| The hotel room was nice, but make sure you request a full ocean view room or you might be looking at the parking lot with the ocean beyond that. The bed was very comfortable! Expect to be asleep within five minutes. If you have children, the pool closes early (6pm).

| This was my first visit to Hawaii and it definately won't be my last. I have a blank slate to compare it to as far as evwrything being a first! This hotel was not a let down at all. The beds are their star attraction! The bathroom was a little cramped but clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful in telling you all of the best places to go and even setting things up for you. The luau hosted by the Sheraton had excellent entertainment and the food was great the lighting was a little dim though to see what you were eating. The other star attraction is the manta rays that appear under the hotel's spotlight everynight feeding on the plankton that is attracted by the spotlight. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

| Everything was wonderful. The room was big, clean and comfortable. The only thing I thought was out of line was parking. The five dollar a night parking on top of the price of your room is a little of an insult. If you have to add five dollars on, for one reason or another, just add it to the price of the room.

| The hotel room was large and the pvt. lanai was wonderful. We had a garden view room but saw the ocean, lava coastlin, and mountain! Breathtaking. And it's true about the Sheraton sweet sleeper beds. I own a Tempurpedic and the sweet sleeper was comparable. The pool was great and never crowded. The Manta Ray viewing was awsome and also a beautiful setting also. The spa was too pricey for not being able to spend the day there. But Harmony gave a fantastic massage. She was great and made me feel comfortable. My friend also loved her massues. The Sheraton was one of the nicest and largest resort we visited and were glad we chose it.

| We have stayed at Sheratons in Asia, pretty much everywhere around, and were expecting something similar. Well, the facilities were, but the service, ooohhhh the service wasnt. People were rude, to say the least. When trying to get a waiters attention, we were threatened to be kicked out by the bar tender. When it was raining and cold, and the only shelter was the stool at the bar, my two year old child was asked to be removed because its against the law (and the robot we had for a bar tender did not think that there was no risk of a patrol passing by or my two year old getting drunk on the spot). We found ourselves treated like children the entire time. "you are not supposed to do this", "you are not supposed to..." fill in the blank. The restaurant closes at 9:30, the bar will close whether you are interested in staying longer or not, at the time advertised... and so will the restaurant. The entire place is programmed to have you spend your money, and as long as you have been drained of it... well, thats it!!!

| The hotel itself was very nice and all but the concierge service were cheerful and helpful, but the special concierge service was nothing at all but a sales office for extra trips on the island. When you had questions about your airline or other islands, they wouldn't help you but told you to call them yourself.

| This hotel is convenient to the airport and easy to locate. The staff was very friendly and the hotel itself is simply beautiful. I enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and the tube slide was fun, but best of all was the fabulously comfortable bed!

| We tried to check in at 2pm but our room was not ready. Did not appear that they had adequate staffing as the hotel was completely booked for the weekend. When we checked in we were greeted with ants in the bathroom and a sliding glass door that was off its track to the lanai. We did get someone from maitenence to fix it within 1 hr. The pool is fine for kids but no adult area. The deepest part of the pool was only 3 1/2 feet deep. The beds were very comfortable but small (2 doubles in our room). No elevator in our section of the hotel. Not very close to anything except a local shopping mall with a good Thai and Mexican restraunt that were relatively inexpensive. Money would be better spent elsewhere in my opinion.

| The location of the hotel was great because most major attractions were conveninetly located. I stayed in Kohala before, and the drive from there to the town took forever. The pool was very nice and overlooked the ocean, but there was no beach; if that's important, this isn't the hotel for you. The room was large, clean, with amazingly comfortable beds. Overall, this place wasn't five stars, but I would recommend it, especially if the price is right.

| The Sheraton Keauhou Bay hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The grounds are beautiful with fantastic views of the bay and ocean. Our room was technically Ocean View and had a great view of the bay, which in many ways is better than looking at the open ocean. Be aware that you cannot swim in the ocean there because the shore line there is not really a beach. The two tier pool is wonderful. There is great snorkeling just a short drive away. The hotel has a great location, just about a 15 minute drive.

The food at the resturants was fine, but not great. The waiters and waitress gave very friendly service. The hotels stores were handy and staffed with again very helpful and friendly people.

| We stayed there 3 nights but wished we had stayed more when we left. The hotel was part of air+hotel+car package from Expedia. The room that we got was supposed to be garden view but we were lucky to have some partial view of the ocean. The service (including concierge) was great and the facility seemed pretty new. Keahou bay, Keahou shopping center and nice beaches are short drive away. The only small downside is that there is no direct access to white sand beach. Also, there's not much to do at night but I guess that's true with almost all the hotels in the Big Island.

| We stayed here only because we needed a place for one night in the area. We were all very plesantly surprised. From the grandmas to the toddlers (there were 10 of us) we all had a great time. The pool was a lot of fun and we even got everybody to go down the slide! Our "mountain view" room was on the top floor. It had a very nice view of the mountains, but when we walked out the front door, there was a great view of the ocean. It was like an ocean view room without the price. Don't forget to check out the Manta Rays.

| As a Big Island resident, I've been waiting for this resort to reopen. With an event in Kona recently, the opportunity came to experience it and I was so pleased. Sheraton has done a beautiful job restoring a former icon of the Kona Coast back to modern splendor. The staff was great, the pool amazing. The Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed is the best hotel slumber I've had in decades! When the spa and a new lounge open soon, this hotel can go from 4 to 5 stars! In the meantime, the fitness center is well equipped, the dining all that is needed and reasonably priced and I intend to recommend a friend seriously consider the Wedding Center for her summer wedding. Beautiful!

| I was very impressed with the quality & cleanliness of the room. The staffs were very nice. The pool & view were very beautiful. However, since it was just recently opened, not all facilities were available. There is only 1 restaurant (Kai) and it is highly overcharged. Another drawback is that this hotel is pretty far from others areas. You need a car to get around.

| The Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort is 10 minute south of Kona and is centrally located to many sights on the island. Great snorkeling is a 20 minute drive south, beautiful beaches 30 minutes north (also a beach close to the resort), and a grocery store 5 minutes away. The resort is also 2 hours from the volcanos - closer than is you stay in Kona or north of the airport in the luxury hotels. This was a great base for our trips around the island and it was always great to come back to a spacious clean room. The hotel seems like it would also be good for families with a children's pool area and play area. However if you plan on staying mainly on hotel grounds and not venturing around the island, the Hilton and Fairmont Orchid up north will be better able to provide you and the kids more activites. The staff at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort were very accomodating. Overall we enjoyed the Sheraton and would return again in the future.
