| Much as the rectangular speedway that is the city's trademark, I-465 surrounds Indianapolis in a giant rectangular loop. The Indianapolis Wyndham Hotel is located just outside the north central point of the loop just off of the city's main north/south road, Meridian Ave. Nestled in a relatively quiet (still under construction?) commercial area, the meandering drive to the hotel from the street gives promise to a nice bucolic stay. Alas, the planners of the hotel did patrons a disservice when the building with the rooms in it (as opposed to the nice front building with restaurant, bar, and meeting rooms) was built right next to I-465. The all-night traffic noise was the only weak area in this otherwise comfortable and well-run hotel's operation. A small point to the traveller. The hotel restaurant's breakfast buffet is a bit overpriced (although the service staff was terrific), but there are few breakfast options in the nearby neighborhood.

| Appearance of hotel was good, staff was friendly and eager to assist with questions. Room was large in size. Bathroom needed a little attention, rust in hardware and hair in tub and floor. Overall, pleased with stay and would stay again.

| In general the hotel is fine. The location worked well for me. It was convenient for me to meet the people I had come to town to meet. The restaurant service was good and the food was OK. If I were to stay there again, I would request a room that did not face the interstate. The traffic is constant and noisy - at times it feels like trucks are drving through your room.

| Room at bit musty, but overall the hotel is clean and fairly new. Customer service at the hotel was good during the day, but awful at night when I checked in. Location is not very good, it is close to highway, but there is nothing around. I will not be going back. Value is OK, but there are many better options

| Doors slamming constantly (automatic spring - slamming was so intense it constantly vibrated my bed most of the night), screaming guests in hallway at night (adults once night, uncontrolled children and toddlers the next night until very late), wakeup call early in the morning (5:30 a.m. one morning, 8:00 a.m. the next!) when I didn't request it(I was on vacation!), 100 feet (maybe that far) from 10 lanes of speeding US Interstate Highway with little sound proofing. Not a restful stay. Don't know if I'll stay there again. Plus side: cleanest room I've ever stayed in, staff service was courteous and prompt, but for the price I was expecting a much more peaceful stay.

| We had stayed at this hotel before and loved it. Beautiful hotel and the room was spectacular. We of course decided to return for next visit to area. The hotel was still beautiful but the hotel staff was down right rude. One elevator was broke and making very loud noises, we witnessed another guest report it to the front desk and the clerk practically yelled at him. We will shop around for our next trip to the area...sad to say...

| We had a couple of folks staying in the hotel, and some of the rooms were fine. However, the rooms that faced the highway (especially the room on the 5th floor), were AWFUL! You could've pitched a tent on the side of the road and had less room. There was no escape from the constant and horrifically loud noise. Insist on a room away from the highway, and if there are none available, find another hotel!
