| I was disappointed in this hotel for several reasons. The location is not very pleasant - the neighborhood, especially the building facing the hotel on Rusk St., is slovenly and I felt unsafe. The advertised wireless internet was not strong enough to connect, I had no coffee pot in my machine and my room only had a double bed when I requested a room with two twins. Although the recent remodeling makes the room very clean and updated, it was also very small. I have never been disappointed in a hotel that I chose from Expedia with the exception of this one.

| Hotel is well placed in downtown Houston. Services are few and rooms are not well stocked, having to go down the hall for the standard iron and board. Room had no cups and all vending machines are on the first floor. Continental breakfast for $7.50 was pitiful. Finally, rooms are extremely tight.

| This hotel would be ideal if it was in a little better part of town...it is right on the edge which made me a little nervous. I did not like my first room but the hotel management was very accommodating and let me change rooms. The rooms are smaller but fine if you are travelling solo. They all have wireless which is great for business.

| Valet parking is $20, and unless you want to walk a block from the parking structure in a less desirable neighborhood, it's the only option. No shower curtain/door and poor tiling left a pool of water over the floor. Otherwise a good stay.

| Loved the hotel and the staff but the area of the city is questionable. I would not stay here again just because I was walking a lot and I was very nervous until I got a few blocks from the hotel. Area trying to be renovated but in the mean time not a comfortable place to walk or be out late.

| Just about every review here talks about the small rooms. Here is a tip, ask for an upgrade! The rooms are small but perfect for a few days on business. Parking is a bit pricy but not as bad as other places I have stayed. Staff was eager to please and even had a smile for us grumpy business travelers. Will stay here again on my next visit for sure.

| The room was small, but not too small. Bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was a little tiny, and I had a problem with hot water in my shower. But the staff was very fast to fix the problem. $20/night for valet parking was a little steep, and I think there are options if you explore. The neighborhood isn't too great, but it's not too bad (I wouldn't want my mom or sister walking around alone at night). It is right next to the Metro Light Rail and the Main Street bar district, as well as just a few blocks from Minute Maid Park. But don't expect to find downtown Houston hopping.

| The hotel was very clean and designed particularly for the single business traveller or couples. The rooms are small, and options are only for a King bed or 2 twins. If you are planning on sleeping in separate beds, the beds are tiny and make the room appear even smaller. Free wireless high speed internet is a nice feature though.

| Not deal breakers but 1) Missed the hotel completely on the first pass driving by, found unloading was at front door, but valet parking was around the other side, 2)Didn't expect parking to be limited to $20 valet parking only and 3) Found on Sunday morning downtown Houston is closed! There are NO OPEN restaurants serving breakfast outside of the hotel's continental breakfast.

| The Houston Club Quarters provided an excellent stay. While the rooms are smallish (think European), they are efficiently laid out and are immaculately clean. The staff is friendly, there is beer/wine in the lobby in the evening, and a town car is available free to take guests anywhere in the downtown area. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the place and would stay there - or at another city's Club Quarters - again.

| I would recommend this hotel for business, but not for leisure. There are many pros and just as many cons about Club Quarters. Pros: (1) Location -- very close to many downtown Houston attractions(2) Decor -- rooms are very modern: flat-screen tv; marble bathroom counter; pillow-top mattress; nice pillows(3) Cleanliness -- everything is absolutely spotless. Smoking rooms are not available.(4) Service -- front desk personnel are very friendlyCons: (1) Room Size -- The rooms are what you'd expect in Manhattan. The entire room was 5 steps by 3 steps. Also, the windows provide a view of a brick wall. (2) Mattress Size -- Advertised as queen size, but really full size.(3) Parking -- The hotel has no parking. You have to self-park on the next block and re-pay after midnight. (4) Unfinished -- We were only there for a night. In that time, they worked on the elevators and waxed the entire lobby floor. We only saw one other guest there, and his room was right next door to ours. The elevator never stopped at another floor. Perhaps they aren't finished? Overall, I would not suggest this hotel for leisure, but it provides a quiet, inexpensive, clean stay for business.
