| We just got back from spring break. It was awesome. The samba aims to please. They will deliver your drink to you by the pool or on the beach it was great. At the pool one minute down the steps and your on the beach . Very safe if you have children because no one can get on samba property unless they are staying there.Best resort I have ever stayed at.Its not huge which makes it perfect because its never real crowded. Plenty of activities with sergio he always had you doing something(beach volleyball, tequilla volleyball arobics in the pool, crafts manicures, bingo etc...)The maid service is excellent we had a cute towel creature in the room each day they made you smile.Just make sure to use plenty of sunscreen. We saw dolphins in the morning from the pool area out in the ocean. well worth the price. Very clean....

| We stayed here a few months back - the place was great. We just assumed that the food would not be good since it was an all-inclusive, but we were pleasantly surprised that is was good. All the booze they offered was all top shelf. Drink service on the beach was great if you tipped the server a buck or two. This place is a great value for the money. The staff was very friendly. The entertainment was a bit cheesy, but great for a laugh. We liked that the place was nice and small. It made for a more friendly atmosphere.

| The staff at this hotel is overly friendly and accomodating. The pool and grounds are immaculate. The beach is beautiful. The only downfall is the cost to get to downtown Puerto Vallarta ($18 cab ride one way), however, we heard you can catch the bus for $1.50. Don't stay here if you expect nightlife right outside your hotel every night, but definitely stay if you are ok with the 20 minute ride downtown. Great for singles as well as families. Would recommend to anyone!!

| What a nice place to visit. This was our first time at an all inclusive resort and this place is a keeper. We would definitely return. The staff throughout the facility were fantastic - bell hops, bartenders, front desk, maintenance and cleaning - everyone was smiling and truly wanted to make our stay pleasant. The food wasn't bad. While other reviews indicated that it was passable, we found that there were always choices that were better than average. Of course, the food always tastes better with tequila (right?). Beds were a bit hard for my wife but passable.

| We took our kids out of the country for the first time. The Samba was a great experience for us all. It was an affordable trip, but still had many great qualities. The food was good as was the service. The rooms were very nice and the maid service was equally impressive. This is a great resort to take a family with kids. The beach and ocean are excellent. The bottom of the pool needs to be painted, but was cleaned daily. We all left the resort looking forward to next year!!!

| The people there were extremely honest and trustworthy. We were traveling with friends who had children too (ages 5-11) and we never had to worry about the kids running around and being without immediate supervision. We lost a few very expensive items and they were always returned or found by the staff. The food was probably the biggest disappointment, in that it was lacking in true Mexican fare, and it was very buffet style. Even the Italian restaurant and Grille, didn't really know how to prepare Italian food or steaks.

| This was our 2nd visit to the Samba. Both times we took all four of our sons (ages 2 - 10 yrs) and we had a wonderful experience. The Samba was just small enough that we felt comfortable letting the kids play around the resort complex with new friends yet big enough to have all of the amenities to give us a luxury vacation. Because we had been here last year there were several employees that we knew and they felt like old friends. The staff, especially the bartenders and waiters, were wonderful to us and the kids, calling us by name, remembering drinks, and being personally attentive. It was a good feeling. The only real downfall was the mattresses. The were very uncomfortable and because the beds were only a full size they were crowded, too. The flip side was that it was so relaxing out by the pool and on the beach by the palapas that a little snooze did wonders for the lack of nightime sleep. They had the disco going more evenings this year and it was fun for the whole family. We were sad to leave as they have become family to us there.

| I liked the hotel, I liked the employees, I liked the casual atmosphere. However, the drinks seemed watered down, and the nightly entertainment tended to be silly and unsophisticated. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. This was my first all-inclusive experience, so couldn't tell you how it measures up to other all-inclusive places.

It was hard to fall asleep and very hard to sleep0 late. Although I loved the place and relaxed on the beach,I dreaded night and came home tired (not from partying).

| I would recommend this all-inclusive hotel. The rooms were very clean, the only negative was the bed was a bit hard. The drinks were good but the food could have been better if it was kept hotter. We went 12/25/05 and stayed 5 nights and the beach was great. They had chaise lounge chairs and thatched huts for your use. There was no fighting for a spot as alot of vacationers also used the pool area. There were always activities for all especially the kids. All the staff was very helpful and pleasant. It was a very relaxing vacation! We did not do too much other than shopping at Bucerias, a small village close by, and the Margilante Pirate Cruise! Otherwise it was on the beach and just enjoying the sun and the waves.

| We had a really nice tme and were pleased with the hotel and the staff. This is a smaller hotel...must be about 250 rooms or so. The small size allows you to get acquainted with the staff and other guests. Nightly entertainment was enjoyable. Great for families. Not much to see within walking distance unless you are ambitious, but the beach is very nice and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy at the hotel. Catch a but to PV for 15 pesos ($1.50).

| The hotel setting was in the midst of Nuevo Vallarta Hotel District and right at ocean front. Samba Vallarta can best be classified as a 3 star. The best thing about the hotel was the friendly staff and all the exciting activities they run such as volleyball, dance lessons, Spanish classes, crazy games, water polo etc. The landscaping was well kept and so was the building. The major disappointment was food. All three restaurants pretty much served the same menu every day. The quality of food was well below any average restaurant you can find in US. We expected more Mexican cuisine only to find out badly prepared Italian dishes, mediocre western breakfast and repetitive dinner menus.

| The food was good not great but good. I mostly ate outside of the hotel. I was impressed as to how clean every thing was kept. I was impressed by the beaches and how simple every thing seemed to be. The drinks were nicely done "order the Samba special" I spent most of my time on the beach and down town shopping. The rooms were clean but the beds were a little hard. "I might just be a wuss" It's to bad we can't get service like that in the US. I should know I work in a resturant. While I was there the prices for the jet skis were $45.00 US/ 1/2 hour and $35.00 to parasail "If you go north up the beach past the next hotel you might find them still releasing baby sea turtles at sundown." we left before they could ask for any money, if they ask for money. Have a Blast, I did.

| Wonderfully attentive staff!, well manicured grounds, and uncrowded beaches. All our meals offered something that we really enjoyed, the fruits at the salad bar were outstanding, and there were ever changing choices of desserts at every meal. It was very humid during our stay, which resulted in a slight musty odor in our rooms, and what appeared to be the beginning of some mold/mildew on the ceiling in a couple places.

| I just returned from a 6 day stay at Samba from 8/27-9/1 and was pretty satisfied with the resort. I woudl have to say that I've never seen such wonderful service as provided by the Samba staff. As we pulled up to the lobby coming from the airport, the bell boy rushed to open the door for me and quickly bring out bags into the resort. We had arrived at 10am, and were lucky enough to be able to check in and go to our room even though check-in time is in the afternoon. Our room was pleasantly cool and clean. One minor thing I would complain about is a few flies that would sneak into the room. However, my main complaint is the beds - they are sooo hard! They're not comfortable. I found it hard to fall asleep, and woke up in the mornings with a stiff shoulder from sleeping on my side (which I didn't expect since I am only 20). English tv channels are VERY limited (1-2 channels). The food was just ok. It wasn't terrible, but I was happy to go home to regular food again. Lunch at 'The Grill' is pretty average- salad bar, a grill where they can make you chicken wings, hot dogs, and burgers, and a small selection of some hot foods. Dinner was sometimes a little more disappointing. We ate at their italian restaurant twice... all I can say is I dont think they know how to make Italian food very well. Dinner at the Grill is better. They have a good selection and the food is pretty well cooked. Make sure you get coffee flambe every night for dessert!

| Pueblo Bonito has restored a wonderful treasure, designed just for families. From the time when you first arrive until you are ready to leave the resort; you are greeted by smiling hosts that are always trying to go out of their way to make you feel relaxed & comfortable. We took part in many of the activities during the day as well as the evening entertainment, produced & delivered very professionally. Many guests that we met were also overwhelmed by the resort. Several returning guest were experiencing the resort again for the first time. Several couples were going to return with their children. Everything was well maintained & clean. The staff was constantly cleaning. If there was a problem it was corrected or fixed immediately. The suites & the maids that maintained them where fantastic; In lieu of petifours on your pillows the maids would create these beautiful designs out of towels, plants & flowers on your bed & in the restrooms. Each afternoon you would enter your room to find a different creation. The restaurants offered many varieties of food. Some improvement needed in the Italian Restaurant. The breakfast, lunch buffet & poolside grill offers an excellent variety that everyone was satisfied with. The Mexican Restaurant pool side offered the best sit down menu & atmosphere. We did leave the resort on three occasions, but we enjoyed ourselves more in the comfort of the resort and all it has to offer. Thank You Samba Vallarta for such a memorable vacation.

Don't go expecting to get Corona Beer though. Very few places in Puerto Vallarta sell it. However, they do have Sol. Not as good but when it is all inclusive and you aren't paying for it, it was ok. It is a little ways from town but transportation was easy whether it be bus or taxi. Be prepared for the bus to be very full though. It was very reasonable to get a taxi when we wanted to go somewhere.

| This hotel was all it was promised to be. The swimming pool was gorgeous, the waitstaff incredibly attentive and the restraunts and food were very very good. The one problem we had, and unfortunately it put a damper on the whole trip; was the lack of air conditioning. We understood that Mexico is hot. We are from TX so heat is nothing new. However, air conditioning can be found even in the middle east today. When we were shown to our room we were told the a/c worked great "if you keep your door and window closed." Ok. When we walked into the room, the condensation on the floors and windows was obvious right away. The a/c flat out was not working. We brought it to the attention of the front desk and they had a bell boy come look at it. With his refrigeration expertise he jiggled the thermostat and announced it was now working. It never did. We again reported it and was shown another room. This room was as hot as the first and seemed to be a 5 mile walk from the elevators. We had a fan put in the room and suffered. It is a shame because, the hotel was beautiful. As was the beach and restraunts. Our stay would have been perfect if we were not sweating while showering. One last thought, the only thing air conditioned was the rooms and a room with a computer. I checked my email 50 times on this trip so I could just cool off for a minute.

I could not believe the number of people they had constantly cleaning and maintaining the grounds. The activies personnel can be a tad pushy trying to get people to participate, but they work so hard and for such long hours, it's hard to hold that against them.

| I booked my trip with Expedia, 5 days before I left. The price was amazing, for an all-inclusive, therefore I was a bit skeptical. It was a "girls' trip"...just me and my 17 year old daughter. The resort was immaculate, the staff was cleaning constantly. The pool was vacuumed several times a day and the staff was always there to serve, answer questions or to just ask how you were doing. I found the area to be very safe, security walked around a lot especially at night. The beds are not too comfortable, but we were so tired it didn't matter, we slept fine. The buffet food was good, not elegant, not fancy...just good. If you are looking for a "party place" or posh accomodations, this is NOT the place. However, if you want a very relaxing break at a nice, clean hotel, with pools and the beach just feet away at a great price...go for it. I will return for sure!!!

The drinks were very good and plenty of staff wanted to always give you more! We didn't get a chance to try the Italian restarant, we tried one morning to make reservations but it was booked. The shows nightly are very entertaining. I would say this was also a very kid friendly type of vacation, my husband and I don't have any but, it seems it would be a great family vacation. | Just got back from Samba, where my fiance and I stayed for 5 days, 4 nights. The staff was excellent- very courteous and helpful. Our room was in good shape and was cleaned notably well each day. The beach and pool were both lovely- we gravitated towards the beach for the most part as it is much quieter than the poolside area. There are many vendors on the beach, but most will leave you be quickly if you decline firmly. There were a couple of guys who just wouldn't take no for an answer and drove me a bit crazy- but such is life. The food at the buffet was generally much better than I expected. The one culinary disapointment was the Italian restaurant which was just plain awful. It was kind of a joke. But, it really didn't put us out as our expectations were low. Apparently, a lot of people enjoy the kind of entertainment they have at Samba. The staff put a lot of energy into the performances- but I found the whole thing to be horribly cheesy. But then, I can't really say what I would have enjoyed that much more. We just stuck to taking walks on the beach and having drinks at the bar. I did enjoy the smaller feel of Samba (I have stayed in larger resorts in the area before) and would consider returning. Specific criticisms aside, we had a really good vacation filled with lots of relaxation at an excellent price. You should have a great time if you choose to stay at Samba.
