Sheraton guests swim in the indoor lap pool, relax in the adjacent spa tub, and read on the large outdoor patio. On the second floor, near the pool, the fitness center’s equipment includes two treadmills and stair machines. The hotel’s complimentary shuttle operates on a schedule to National Airport, Old Town, and the Metro stop nearest the hotel. The Sheraton’s complimentary Love That Dog program gives canine guests special beds and treats. Their human companions receive a map of good areas to walk their pals, as well as plastic gloves and bags for clean-up detail.

This Sheraton offers guests an indoor lap pool with an adjacent spa tub, and a fitness center featuring two treadmills and stair machines. Four blocks from the hotel, a jogging and cycling path weaves through woods past lovely views of the Potomac River on its way to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home, 8 miles south. The nearest golf course is 5 miles across the Potomac in Washington at Hains Point. It has 18 holes, a driving range, and miniature course overlooking the river. What to expect: Located in one of Washington’s most historical and attractive suburbs, this updated hotel was built in 1987. The spacious, restful lobby overlooks an enclosed brick patio with tables, chairs, and raised beds of seasonal flowers. During the week, most clients have business with the federal government and corporations nearby. On weekends vacationers arrive, in town to see the sights or attend weddings.
Amenity highlights: The hotel’s fitness center is equipped with two treadmills, stair machines, a stationary bike, weight machines, free weights, and a TV. A few steps beyond are the indoor lap pool and spa tub. Dog owners can request Sheraton’s complimentary Love That Dog (LTD) program, which supplies canine guests with special beds and a map of dog-friendly spots in Old Town.
Insider tip: Old Town Alexandria’s quaint shops are some of the area’s best. King Street is the main thoroughfare, but guests also enjoy exploring side streets. The British Collection Company on South Royal Street sells and serves tea in a tidy little room. Two blocks west on St Asaph Street, Fetch carries dog treats shaped like postal workers and cats. And on King Street, Gallerie La Taj is a mini-museum of African art.
Fin & Hoof - As the name implies, the Fin & Hoof Restaurant is the place for beef and seafood, perhaps followed by a glass of port and fine cigar in the adjacent bar. It also serves lunch. At breakfast, the mood in the softly lit dining room changes as chefs unveil a large buffet with omelet and waffle stations.

| Room was clean and bed was comfortable, suites are nice for extra room but the hotel is not in a convenient location and the shuttle service for airport only runs every hour in the afternoons.

| The location in Alexandria was a very good balance with the Old Town in walking distance and D.C. easily accessible. While the Hotel is not luxurious, it had solid ammenities and the property was well cared for.

| The hotel staff were very friendly and the room itself was exceptional for the price. Within walking distance of Old Town it's a great place to stay!

| Hotel room was very clean, beds comfortable. Had a little trouble with the shower, but when I called someone came up within 5 minutes to fix the problem. Staff were helpful and very friendly, first time in Virginia, had business with a hospital CEO, he was impressed by the hotel and staff. Resturant needs to be improved, service was ok, but the food was not. Meat was overdone, need a new chief. But otherwise a really nice stay.

| We were there to attend a wedding but this is a great location in Old Town Alexandria for a visit to Washington DC. Walking distance to Washington DC Metro, convenient to Regan National. Close to Mt. Vernon. Old Town Alexandria is really cute, fun shops & restaurants. Sheraton staff very helpful & free shuttle to & from airport & comfortable rooms.

| We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beds were awesome! Nice suites. Convenient shuttle service to airport and metro station and Old Town Alexandria which enabled us to do without a rental car for three days until we moved on to Williamsburg. Staff very friendly and helpful. We liked it so much we stayed a week later for a night before flying home. Definitely will stay again

| The rooms are extremely comfortable - having the bedroom separated from the livingroom is wonderful. On the downside, it is about 8 blocks from the heart of old town and it is about a 30 minute walk from the metro. There is a shuttle that will take you to the airport and you can grab the metro there but it seems out of the way and is much longer than if they took you to the King St. Metro. However, other than the location issue, it is a very nice hotel.

| My girlfriend and I spent 5 nights here. The suite was nice and comfortable, but felt cramped. The pool and jacuzzi are indoors, but are only available for a limited time everyday - I believe it was from 4pm-10pm. The gym is small, but adequate. The restaurant onsite is definitely overpriced for what you get. Try the Stardust located a block away. We had a good lunch there at a reasonable price. The Villa De Este Italian restaurant across the street was fair and overpriced - dont waste your time. Grocery store a block away was convenient. Beds were comfortable.
