| My children and I used to spend one week in february every year at this facility when it owned by another company. I returned there this year for old times sake and was greatly disappointed. There's not enough staff to maintain such a resort. The food was horrid. My room consistantly was not cleaned until after 6:00PM. This resort now cannot compare to what it was like previously. Too bad.

| I stayed at the Grande the first week in Jan. it was a wonderful vacation.Staff was helpfull, could use a little more staff at front desk and actavity desk. The food was good ! And I loved the town of Ocho Rios, we hooked up with a cab driver that was at our service all week, very helpfull and saved us a lot of time getting to the sights we wanted to see and do. Can't wait to go back some day.... It's a long drive from the airport, but it's a good way to see some of the country side and small towns....Happy Travels

| We have stayed at this location when the hotel was managed by another company. The newly remodeled areas are contemporary and cold, not a warm Jamaican or carribean style of decorating. They have removed a great deal of vegetation on this resort and added more concrete, pools, walls, etc. The resteraunts are reservations only, and fill up days in advance (no shorts, or flip-flops). The service was terrible in the Chinese resteraunt. Coffee is only available in stations around the resort, no longer in the rooms and no longer Jamaican. We spoke to management mid-way during our stay and they said someone would contact us--we heard from noone. The employees were so tight lipped this time, that you could barely get a hello from them, like they were recently threatened. Plus, tipping is not allowed and these people make very little. Next year we will stay next door in the hotel called "Rooms" without the all-inclusive price and dissappointment.

| Words can't describe the beauty of this hotel. The huge open lobby is so awesome! Everyone was so friendly and accomodating. The food is SO good. However, I would skip the Chinese restaurant, not worth the time, we end up going to the buffet afterwards. Pools surrounds the resort, private beach. If you're easy-going, and you want to relax during your vacation, Go to Sunset Jamaica Grande!!

| We went there during Christmas and New Year time...it was terrible. The hotel does not have enough personal to serve during holidays. Check-in time is at 3 p.m., we arrived at 10 a.m. and after overnight flight had to wait for almost 6 hours to finally get the room. We were charged a deposit for the security box that was broken and did not operate. After long bargaining with the service manager and another sleepless night due to outside noise, we were finally transferred to another room with a leaking air conditioner. Food at the buffet was ordinary, no seafood was served accept for one kind of fish prepared either grilled or boiled, waiters are slow on serving drinks or cleaning tables, I was personally told to get the drinks myself on several occasions. The swimming territory was restricted due to cruise ships and boats, the deepest you can get is up to waist line, which would be good for kids, but not for my almost 6 feet husband who enjoys swimming not crawling.

| Definitely enjoyed my stay. The absolute only disappointing thing was the lack of local food. The buffet and cafes featured predominantly American food.

| This was our second visit to this hotel. The general accomodations are acceptable, however the common areas, conditions need to be greatly improved. Examples: 1. the elevators need to be maintained at all times as people come and go constantly. Handprints on the glass and wet floors of the elevators should not be tollerated. 2. Common areas are the hallways, walkways. Disgarded food items, glasses cups and the like were left for hours after use. I personally suggested to the attendent who cleaned our hotel room to have these items removed from the floor. Note the food item are left on the tables accross from the elevators and outside of guest hotel rooms. Someone should sweep these areas and make sure these things are not accumulating, if so removed.

| Would have liked to have more Jamaican food and better quality food. More variety in nightly entertainment. Speciality restaurants (Italian and South Beach) were nice. Layout of hotel is beautiful.
