended by a fine gentleman and raconteur.

The hotel is very well maintained and service was very good. My only concern was leaving our car while we was on cruise. We had to leave the car @ sister hotel The Galvaz and was taken to ship. Very congested at hotel Galvaz upon return. Thank you.
