| The food is decent but don't expect too much. They have 3 "specialty restaurants" that require you to wait in line @ 8:30 each morning for a reservation. The food is B quality at best. The bartenders are second to none in the lobby!

| The RIU isn't the most modern of hotels, but if you are looking for a quaint, not overcrowded place to stay at a reasonable price...this is the place to go. It is located on a gorgeous beach right next to another popular hotel with a casino in it. Downfalls: Pool is too small and closes at 6 PM. Music played in pool area is terrible. Specialty restaurants aren't as good as they should be.

| This was the perfect place to stay! Right next door to Atlantis and the Casino. Lots of shopping around. I was very impressed by the food and the kindness of the hotel staff. They were very nice!

| We arrived late due to flight delays & our room was given away even though we had already paid in full. We were told we were getting a nicer suite @ no charge since it was their mistake. This room was filthy & had not been cleaned. We waited several hours for housekeeping after they kept telling us they're on their way. Next night our bathroom was filled with water from the toilet overflowing...waited another hour or so for cleaning.

| Prior to booking this trip I had gotten rave reviews about Riu hotels in other locations (Jamaica and Cancun) and arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately they werent met as the food was below the quality of other all inclusives I had went to, it lacked real Bahamian culture which I was looking forward to experiencing and the rooms were mediocre (with tough beds) as well as stains on the carpet outside my room. Every morning of our three night stay our bathroom was flooded, someone came to look at it once and it was not fixed for the rest of my stay. The beach is beautiful, I would definately return to Riu for that but watch out for jellyfish! For a real Bahamian experience I would recommend you stay in downtown Nassau, we spent an entire day there and enjoyed it immensely

| We arrived on a Thursday for a long weekend. Take a taxi from the airport for quick service. There was a line at check-in but it went quick. Our first room was #300 & it was very large but had a view of the top of the store. I returned to the front desk & ask about a room with an ocean view. We were then moved to a room on the 15th floor. Nice sized with a great view down the beach. The refrigerator was stocked with pepsi products & miller beer & mixers. The was a cabinet on the wall stocked with rum, vodka, gin & wine. The food was good. We never made reservations for the other dining options because we did not want to get up to get in line plus we wanted to eat on our timeline. The drinks we good & maybe a little strong but after two drinks no problems. We liked the entire weekend, relaxing, no rush. Life is good at this resort. We are planning to return. Kevin

| I read previous expedia reviews of this hotel and had some reservations.i paid extra for deluxe ocean view and our room was the last room over the airconditioning units. Fortunately, we did have quite a bit of ocean view. i think they should discount the rooms over the air conditioning units. otherwise my stay was very pleasant. the food was very good, the drinks were excellent, the service was good and the hotel staff was pleasant. the room was spacious and very clean. the refrigerator in the room did not get very cold. check it when you first get into your room.I would definitely stay there again.

| The RIU Paradise, may be one of the worst maintained hotels of their properties. It is run down ( I have stayed in second rate Motels that were better). The pool is to small for such a busy hotel and is filthy ( while we were there they closed it for one day). We stayed on the 12th floor with a beautiful view and two huge air conditioning fans that souded like jet engines. To add insult to injury they have Karaoke at night in their theater which is so loud that we heard it on the 12th floor. When I complained the front desk was indignant. The beach is lovely but be prepared to be accosted by umberella and ski jet hawkers.
