| The hotel is located one mile from the city centre and is on a main bus route. The hotel is located in a very quiet residential area and is ideal for a relaxing stay in Edinburgh. Originally an elegant Victorian mansion in the grand Scottish tradition, the Orwell Lodge has been tastefully renovated and extended in recent years to combine the charm of the old with a modern comfortable feel. The 10 ensuite bedrooms are decorated in a traditional fashion and located on the first and second floors accessible by stairs only. All rooms are equipped with tea/coffee tray, TV, hair dryer and telephone.

| More than 30 min. walk to the city center but reasonable price. A bus stop which reads you to the city is just in front of the hotel. One pound for one way bus travel. The room was not bad but the bath room was not satisfactory.
