Location was great. Condition was a little shabby, but renovation/construction was taking place. Not enough staff for check-in (slow), and this was in off-season. A/C was not working, but maintenance arrived promptly when called. Not enough parking. Overall, probably a good value for the low rate.

We were more than impressed with this establishment. We had an oceanfront room with a great view. The room was spotless. When our remote to the tv didn't work, it was fixed ASAP. The breakfast buffet was really good (& I'm usually pretty picky). Because we went late in the season, we thought we'd just use the indoor pool & hot tub, but the outdoor pool was kept at a warm enough temperature to enjoy. Nice little lazy river, wasn't too crowded. I look forward to coming back in-season when the pool bar is open. Only minor complaint was the shower's water pressure & difficulty regulating the water temp. (but that may have just been our room). We'll certainly stay here again.

We highly recommend the Ocean Reef. A little off the "beaten path" (a good thing), and full of amenities. We definitely plan to go back and stay with them. The beds were sooooo comfortable; and if possible, we would have taken the shower (great water pressure) home with us.

The location was great the pools and hot tubs were nice. It had very good access to the beach. The view from the rooms were fantastic. Parking was not bad in a review I had read I expected much worse. Only complant was with housekeeping. The room looked clean. But I found an old bottel cap under the night stand and a lot of dust. When the cleaned the room during our stay they did not vacume the room and just pilled the blankets on the floor did not fold them. Did not give us new drinking cups. They wanted to clean the room on checkout day at 09:00 and check out was 11:00. they came back 2 times before 10:00am

This was my first visit to the Ocean reef...and it was awesome!!! The property was nice and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We did stay during the off season period but it made for a quiet, comfortable and relaxing stay. Even though I got a cheaper rate through this site...paying full price would not have been a problem for me. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

There are total of no more than 30 parking space for the entire hotel of at least 250 rooms. We have to on the public street 3 out of 3 nights we stayed there and walked about 2 foot field back to the hotel.

We stayed 3 nights and only once was I able to get a parking spot across the street. All the other nights, we had to park 2 or 3 blocks away. There is no hotel parking around the building. Only 3 of the 4 elevators worked most of the time. They were always too crowded and also wet and slippery as they were next to the pool. The pool smelled way too strong with chlorine, I was choking. The breakfast buffet was not too bad, the only problem we had was too many small kids running around by themselves and making a mess.

Not only did our shower not work, but it took 3 calls to get it fixed. There was mold and rust stains in the bathroom. The restaurant did not have enough servers and there was always a wait for just OK food.

This was our first stay at the Ocean Reef and, OVERALL, we were very pleased with what we found. Sitting on the oceanfront balcony was great, but the view from the room would be improved by iron railings all the way down instead of a wall on the lower part. As it was, we could not lie in bed and see the ocean, which is a big deal for me. The bed was the most comfortable of any hotel bed I've ever slept in. The indoor pool and hot tubs were wonderful. Though the breakfast and lunch menus were good at the hotel restaurant, it would have been nice if they had been open to serve the evening meal. The biggest drawback to the whole experience was the shortage of on-site parking. It was no fun having to park across the street or - at worst -two blocks away. For these reasons, this hotel would not be my first choice on my next trip; but I would stay here again if a hotel with my preferences were not available. I would recommend it to others, but would be sure they were aware of these issues that I've mentioned.

The room was good but, the view of the Atlantic made the trip. The bathroom needed to be renovated. The bathroom vent was over the tub/shower, so cold water dripped on your head while taking a shower. The tile need to resealed in the bathroom. The room's entry door hinge broke off but the door could still be secured with no problems. The plentiful hot tubs ensured everyone could partake in the soothing waters.

I had to go to the front desk and ask for my coffee everyday even though I had a coffee pot in my room. I was in a smoking room but there was no ash tray. The room was okay but the bathroom had rusty spots around tub and sink.
