| I stayed there during the Labor Day weekend. My room key did not work when I checked in. I was told somebody would come to fix it. Nobody came for at least an hour. I went to the front desk and was told it will be fixed. When we came back at night. The new key did not work either. They asked me to change room. I moved to 4-5 different rooms. Most of room's door keys were not working. Finally there is a room with working key on another floor, but I have to move again tomorrow. I refused to do so. They moved me to a smaller room on another floor after I asked to call the manager. It was not easy when you had to carry luggage to different floors at night. We were going to movie theater, but did not want to go after 45 minutes moving. We did not receive any apology from the hotel.

| Overall nice Hotel, a bit upset that the website stated internet access in rooms but then found out it costs $10 a day for it after we checked in. Front desk staff could use some hospitality training, they seemed unfriendly. Rooms were clean, unlike much of the rest of D.C. . I would probably not stay there again unless it was a great price.

| Hotel is at a very good location for visitors close to the union station and the capitol building... Rooms were well maintained and well decorated... Only negative for our room was the a/c which seemed a bit weak even at it's highest setting, but it wasn't bad enough to cause us any discomfort... Staff were friendly and helpful, though some of them (not being locals) didn't have basic information we were looking for about the town... Overall we were very happy about picknig this hotel and would recommend it to any visitors interested in checking out the national mall and the sorrounding monuments...

| I recently spent four nights at the Phoenix Park just before the July 4th celebrations. From the moment I was greeted at the entrance, the service could not have been more friendly. Every request was met promptly and graciously. The staff even remembered my requests and followed up to make sure my needs were met. The room, while small, was more than adequate for my needs. It had been newly redecorated, and was very attractive. Matching wallpaper and drapes with coordinating linens made me feel like I was staying in an English/Irish manor house. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept in. The room featured full amenities: hairdryer, coffee set-up, etc. A special treat was an oversized bath sheet. Location is all-important in Washington, and the Phoenix Park's position makes it ideal. Only one block from Union Station makes it readily accessible to the Metro and a wide choice of restaurants. The Capitol and Mall museums are within walking distance. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, especially at the excellent rate offered. I had a luxurious stay on a cheapskate's budget.

| I stayed here on a 5-day business trip. The rooms are quite small, but very nicely decorated and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel provides a wonderful terry cloth robe. The hotel staff was very helpful.

| This hotel was very convenient for events on Capitol Hill and close to Smithsonian Museums. The room was clean and nicely furnished, with a really comfortable bed. Unfortunately, a 6th floor outside room (5 stories above the Dubliner restaurant/pub) was quite noisy until closing time. Hotel staff were helpful, although room service items were not up to par -- coffee was cold and "Irish soda bread" was just yeast bread with raisins.
