| The surroundings at the Atlantis couldn't be more beautiful. We just couldn't understand why the staff was so rude. Getting room service took way too long. Check in took forever. No one offered any information on booking excursions, dining, or anything else. We had to seek out the information we needed. Tipping didn't seem to help either. The staff just had additude with a captital A. We were also annoyed that there were no coffee machines in the room, and no vending machines for pop. Every time you wanted a cup of coffee or a soft drink it cost $4.

| I wasn't able to show up at the hotel for the first night because my flight to Bahamas had been cancelled due to mechanical problem of American Eagle. As the hotel charged me for the first night, I asked the hotel to issue the receipt so that I can submit it to American Eagle for reimbursement. However, the hotel was totally indifferent and unsincere with respect to my accident and did not issue any receipts. They are just proud of their high-presence in Bahamas and not interested in "customer satisfaction". I will never use this hotel again.

| We had a great time at the Atlantis. Everything was wonderful. Access to the Imperial Club was included in our reservation. They served breakfast daily, had afternoon tea, happy hour from 5-7 with free drinks and evening desert time. That was great. The hotel staff coordinated wonder excursions for us. Could not have asked for anything more. Only thing that was a disappointment was the cost of things once we got there. The services and food at the resort were outrageously expensive. Only my husband and I went, so it was OK. But it would be very expensive to have a family vacation here, excluding the price of the rooms.

| Having stayed at hundreds of places around the world, this is one of the top 10 for value and entertainment. Every turn brings another touch to the senses from water features in the lobby to million gallon fish tanks. The food was sensational, the service the best. Spend the extra and utilize the Imperial Club offering at the Royal Towers. The Spa is sensational. Go and enjoy....24 hours a day of fun. Well worth a long weekend or week long trip. Don't miss out on a day trip to the local Arcadia Zoo; if you love flamingos you will go nuts for this place. Straw market downtown, get there early and out fast. The surry rides were ok....Spend your money at the resort.... Great place to go, and have already set aside time to go back with the kids....

| We stayed in the Royal Towers in a room with a water view for a week in late September/early October 2005. It was a standard sized room, but had an excellent view. The room was always made up perfectly. We dined in the hotel several times. We especially enjoyed the Dune, which is in the One and Only Ocean Club (there is a complimentary shuttle service there from the Royal Towers entrance). The Marketplace, which serves buffet dining, was very nice, as well. We ate breakfast there, every day of our trip and dinner there, twice. We had one bad experience, where the lady that cooked the eggs was very nasty, most likely due to a clash with a customer. However, aside from that, the service was excellent. The pools and beach were not very crowded in the morning, but as noon approached got a bit crowded. The water slides were loads of fun, and even taking strolls around the hotel was enjoyable. The casino was a lot larger than we expected and we had fun there, as well, and came away with a profit! We enjoyed our trip and the hospitality of the Bahamian people. We'll definitely go back.

| Just got back from a week's family vacation that was overpriced at every turn, food, room etc. Almost had to beg hotel employees for any kind of service. The resort itself is huge and beautiful, loved the "Dig" and the beach but hated all the crowds and got tired out with the sheer enormity of the property. The food was mediocre at best, even at the finer establishments and be sure to make reservations as SOON as you get there. All in all not worth the price but the Bahamas are full of natural beauty, stay somewhere else and visit Atlantis.

| The hotel staff were very helpful when ask for assistance. The employees at the restaurants were well groomed and professional. Good food, way too expensive. For all the money you spend on food and other(all other) items, I think the rooms should be a little more posh. The rooms were okay, just not as nice as they could be. The developers obviously placed more emphasis on the resort, as a water park, not a hotel. Still an awesome sight to see. The resort as a whole is an optical wonder. Beautiful.

| Although the Atlantis is beautiful to look at, I would not recommend it to my friends. We stayed for 8 days and couldn't wait to leave. The meals were good but the costs were enormous. If you don't get to the pool early there is no way you can get a lounge chair unless you bribe the pool guy. If we didn't leave a tip everyday the room maid didn't empty the trash or leave enough towels.Nothing to do at night, pool closes @7:00pm

| I don't get some of these reviews bashing the Atlantis the place is amazing, yes it is a bit pricey but its worth it. The place is more like a waterpark than just a hotel. It has amazing pools, its on the ocean, the weather is incredible and there's plenty for the kids to do. Club Rush is availibe for the teens, the Atlantis has a complimentery movie theatre, a small library which is very convenient and Camp Discovery Channel for the younger ones. We found the staff to be very nice and enjoyable, and the maids were very polite. The only minus ,i'm really nitpicking here, is that theres no arcade; which i find very odd for a resort of this size. There is a lot of walking! If you want to enjoy all the Atlantis has to offer be prepared to walk, each tower has pools near it but you may not have noticed some of the other ones if you stay in your tower's area they are spread out and so are the restaurants

| My husband and I visited the Atlantis on our honeymoon. The hotel is gorgeous and there is so much to do. My favorite part was probably the aquariums and the ocean view from our room. The only complaint I had, besides the extrememly high priced food, was the attempt to sell me a time share every time I pased through the lobby. We learn quickly to walk outside.

I recommend not doing the meal plan unless you are very big eaters, and swimming with the dolphins which was a lot of fun. we plan to go back in 2007 (hopefully) when the expansion is complete. I also reccommend Atlantis to couples and families... I wouldn't go with a group of my girlfriends since there isn't much of a nightlife.

| I feel the hotel could be more organized. Check in line was not organized. Room was not ready and we had to come back to the desk 3 times. Room was nice but would not say it was anything fancy. The property is gorgeous and alot to do for the entire family. Would be nice if there was an area designated for adults so that you could escape the noise of the kids! For a quick getaway where you can stay on property and do all the water sports, fishing etc., makes it great. The food was excellent although very expensive. I would consider going back for a long weekend.

| My husband and I just returned from Atlantis for an anniversary trip and we loved it! I had read several negative reviews so I was a little nervous as to what we were going to experience. I have to say all the naysayers were completely wrong!! The people could not have been nicer and the resort was fabulous! Definitely stay at the Royal Towers. The Lazy River ride was our favorite. All of the "gourmet" restaurants were awesome. We did the gourmet meal plan but found that we would have spent the same amount of money on food each day than if we had not been on the plan, so it was a wash. The food is pretty expensive, but great! I think if you like to drink, its not necessary to do the meal plan. If you do not drink alcohol, do the meal plan. Just to give you an idea, we ate a full bkfst every AM, split a burger and fries for lunch, had a few drinks and ate a full gourmet dinner (with drinks) every day and we spent @ $250/day on food. I would definitely go back It was very relaxing.

| This hotel was the greatest. Take it from me, I am from Las Vegas and know what hotels are suppose to be, I had high expectation and believe me they were met!! Not only was the resort breath taking, but the view from the 20th floor of the Royal Tower is amazing. To truely enjoy this Resort, you will need $$$$$ !!!! You will need not to penny pinch to enjoy your stay. We ourselves stayed at the Royal Towers and booked the Imperial Club ~~ it was great. The room is great ~ pillows and sheets are 500 thread count sateen cotton, the maid service has a surprise for you nightly in your room, so be sure to turn off do not disturb sign when you leave your room. With the Imperial Club you will be able to take advantage of the Club service, meaning you have your Concierge Service 24/7 at your beckon call. Also they provide you food and beverage for breakfast, lunch, midnight snacks, and alcohol included during cocktail hours. The employee are so nice. Can't wait to go back to experience the new expansion and tower.

| Very seldom do we find a place that can be both Family and an Adult getaway. And that's just what we did. Got away for a weekend with the little ones. The staff and services were top notch. And we stay a lot of places and are super critical. Nearly everyone goes so far out of their way to make your stay pleasant that when one doesn't it stands out. (Yea, we found one.) If you can, go for the Royal Towers. And if you can take one more step up, swing to a suite. Sweet! Sure the dining is over priced but so is most of the off hotel restaurants. But you still get quality and variety. Now we are planning a week with the kids in June or July. Enjoy!

| We went during Spring Break and found it to be crowded but not overly so. With so many different pools, the ocean lagoon and the ocean, it's easy to find somewhere to swim. Feared the worst with many bad comments on Fodors, but found it to be a good resort experience. Rooms need some maintenance like a fresh coat of paint. Bathrooms in most hotels I've been in,this one included, have never been as clean as I would like. Service for us was great. Many employees everywhere; none balked at our requests.
