For only sleeping, even then the room was cramped. Coffeepot in the bathroom -- and not enough towels or reponse from desk when asking for more. Temperature was unevenly regulated. If someone wants a place to sleep and won't be in the room much, this is the place to be. Had to leave hotel to eat -- . Location of hotel is good -- easy access to bus line and taxies. Hotel personnel were very customer service orientated and gave out-of-towners good directions.

I stayed at the Club Quarters Hotel, Philadelphia for a 4-day business trip and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and nice the accomodations were. I had not stayed at a Club Quarters Hotel prior to this visit and would do so again. Between the free wireless internet access, variety of restaurants to order room service from, and a decent sized room with a loveseat, desk, and city view, I felt very comfortable. The secure entry also made it nice as a woman travelling alone. I would try to stay there again.

I had read in other reviews that the rooms are small, but honestly wasn't prepared for how small they were. We spent very little time in the hotel so the room size wasn't a big deal, but if you have intentions of spending any length of time in the room (especially if you have more than 1 person in the room) this might not be the best place for you. We signed up for a queen size bed and got a double. We didn't bother to say anything because we were only there one night. The location is great! Right in Center City so there is a lot of shopping in close walking distance and is in a reasonable walking distance to most of the other surrounding attractions.

We enjoyed the Club Quarters in Philly. It is in a fantastic location, just steps from Rittenhouse Square. It is in the heart of a very clean and fun neighborhood that is filled with cute little shops, a shopping center, restaurants (both upscale and extremely casual) and bars. It is also right by Market Street and the business district. The room was an average size but an unusual layout. We got the standard Queen room, and it was long and narrow. It was enough space for us, as we were not in our room very much. However, the bathroom was small and had a shower but not a bath tub. The hotel has several computers in the lobby with internet access, and the staff was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I reserved rooms at the Club Quarters for out-of-town guests. Here were their comments: This hotel is one block away from Walnut Street upscale shopping, the Liberty Place mall, and various discount clothing stores on Chestnut Street. Not to mention DiBruno's, the fabulous Italian deli and cafe. We took home a care package! Hotel is also within walking distance of the Academy of Music, the Kimmel Center, the theatres on the Avenue of the Arts, and the cafe scene on Rittenhouse Square, and the Chestnut Street bus (which stops very near the hotel) goes straight to the historic district. The hotel lobby is great, with dramatic, but comfy furniture and two stations for public Internet access. Don't miss the bar and restaurant at Davio's, not part of the hotel, but accessible from the hotel lobby. The bar is comfortable, and the food is phenomenal, although pricey. The only downside to the hotel is that the rooms are a little small and somewhat awkwardly arranged. In one room, one had to climb on the bed to open the window. Staff were friendly, but a little overwhelmed at checkin and checkout. Apparently there was a convention in town, and the front desk was extremely busy.

The hotel is pretty good except for parking. It's on a busy road and there are no signs or information about where to park your car when you reach the place. You have to park your car on the right hand side with hazard light on and go one floor up to talk to a receptionist. It was a stressful and painful experience.

CQ Philadelphia was a mixed bag. The service wasn't very good; the front desk staff varied from benignly unhelpful to rude. Parking was also a big problem and expensive, and there is no space in front of the hotel to pull up and unload, which is a problem as Chestnut is a really busy street. The room was clean and a good size, but the large stain on the carpet at the entrance to the room was a bit off-putting. I have to say, though, the bed was extremely comfortable and the wireless internet worked like a charm. It was also nice and quiet.

Room was like a closet. Was no place to put luggage. One suitcase was on floor and had to step around it to get to bathroom. Bathroom also very small. Shower surprisingly was a reasonable size. If you get the standard room you had better be prepared to sleep standing up. Would not recommend this hotel for any persons other than a single person on an overnite stay.

I travel for business a lot and am not too picky, I just need a place to lay my head, high speed and a clean room. The place has got some cute rooms--generally really small, so if you like huge rooms, this isn't the place for you. High speed and access to a printer is a big plus and I beautiful and comfortable lobby/main room. Drawbacks: "Standards" at most hotels, you have to "do it yourself" here. Ex: Pick up your own iron, ironing board and ice bucket from main closet. Front desk folk are not the friendliest--but generally okay. Attractions: Right in the heart of Center City, comfy beds and great price!

This is the second hotel in this chain that I have used. It seems that they have a realy good idea of what a business traveler needs: an efficient room, clean, safe, close to all the amenities, close to public transport including airport train, good shower, quiet, with WIFI and internet access in the lobby. There is really nothing more I could need. There is an Italian restaurant sharing the main floor, but I did not try it. Numerous small eateries are in the neighborhood, including some really good Japanese noodle and sushi places. Malls and shopping everywhere. Very close to city hall and Macy's, about 1/2 mile walk from convention center and Reading Terminal Mkt. They have a sort of self-service check-in, so there is often some confusion at the desk if you haven't been to a CQ before, but the system works. The rooms are purposefully small, really aimed toward an efficient traveler who plans to be out and about more than in. Large families: I do not know how they would be accommodated. Business people who might want a suite for a meeting will probably need other option. For others, this is a great option at a very nice price per night.

Hotel was centrally located and only a couple of blocks from lots of great restaurants and shopping on Walnut Street. The room was very clean but quite small. Since there were only two of us in the room it wasn't a big deal, we spent most of our time sightseeing anyway! The street level entrance takes you directly to the elevators to the lobby area on the 2nd floor. The lobby area has wi-fi and a couple of computers for guest use. There was also complementary coffee, tea, and water avalable every time we walked through. In order to get to the upper floors, you go to another set of elevators and swipe your room key to get the elevator to work. Kind of a nice security feature. I thought this hotel provided a good value for the money. I'd stay here again.

Hello fello travelers! We stayed here on our honeymoon trip, now three years later I booked another stay (by accident;didn't realize it was the same place!). The location is great-close to just about everything. The rooms are a little small, but we don't spend much time in rooms when we travel. The biggest downside is that the elevators, which are old, are tempermental and can slow you down quite a bit if only one is working. The parking is another plus (parking is rough in Philadelphia). You park in a nice safe and clean shopping mall parking lot accross the street and validate your parking ticket for a 15% discount (which can save you a bit-ends up being about $25 per day-which again is not bad for this town!). Overall good-would stay here again on a short trip, might look for something a little swankier for an extended stay. Happy travels!!!!

I have stayed here a couple of times before and have always been very satisfied. The rooms are a bit small, but more than adequate, somewhat cozy and romantic. The location is outstanding - close to everything! Shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions, are all easily within walking distance. The historic district is a 15 minute walk down Chestnut street. Parking cam be a bit expensive - $25/day, but it's secure and you don't really need a car to get around the area. It's also has a great lobby to sit in, read, or just people watch. There is a very nice eclectic mix of people who stay here. If you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway this is an excellent choice.
