Very small room for "Deluxe with ocean view." The view made up for everything else the hotel lacked. The location is excellent for getting around Waikiki. Lulu's Cafe' in the same building as the hotel is reasonable and has decent food with a great view and friendly atmosphere. Hotel check in time is 3:00 p.m. Don't try and get there earlier as they won't give you a room before that time no matter what! Parking is scarce. You pay $13 a day for parking but have a hard time finding a place to park.

The room was not clean, the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything going on around us, and they could probably hear us. We were not very impressed. The other thing that bothered us was that we had to pay additional parking fees. This was not expected, so we ended up paying more for our room. We were very unsatisfied and we will not stay there again. Nor will we recommend it.

My husband and I just got back about 2 weeks ago. We were very pleased with the hotel's service and staff. I would definitely come back and stay here. It's right across from the beach. You can't beat the price for beach front property. I will say that Teddy's is a great place to eat for cheap. I wasn't impressed at all with Lulu's, which is located on 2nd Floor. We had the ocean view deluxe room and it was great for our honeymoon.

Hotel was right across the street from beach. We had an oceanview room on the 6th floor. We faced the ocean and had awesome views. You may want to try to stay up higher because there is a bus stop on the corner and it can get a bit noisy. I would definitely recommend this hotel is you want a room with a view for a low price. It is on the quiet end of Waikiki, so if you want the "young crowd excitement" you may want to stay somewhere else. But it was perfect for us.

We loved this place! It was not the most elegant hotel we have stayed in, but it was surely the most friendly. Our room was on the small side but who stays in the room in Hawaii. We also loved the location, busy but not in the hub of Oahu, only walking distance from Waikiki locations. Beautiful beaches at the front of the hotel.Lots to do!

Park Shore is an older hotel that has just been renovated. The room was nicely decorated and clean. We had a Deluxe Ocean View room and the view was postcard perfect.. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location, walk accross the street and you're on the beach.

The location of the hotel was wonderful for me and my new husband. We stayed in a Kingbed room and it was clean, but very very small. I would rank this hotel around a 3. The people were very friendly. If you are thinking about renting a car, this hotel has a parking charge of $13.00 per day. Nice restaurant around the corner that has great prices (a lot cheaper than most places on the island) and a very unique breakfast menu.

Hotel is beautiful and located in great area close to Waikiki which is across the street and up a couple blocks. Close to great shopping and restaurants. Hotel room was very nice with great views of Diamond Head and the ocean. Room a little small but no better deal for the price and great location. Hotel staff friendly and helpful.I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

After reading some of the reviews of this hotel, I was a little worried about my upcoming stay. After my husband, sister, brother-in-law and I walked into the lobby, we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's an older hotel, the rooms are small, but the experience was unforgettable. We had a magnificent view of the Pacific and Diamond Head. The park right across the street was quiet and inviting with it's sandy beach and swaying Palm Trees. We were just a pleasant stroll from all the attractions on Waikiki. Lulu's Restaurant was great fun. It's on the second floor and is open 24/7. The food was good and cheap. The menu had everything you could possibly want. It is an open-air restaurant and you can enjoy the sounds and sights of Waikiki while you eat. I have stayed in upscale hotels with less service than I got at Park Shore.

Yes, the rooms are small, but the views of Diamond Head and the beach are outstanding. The maids are accommodating and the room was kept very clean. We had everything we needed. Lulu's was a great place to start the day. I would strongly recommend this hotel to fellow Europeans, but know that our American friends are usually looking for "more". You get all that Waikiki has to offer - at a better price - and we really liked the location at the edge of the noise and bustle.

Park Shore is in a great location with great access to the beach, zoo and nearby park, but the condition of the hotel is a little less than desirable. Our room was so small you could hardly walk between the bed and TV stand, let alone get to the very small balcony which only looked straight into other hotel rooms. The room decor and furniture was nice, however the room overall seemed fairly old and dingy with a dirty appearance.

Park Shore Waikiki is one of the cheapest hotels fronting the beach -- it has small rooms and not the greatest service, but the views on the ocean/Diamondhead side are amazing!! Its directly across the from the beach and borders the zoo so there are no hotels to block the view. Try and get a room on the higher levels. The other nice thing about the location is that its at the very end of the Waikiki strip. The area is much less crowded and the bordering street (Kapahulu) takes you right out to the main Highway. There's a great bar/restaurant that borders on the beach side called LuLu's. You can get reasonably priced food and drinks 24 hours a day and has great seating overlooking the beach. Bottom line: there are better hotels, but for the price and the location its a pretty good deal.

This hotel had a great view from the balcony, but I was very disappointed in the condtion of the room. The room was very small with old stained carpeting. The bathroom was horrible, it was extremely tiny! The sink, bathroom, shower stall were all right next to each other with barely any standing room. The front desk staff seemed snooty for 3 star hotel. I should have paid the extra money for a 4 star hotel.

I was here on business and found this to be an excellent hotel for the price. The extra cost for an Oceanfront room was well worth it. The hotel is "no frills", but met my every need. I will be back on business soon and hope to stay in this hotel again.

We found the hotel room very small and cramped with no room to accomodate luggage. The bed was king size and comfortable but much too big for the room-- we had to move chairs on to the balcony so as we could move around the bed---no; we are not obese--in fact very much the opposite, and there was only 2 people. The carpets in the room were heavily stained in a no of places. Bathroom very small and hot water wasnt even lukewarm. electrical power points were out of order Will not stay there again-very disappointing ,,very poor value for money

The Park Shore is great place to stay on Waikiki. Be sure to get a Deluxe Ocean View, because you'll really enjoy lanai looking over Waikiki and/or Diamond Head. There is some traffic noice, but it's pretty quiet for Waikiki. It's a great value for ocean view. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's a shame the building owners did not renew the Denny's Lease.

the hotel was just as i expected. no frills and tiny. i had already read reviews from expedia about the hotel so i was not surprised at the smallness of the room. i tried to upgrade when i got there but there were no rooms available. there are some rooms that are roomier and with a better view. i suggest that you book the room with a view of either the park or the ocean. the housekeeping staff are very accomadating and the room actually had a great view of diamond head. if i do return i will stay in the best room they have. it is still worth the money and just close enough to everything but far away enough not to be bothered by the masses.
