| Hotel is located close to the Central Bus and Train station, and only 5-10 min. walk to the commercial centre and habour of Trieste. I received a very spacious and clean double room with a comfortable big double bed. It was very simple equipped and mostly with floors without carpet. It was OK and the service was good, friendly and flexible.

| We stayed here 3 separate nites. First nite was awful with a large crowd of European teen swimmers in town for a tournament. They were in the halls all nite. Hotel is on a very noisy corner. 2nd nite 20 days later was not too bad with a better room. 3rd nite was two nites later and there was a large crown of teenagers overnite on a bus tour. They were in the halls all nite. Room was hot and air conditioning was off ("They didn't expect it to be this warm so soon"). With the noise outside and the noise inside, I would not recommend this hotel for tired older people.

| I liked the Novo Impero alot. It was clean, efficient, close to everything, and easy to find if you are driving into town from the west. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was neat and clean. I didn't especially care for the beds, as they are stiff, but that seems to be the case throughout Italy. We stayed in several very nice places during our trip and as far as I was concerned, the Novo Impero rated high for the price and what it offered.
