| If you're less mobile, having kids or older family members with you, this place is quite good. Think of it as a cruis that doesn't go anywhere. Waves in the ocean can get too big to swim safely, but there are plenty of pools (5) Food is very reasonable

| We had a great time overall. Great breakfast buffet. Lots of food and variety. Great snack bar by kids pool. Drinks, drinks, and more drinks. You can always ask to make them stronger (mas tequilla por favor!) Speaking of that, most employees speak English, although some better than others. I speak Spanish so I had no issue either way. The beds are hard. Concrete platform with somewhat thin matress. But maid service very good. Our master bath had some sewage smell though. The restuarant were good to very good. Mexican and Steak House (outside by pool) were marginal, but other two were very good. Making reservations is a hassle. Plan on eating in dining room first night. They aren't open til 6:30 either. Beware the time share sales pitch. If you do decide to go to it, make sure you get at least a free tour (like the tequilla factory). Vendors on beach not too pushy but do barter with them. Best deal in town is T-Shirts (about $2.50 US). I didn't even bother to barter on those! Kids had a blast at kids pool and I appreciated ample shade on beach (coconut palms and thatched umbrella sun shades. We highly recommend this place, despite the few little issues.

| The food was typical all-inclusive. The service and hospitality was great. The rooms were very clean. The bed was horribly hard (and I like a firm bed). The worst was the shows that were 2 buildings over were so loud they kept me up until midnight every night. The walls are paper thin. Overall, it was OK. But next time, I will choose a nicer non-inclusive hotel (more competitive for comfort) and eat the local food.

| This hotel really has great service and the staff was always helpfull. We really didn't even need to go outside of the hotel for anything (although we did). The beach was great and clean. I was expecting to be bothered by the time-share sales people on the beach/streets because eveyone complained about them so much on the reviews I read; but surprisingly I wasn't bothered once while I was there. The only complaint that I have about the hotel was that the room was really musty and the smell was really strong. I almost didn't want to spend time in the room (maybe it's because we stayed in a room on the ground floor?). Dinner reservations are really worth it, the food is great at these restaurants! Overall it was a great vacation!

| There was a hard sell on time shares (Vacation Packages). Bed was very hard. Food was average to above average depending on which resturaunt. Overall though we had a great time. We will go back and now we know how to avoid the sales pitch.

| Our family of three teenagers and three adults had a fun, entertaining, and relaxing vacation for eight days. There was always something fun going on with the entertainment staff. The nightly dance shows were a blast with a couple audience participation shows mixed in for some extra comedy. The food and drink were abundant and excellent at all of their resteraunts. The only complaint I could make is the brand of beer that they were contractually committed to serve. I got past that.

| My husband and I were just there last week, it was a beautiful hotel, very well kept. The staff were friendly and curtious. The food was great, there are 6 different restaurants to choose from and the bars can make just about any drink you can think of. Beware of the "time share" sales people, they start to sell right at the airport! It is OK to by tours from the sales people on the beach, we bought from a guy there and paid about 1/4 the cost of the tour. Have a great time!

| The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful, their english are limited however. Lots of fun and family oriented activities. The hotel design is not the best, but good enough. The drinks recipes are not good, ie: kamikaze doesn't taste like it, etc. The drinks can be strong sometimes, can be weak sometimes. The view is great at sunset. The game room has xbox for kids if needed. The only complain is their bugs. The beds or linen seem to be itchy for us. You can find bees everywhere, big ants in several areas. The food in the restaurants are Americanized. The buffet food is more local. We prefer local food so we ate at buffet most of the time. The buffet food are edible and better than a lot of other places/restaurants.

| I would like to thank the staff at Grand Marival Resort. We had a great time. Very Friendly and helpful. When we got to the Hotel it was raining and we hurried into the hotel. That's when I found out I had left my video camera in the taxi. The crew at the hotel phoned the front and they got the taxi number. This wasn't going to ruin our trip. But the next day the hotel checked back with the taxi company at the airport and the taxi driver returned the video camera! Yes we were very impressed with the people of Mexico. Every thing that was promissed was delivered in a big way! Thanks so much. Tim & Elizabeth

| The resort is nicely kept, great beach, lots of activities, however, mostly geared for smaller children. Not much for our teens to do,they were too young to get into the disco, two tennis racquets and one bow at archery time for the whole resort. The food was less than desirable, we were expecting really good authentic mexican food and were very disappointed by what was served. We were treated rudely by the woman in charge of dinner reservations. The beds were absolutely horrible, very small for two adults and just as hard as sleeping on the concrete. We did have fun at casino night and the mexican fiesta was entertaining.

| Great place to stay, all our wants and needs taken care of without a single hastle. Yes, the beds are a little firm, but after a day in paradise, we had no trouble falling or sleeping all night. The entertainment was tops, the staff friendly and very helful. The restaurants were great and the buffet restaurant was cleaner than any we have ever seen. All types of foods available and plenty of it to. Not one single complaint about the food or services in the different restaurants. As we stated, we will return, soon.

| My husband and I came for our 5 year anniversary. Even though Expedia forgot to place our reservation, the hotel was kind enough to still give us a room. We loved that it had a variety of restaurants and activities. The snack bar/bar was open until 2:30 am and had great salsa, chips and guacamole. We liked that they offered a variety of activities and that it was very kid-friendly (waterslides, childrens play area, mini golf, clubhouse, etc.). There are only 2 downsides to this hotel... --The food is just fair, but better than most restaurants in Mexico --The beds in the hotel are awful. The stiff mattresses are placed on a concrete slab. No box spring. The pillows are also very stiff. Even though the beds were so awful, we do plan to come back with the kids (1yr,3yrs) because we think they will have a wonderful time.

| The hotel was great. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There are bars everywhere so you can get a drink everywhere you go. The room was huge with a 2 story 2 bed and 3 bathrooms. Very comfortable and enjoyable. The staff tries every hard to make everyone feel welcom greeting everyone and had a fun show every night. Best part of the whole trip is that you do not need your wallet. Bad part....time share pitch but just don't go and they won't bother you.

| My friend and I left our husbands at home and went to Marival for 6 days. We had a great time, and would do it again. We loved having all the activities to participate in and the beach and pool was not crowded. The buffet food was not very good, but the restaurants at night were great. No major complaints.

| Resort is also a timeshare, the rental property has more comfort and appeal than the hotel itself. Although, most guest were staying in the hotel not the TS. We were not that impressed with quality of food or drinks offered, no doubt there was plenty of quanity! The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful..

| This resort was the best. When they say all inclusive they do really mean just that, you could stay the whole week or 2 and never see any money or credit cards and nothing is added at the end that you do not know about. The staff are just great, the meals are 5 star plus and the bars are open from 10am to 3am with just about any drink you want including cocktails available. This is the best holiday we have ever had.Just great.

| The food was bad; mostly buffet style with no sneeze guards, people reaching into the pans with their fingers, and not worth it.Even the 3 sit-down restaurants get their food from the same bad common kithen. We were careful but sick by Tuesday and ate rice and plain pasta the last there days.Three of our seven dinners were at Subway ($3 cab ride). The Information desk at the lobby is just a front for a relentless high-pressure time share pitch. The staff would answer anything to questions just to make us go away. Our 9 year old's teddy bear was apparently wrapped up in the sheets and even though the laundry is done in house and we spent hours pleading for its return, nothing. In fact, they security came to the room and ransakcekd our suit cases and clothes in an effort to prove we were hiding the bear.Save your money.

| The hotel grounds, overall layout, pools, food, drinks, services great. The staff was absolutely wonderful, accomodating and lovely. The hotels felt clean and the grounds were manicured. It was very peaceful and accomodating as far as quiet pools, more active pools, child care, etc. Drinks and bar were awesome! But! The beds were the worst beds I've ever slept on in my life - not exaggerating. . .EXTREMELY hard, literally hurt. Had to make reservations for all restaurants - normally didn't get in unless you got up early at 7am to book for the next night - that was inconvenient and not mentioned in our package. Also, once we got to the restaurants they were only about 1/2 full so they could have accomodated more people. Overall, I would go again - just wished for a few changes.
